Indie smirked ''I think you might be mistaken there Darcy. You're even a snob when it comes to drinking. I don't mind the cheap stuff. And I can pay for myself, thank you very much.'' she said as she reached into her bag and got the money for her drinks out. She didn't want him paying anything for her. As they waited for the drinks she couldn't help but observe him, he was gorgeous. He was the type of man that you wouldn't think actually existed he was that handsome. She just found it sad that someone so handsome was so vile. He had such an awful view of her and her family and anyone else who wasn't as rich and it made her sick. Unlike her mother she didn't act like she was some upper class person, she wasn't and she was never would be. Every penny she had she earned herself. She hated taking from her parents, she wanted to find her own way in this world. That's why she worked the parties and attended them. That's also why she sold clothes and other things that she made. She wanted to be independent. If it was her way she wouldn't even live with her parents anymore, she would be in her own little apartment. ''You don't have to do what Eric says, Darcy. I'm perfectly happy on my own so you go do your thing.'' she said as she paid for her drinks. She grabbed her shots and knocked them back like a pro, not even wincing at the burn in the back of her throat.

Nate leaned against the bar next to her and smirked a little as she spoke. He could tell how much she didn't want him there and it made him want to stay there just to get on her nerves. He chuckled ''Ah, I can tell how much you don't want me here, Violet. So.. I'm going to stay. Eric wanted me to stay so I'll stay.'' he said as he ordered himself a drink and took a seat at the table she was once sat at with her sister. He didn't want to talk to her or get to know her or anything, he just wanted to annoy her with his presence. There was something quite enjoyable about making her angry and seeing her frustrated face.

Violet's eye twitched slightly as she watched him take a seat beside her, where her sister had once been seated. She couldn't believe this man, he wanted to waste his night trying to frustrate her even more instead of going off and actually having fun. "Your pathetic, Nathaniel. Like a child, i'm not surprised that women choose to walk the other way when they see you. Clearly your quite the disappointment and I've heard the stories that would agree with that too." She shot at him with a rather smug look on her face as she downed the rest of her drink in one big gulp. Her eyes met the bartenders and he instantly got the idea, going off to collect her a new drink. She then moved her attention back to the annoying man sat beside her. She knew he hated people using his full name so that's why she usually used it, just to make him tick. If he wanted to waste his time annoying her then she had no problem playing him at the same game. Although, she was sure that both her sister and his best friend wouldn't be happy about what was going on between them. Her sister had already mentioned how handsome Nate was and that she should go and speak with him but Violet simply explained to her what a simple minded idiot the man was. "Are you really going to waste your night sitting here trying to annoy me? I really don't think that Eric would be that bothered if you decided to leave and talk to another woman because trust me, i'd be overjoyed if you did." She flashed him a small smile just as the bartender slid her glass across to her and she caught it in one hand, transferring it to the other before taking a sip.

Jacob didn't have to be told he was a snob to know he was one because he was very aware of it. He lived the high life, he had money pouring out of his wallet so why not enjoy the finer things. Plus, they were far better than the cheap one's that people like Indie purchased. If only she actually knew just how good it was to be rich, then maybe she would understand why he was the way he was. However, he did admire the fact that she demanded to pay for herself, refusing to let him pay. Whether that be because she was an independent person or if it was just because it was him offering to pay, he didn't know, but either way he found it admirable. He leaned across the bar and collected his own shot, downing it alongside her. He was impressed to see that she didn't even wince from the burning alcohol, she just absorbed it like a professional, just like himself. "I'm quite aware of that but I still need to keep you busy so that you sister doesn't feel worry for you and comes running back, leaving my friend. There enjoying themselves so let's let them have their fun. Trust me, i'm not here because I want to be, i'd rather socialize with a corn flake but you know, I try to be a good person."

Indie chuckled ''She knows I can handle myself Darcy, especially round the likes of you. And you know something? I have no idea why women flock to you because your an arrogant arse. But if you insist on staying then I'm going to need a bloody drink to get me through tonight.'' she said as she knocked back her other shot and then drank a large amount from her drink of choice, scotch and orange juice. She sighed, sitting back in her seat. She felt really uncomfortable, she knew he was juding every single thing she did and she didn't like that. She didn't like to be judged. She glanced around and folded her arms over her chest, she had no idea what to say to him. They were from two different worlds and were two completely different people. She glanced over at her sister and sighed, why couldn't a handsome man want to dance with her so she wouldn't be left with someone like Jacob Darcy. She glanced over at him and groaned in her head, why was he so handsome!? she didn't get it. He looked so, so good but he was such an aresehole. She didn't understand how anyone could act the way he did. It took away from his good looks and it was sad really.

Nate rolled his eyes ''I'm pathetic? Take a look at yourself before you talk to others, darling. And the stories you've heard are from people like you, the kind that won't stand a chance. You have to act a certain way to get rid of people you don't want around.'' he said as he sipped his drink. He smirked at her and nodded ''I really am going to waste my night annoying you. I have nothing better to do tonight, most of the people here tonight are your kind and no use to me so I might as well have some fun and entertain myself.'' he said with a smirk. He didn't know why he wanted to annoy her so much but he actually found himself wanting to annoy her. Her reactions were funny and he didn't find a lot of things funny.

Violet's anger was boiling up as she listened to the way he spoke about her and her supposed 'kind'. It was so like him to just act like an ass, judging her and everyone else in the room because they weren't rich like him. She shook her head in frustration and leaned across the table so that she was face to face with him. "Listen here you obnoxious, self centered prick. Stop acting like your something so amazing and talking about me and all of these people like were nothing. Your so caught up in yourself and your own little world to realize that me and all these other people aren't bad. We are just like everyone else. So stop judging us for not having as much money as you or being as high class. And to be quite honest to you, i'm glad i'm not anything like you because you disgust me. Everything about you repulses me, your a waste of space so leave me the hell alone." She downed the rest of her drink and pulled herself up from her seat, wobbling slightly at her quick movements as the drink seemed to go straight to her head. However, she didn't want to let her little speech be ruined by a drunken mistake so she quickly made her way off into the crowd before he had the chance to follow after her. She was still fuming, he made her so angry with the way he talked about her as if she were nothing. So what if she didn't have money? She still had everything else she needed to get by okay. She let out a quiet puff of anger just as she bumped straight into someone. A gasp fell from her lips as she went to apologize, "I am so sorry, I should have been watching where I-what the hell, I told you to leave me alone Nate."

Jacob could feel her eyes as they wondered over every inch of him and he could tell she was having some kind of inner battle with herself. He knew that he was incredibly handsome, no woman could resist him, and she was clearly having trouble keeping up this little 'I hate you' act when she found him incredibly attractive. He flashed her a charming smirk before leaning over to collect his drink from the bar, giving the barman a nod of appreciation before turning back to her. "The likes of me? What's that supposed to mean?" He questioned with a smirk, knowing exactly what she meant. "I think you know exactly why women flock to me darling, I can see you blushing from here while you look me over. It's quite funny really that your acting this way yet you find me so attractive. But don't get your hopes up, I don't sleep with the help." He chuckled quietly at his last comment, leaning back into his seat and taking a sip of his drink. He was actually beginning to have a rather nice time now, teasing and tormenting her proved to be something he enjoyed very much.

Indie looked up at him ''The likes of you? That means self centred rich twats who think they are better than everyone else because they have money.'' she said as she finished off her second drink. There wasn't going to be enough alcohol in the world to make her get through tonight happy. ''I can understand to some extent because for some odd reason you have been graced with incredibly good looks. But you're awful personality completely ruins it. If you didn't open your mouth it would be perfect but sadly you do. And when you do it makes me so angry because you are such a self centred, arrogant twat that thinks that because you have money you can treat people how you want. You're the kind of man that thinks it's ok to belittle me when I'm working these parties just because you have money, just because you come from a better family. People like you make me sick. You just assume that I have to work these parties but I don't. You know why I do? So I don't end up like you, living off of mummy and daddies money thinking I'm the god of the world. And don't ducking flatter yourself, Darcy. I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole. Now if you will excuse me I'm going to tell my sister I'm leaving. I can't stand to be in the same room as you any longer. You make me feel uncomfortable and I hate that. I hope to god that you're friend isn't anything like you because if he is then I feel incredibly sorry for my sister. Goodbye, Darcy.'' she said as she grabbed her bag and quickly walked away in search of her sister. She was going to tell her that she was feeling ill and then leave, letting her sister enjoy her night. She just couldn't stand another minute in the company of Jacob Darcy without punching him in the face.

Nate rolled his eyes as he listened to her. He had heard it all before. He didn't want to act the way he did but he had to, he had to be strong and confident and show no weaknesses in order to keep his business going. If he didn't the business would be ripped to shreds and then his family would have nothing. He acted this way to protect the people that he loved. But part of it was true, he did think that it was strange for upper class people to mix with the lower classes. Part of him felt guilty as he watched her walk away, he didn't want to make her feel that bad. He sighed and downed the rest of his drink before he walked after her. He positioned himself so she would bump into him. He looked down at her and sighed. The words sorry want to fall from his lips. ''I'm sorry.'' he said with a cough, hoping the cough would disguise the words that he had actually spoken.

Violet couldn't quite believe her ears when she heard Nate trying to cover up his thank you with a cough. She didn't even think that word existed in his vocabulary yet here he was saying he was sorry. It made her think for a moment and she decided not to shoot back at him with a nasty comment. Maybe he was coming round to her or what she'd said before had gotten through to him. Either way, she figured that playing nice might do them both some good. "It's okay, don't worry, I should have been looking where I was going." She explained to him with a small smile on her red stained lips. She took a moment then to really look him over and she found herself in awe. He was so incredibly handsome, it was unreal how this man could look so god like. Even the way he moved, it was so gracious, he just seemed to flow so perfectly but it was all ruined by whatever the hell went on inside his little pea sized brain. It was then that she realized she'd been staring at him for quite some time now and she quickly diverted her gaze back up to his eyes. "Is my company really that bad?...Am I honestly that boring or bad of a person to make you feel the way you do?" She asked him quietly. It had been bugging her for some time now why exactly he chose to dislike her when he didn't even know her. It wasn't right to just judge her and say she wasn't worthy of his time when he barely knew her. He assumed things about her and her family but he had no idea just what went on behind closed doors. If only he knew how independent and hard working she was, maybe he'd see then that they weren't as far off from each other as he thought.

Jacob lifted his drink, tapping it with her own as if to toast her words she just spoke. "You hit the nail right on the head darling, that's exactly what I'm like." He told her with a rather sarcastic tone playing on his voice as he took a sip from his glass of whiskey. However, the mood changed rather quickly, or rather, it changed for him because she seemed pissed off all the time. It was nothing new to his ears, people always told him this. Going on about how he treated them like dirt because they weren't rich. He knew that was what he did and he liked it that way. He liked the power of being above people and he didn't care how he got it. Whether that be with mummy and daddies money or by stepping on people to get higher in his business. He was a selfish man and he'd do whatever it took to get what he wanted. However, listening to her say all of these things seemed to affect him more than it had any other time. She meant every word that fell from her mouth and the fact that he knew it was true was probably what made him feel the way he did right now. Watching her get up and walk away made him want to run after her and apologize. But that wasn't him. That wasn't the Jacob Darcy that everyone knew so he wouldn't just change for one stupid girl. However, he had common sense and he wasn't about to let a woman walk home all alone when it was night time, plus his best friend would most likely kill him if he let her just leave alone.

quick idea, maybe some man tries to hurt Indie and Jacob stops them and then takes her to his place to clean her up because she's all bruised and bloody?

Indie bit her lip as she walked away, feeling like she was going to burst into tears any minute. She didn't know if it was the mix of alcohol and unease, or the fact that she was sick to death of being treated like dirt when she tried her best to be a good and decent person but it didn't even matter because she wasn't rich and she didn't come from a well known family. She put on a fake happy face and told her sister she was leaving. As soon as she had turned away from Jane, she headed for the staff exit, knowing no one would care if they saw her cry in there. As soon as she stepped out of the exit door and made her way down the metal stairs to the alley outside the hotel, tears began to pour down her cheeks. She felt like dirt. She felt like she didn't belong and she felt so, so stupid. She wished she had never even gone to the stupid party in the first place. She was walking down the  alley, towards the street when she heard a noise behind her. She stopped and turned around. She felt something cold press against her neck "Scream and I'll cut." A cold voice whispered. She froze in fear. There was a knife against her neck. The knife was gone and she let out a sigh of relief before she felt her body shoved forcefully against the wall. That's when the person began to hit, and hit and hit. She was in so much pain but she couldn't seem to call for help. She closed her eyes tightly, wondering if this was the end for her.

Alec shook his head "I'm not sorry for bumping into you, I'm sorry for the things that I said." He said honestly, meaning it. He was sick of feeling like a knob, especially to someone who had never done a thing wrong to him. He shook his head as he took a seat on a love seat, motioning for her to sit next to him. "Your company isn't bad at all. It's me who's bad company. I get so caught up in trying to act a certain way that I say things that I really don't mean. You're very good company and I am truly sorry for ruining your evening." He said genuinely as he looked down at her, biting his lip softly. SHe was so beautiful it was unreal. She looked so different to the other women in the room but in such a good way. "Will you allow me to buy you a drink, Violet?" He asked as he stood, and held a hand out to her.

Yes, fab idea <3

Violet wasn't expecting him to suddenly open up to her the way he did. It was such a quick change around from him acting like an asshole to her just moments ago and now here he was apologizing to her. As much as she knew she was right and that everything he was saying was true, she could be stuck up and throw it back in his face. Instead she gave him a small smile as she gently bit down on her rosy, red lips. "Well I didn't expect that, but...thank you, i guess, for coming out and saying that. I know it must be hard to admit but honestly, I think you'd be much better company if you just acted the way you are right now. See, I can actually stand talking to you." She teased with a smile on her face, moving across to sit beside him in the little love seat. It was pretty cozy and as she sat down beside him their bodies brushed against each others gently. "Well, I suppose one drink can't do much harm." She replied with a nod and slid her hand into his awaiting one gently. This was definitely turning around rather quickly. One moment she'd been storming off fuming with anger and now she was sat beside him, hand in hand as they talked. It actually felt good to be honest, talking with the real him wasn't all that bad. But it was beginning to make her fall under his charm rather quickly. He was just so devilishly handsome and now that he wasn't acting like an ass, the combination was perfect and quite hard to resist.

Jacob set his drink down on the side and made his way across the room, having spotted her leaving through the staff exit. He wasn't going to let her walk home alone, it was far to dark outside and there were to many people out there waiting to prey on innocent people like herself. He might treat people badly and act like a complete idiot but that didn't mean that he didn't have a heart. He sped up his pace as he tried to follow after her but she had a good head start and he had to guess a few turns before he finally got outside. That's when he heard it. Constant pounding and cracking in the distance. It sounded like a man, he could hear him panting and shouting things at someone. He really hoped that Indie hadn't exited this way and he'd just chosen the wrong route. However, he found that he was wrong as he made his way closer to the scene before him. He'd never felt so sick in his life. This man, no he wasn't even a man because no man would ever do this to a woman. This disgrace of a human being was mercilessly beating her black and blue. He could barely see that beautiful face with all the blood that covered it. His anger spiked instantly as he lunged forwards and tore the man away from her, slamming him against the wall with all of his force. That's when he began to mindlessly punch him repeatedly, taking ever ounce of his anger out on the guy's face until he too was beaten and bloody in a crumpled heap on the floor. "Indie?" He called out to her quietly as he moved away from the mans body, rushing over to her side quickly.

When the man was pulled away from her she didn't notice that Jacob was punching the man. She felt frozen in fear, she couldn't stop shaking and she realised that she was sobbing. Her body ached, it hurt more than she could ever imagine a body to hurt and she just didn't know what to do. She lowered herself to the floor and leaned against the wall, pulling her knees up to her chest as she stared ahead blankly. Her eyes widened when she felt someone next to her and she flinched, expecting to be hit. ''D.. darcy?'' she asked, her voice shaking as she cried. She couldn't stop. Her body was shaking and the tears kept falling down. ''I.. I know you hate me but p..pl.. please help me.'' she whispered as she closed her eyes, finding it too hard to keep them open. She tried to open them again but she couldn't. She was numb and in shock. She didn't know if this was real or just a really. really bad dream. She wanted it to be a dream. She wanted to be ok. She didn't want to be in so much pain. She was also scared to think about what was going to happen to her now, she was adamant that Jacob would just leave her there so it frightened her to think what would happen. Would she die? Would someone find her? These were the thoughts that consumed her mind as she slowly lost consciousness.

Alec nodded. ''It is but I do realise that I've treated you in such an awful manner so genuinely I am really sorry. Its hard when I have to act a certain way all the time that I forget to turn back into a normal person.'' he said as he led her to the bar. He ordered her the drink she had been drinking all evening and then got a drink for himself. Once they had gotten their drinks they sat chatting away and it was nice. He was actually smiling and enjoying himself. He didn't even notice that they were hand in hand he was that relaxed. ''So tell me more about you Violet, I don't actually know much about you apart from that your a Bennett.''

Jacob frowned when he saw the way she flinched away from him, it was as if she were scared that he too would hurt her in such a way. He knelt down beside her, keeping his distance so not to scare her as he reached one hand forward and gently placed it on top of her own. "Don't be scared Indie, i'm right here and I won't let anyone hurt you okay?" He assured her, slowly making his way a little closer to her as she seemed not to fear him as much now. "I'm going to help you, I promise, just hold on." With that being said he reached down and scooped her delicate little body into his strong arms. She was still shaking with fear and he couldn't stand seeing her this way. She was always so lively and strong but now, this man had torn her apart and beaten her down. Nothing about this was right, he might not have ever gotten along with her but he'd never leave her like this. He wouldn't leave any woman in such a situation. He rose back up onto his feet, keeping her close to his chest as he carried her off towards the back where his driver was supposed to be waiting. Within minutes he found his driver and set her in the back of his car, climbing in beside her as the car set off. "Tell me what hurts, do you think anything is broken? should we go to the hospital or would you rather I patch you up myself back home?" He asked her quietly, knowing that she might not even want him around her at this moment in time. He knew she hated him so he was probably the last person she wanted to see.

Violet couldn't believe that she was actually enjoying Alec's company. She never thought that they'd ever even talk longer than a minute let alone have a full blown conversation and actually get along. It was nice though and it changed her perspective on him quite a lot. Clearly he built up this fake persona, using it for business and it had just taken over because everyone could see he was a very work orientated man. But now that he was actually being himself, the real him, the actual decent person she never thought he could be. It was hard to make sense of it all but she was enjoying herself for once in the company of a man. "That's all people seem to know about me, the name give's it's own judgement i'm sure." She laughed quietly and took a sip of her drink, running the tip of her finger around the rim of it after she set it back down onto the little table. "Well, what exactly would you like to know? I never know how to answer that question when people ask because there's so much to tell...or rather not that much to tell because i'm sure i'm rather boring compared to you." She explained with a small smile, interjecting some lighthearted jokes into the conversation to lighten the mood.

Indie nodded her head weakly ''Ok.'' she whispered quietly, looking up at him. When he scooped her up into his arms she couldn't help but hold on to him tightly. She was scared to let go, it's like holding onto him was her security that no one was going to hurt her. She rested her head on his shoulder, her tears falling onto his expensive suit jacket. ''Thank you, Jacob.'' she said quietly. She was so glad that he was helping her, she was so sure that hwe was going to just leave her there and let her potentially die. She just hoped she was going to be ok, she hurt so much that she couldn't even tell where it hurt. ''H.. he even had a knife.'' she cried ''He held it against my neck.'' she sobbed, her body beginning to shake in his arms as the memories replayed in his mind. When she was in the car she leaned back in the seat and closed her eyes, hoping that if she could sleep the pain wouldn't be as bad and she would be able to relax. ''Everywhere hurts. My shoulders. my arms. my legs. my head my face my tummy. everywhere.'' she cried ''and please no hospitals!'' she said as she sat up quickly, letting out a yelp as she got a sharp pain run through her body. ''I hate hospitals. It will make me feel even worse. But please help me.'' she said quietly ''My family will go crazy if they see me like this.'' she said as she leaned back again and closed her eyes tightly. She didn't even care that it was Jacob who was helping her. She just hurt that much that she wanted help of someone, anyone. She just hoped that he wouldn't tell her parents what had happened right away because she knew her mother would be really dramatic and then make it about her like she always did. She didn't want to deal with that right now, she just wanted to relax.

Just got to do something real quick, reply to that please and then I'll post both in my next reply <3

Okay c:
-

Seeing Indie this way was like a smack in the face to Jacob. It brought him back down to earth, it was making him see things clearer than before. They weren't so different, especially not now. Her being in this state, seeing the way she cried in pain and pleaded for help. It reminded him of the person he used to be, years ago, back in school. He was that little nerdy kid who got beaten the shit out of daily, constantly, and not one person helped him. So now that he saw her like this, he couldn't just leave her there because he knew exactly how she felt. Alone, hurt, confused, broken. All of it, every ounce of pain was heightened because you didn't know if you were even going to live to see another day let alone another hour. "I know it hurts Indie, but you just need to relax for me okay? I promise you, no hospitals. I'll take you back to my house and i'll help you there. I won't mention a thing to your parents until you want to tell them. I promise, now try and close your eyes to relax." He told her, gently placing one of his hands over her own in a comforting way, wanting to let her know that she didn't have to fear him as the enemy. She needed to know that she could trust him with her life right now. Slowly, he turned his attention back to the car and started up the engine before taking one last glance at her. She was in a terrible state and he really didn't know how he was going to patch her up at his house when she looked like she seriously needed a hospital. "I'll do my best at home but you might need to go to the hospital okay? But i'll be right there with you, I promise."
