But until then like, we need to make a good go of this, we need to convince them that we are strong and dedicated to each other." The truth was he didn't really want to find the right person, he didn't care about finding his soul mate, that had never bothered him. He wanted an adventure, and a challenge.

Gabbie laughed quietly. "If younhadng already noticed, I got have any body hair, apart from my head and my eyebrows obviously. But otherwise.. yeah, angels don't tend to grow hairy, our skin is too fragile for that." It was one of the reasons she thrived for the summer, having nothing to keep her warm was quite tough, and it also meant having connors body near her kept her nice and warm too. "Well all the boxes are on the landing, they just need building and then if you could start clearing my shelves and things, that would be really handy." She began to take most of she clothes off the hangers and folding them up, but she knew most of them would go into storage, what she liked to wear wouldn't be seen as acceptable.

Connor was surprised by this hairless fact, it wasn't something he had known about angels, "damn.. our species really are polar opposites huh." he chuckled, shaking his jacket off of his shoulders and placing it onto her bed as he got ready to do his bit and help her get things packed. "Consider it done!" he said as he headed out into the corridor and began making up some boxes before returning to her room. He organised each box with different items, wanting to make it as easy as possible for her to unpack once she got to her new place. As he cleared her shelves he nosied at some of the books, all of them were so PG and appeared to have very little thrill.

She put more of her things away, leaving out some white jeans and some full length skirts as well as long sleeved shirts. "This is so boring, I want to keep my cute outfits, you won't fancy me when I look like a nun with only my ankles showing." She heard the keys in the front door rattle and her eyes widened. "Poop! You need to get out of here!" She ran over to her window and quickly flung it open.

I always thought you were absolutely stunning but any time I tried to make an excuse to talk to you something happened." He was about to respond until he heard the sound of the door opening downstairs, quickly pulling his jacket and grabbing his shoes in his hand, "text me," he whispered, pulling her in for a kiss before jumping silently out of the window.

Gabbie had never felt so panicked in her life, she ony prayed he would make it out in time before her mother was up the stairs to see how she had got on with packing. "I will, I love you!" She called before watching him run off. And as if by some miracle, as he disappeared out of sight from the window, her mother came bounding into her room. "Gabbiekins, let's see how you've been getting on shall we." But as she neared to her daughter, she paused, the stench over sold was stagnant in her room, and she narrowed her eyes. "He's. den here, hasn't he? Tainting your mind with his wild ideas again."

Connor hoped over the fence as fast as he could and hurried himself into his own house, his breathing fast paced. Had he gotten away undetected? Was her mother going to be able to sense him? He had no idea how keen an angels sense of species was but all he could do now was pray that they were okay.

Gabbie was petrified, she could still sense him but she had just presumed that was part of being a soulmate, but when her mother began to yell she knew she was in deep trouble. "He just wanted to say goodbye to me, and he helped me pack some of my heavier things. That all.." she was desperate not to make her mother angrier, though she became the shell of her usual self when she was there, and now that connor had gone, she felt even weaker, worse than she ever had.

karl was sat in his favourite armchair, having a snooze. Until his younger son came bounding through the doors and woke him up, which was all for good reason. He smiled as he slipped his glasses back on his face, rubbing his sleepy eyes. His sons sure did cause him a lot of grief, no wonder he was grey by the time he was 30. "Aaah Connor my boy, how was your afternoon run? I hear you and Dymitrius took care of the clearing too, you're such a good boy."

Connor jumped when he heard his dads voice, dropping his shoes when he did so. He turned around trying to paint a smile across his face, "Yeah it was really refreshing," he said with a laugh as he walked into the living room, looking around the room to try and avoid his fathers gaze, "Is Dymitrius not home?" he asked conversationally, trying to keep a distance from his dad hoping he wouldn't be able to tell straight away.

Karl watched as Connor got closer, and narrowed his eyes. Oh hell no. "Connor get here right now." His voice was stern and he meant business. "where have you really been? And don't bullshit me with your run because I know exactly what you've been doing. I just want to hear it from your lips, before I accuse you of it." He crossed his arms over his chest, his nsoenhad picked up the smell of the pure angel straight away. But the feeling he and deeper, in the pit of his stomach, he wanted to be so wrong. "No, your brother hasnt had such a good day."

Connor was busted, he knew he wouldn't have been able to get away with this for long. He moved himself back towards the living room, "I.. " he took a deep breath, "I was with Gabbie, the girl next door. After what happened yesterday, when I touched her before transforming, we realised we were soulmates." he was sounding more and more pathetic as he continued on, "and with her being made to go away.. I .. I decided to imprint on her."

He hasn't forced anything, it wasn't me okay, it's my fault." she shook her ends and sighed, tears in her eyes. She could also feel the trouble that Connor was in and it was tugging on her heart. "I made him imprint on me, so we can be together forever, like we're supposed to be."

karl was so not ready for this, another one of his sons were going off astray. "Did I do something wrong when you two were younger? Is it because your mother wasn't here when you were growing up? Because I thought I did a pretty good job but obviously not if you're going off imprinting on any girl you like the look of!" His voice got louder the more he spoke, the rage in his face obvious, he was almost bubbling at the mouth. "What did you think you were doing, imprinting on someone that's not even your own species?"

The words came tumbling out of Gabbie's mouth before she knew how to react, "HE DID WHAT" she yelled, her draw dropping, this was far too much, "You disgust me, you are no angel anymore." she said, eyeing her daughter and seeing her in a completely new light.

Connor took a step back from his father, he had heard him rage at Dymitrius but never at him, he had always tried his best to be the good brother but he had royally put himself in the shitter this time. "You didn't do anything wrong dad! You were the one that taught me about soul mates, and everything you spoke about is exactly what I've experienced with Gabbie. I know she isn't one of us but what does it matter? I have no interest in running a tribe, my goal has always been to support the tribes growth." he took a deep breath, his chest aching as he felt the trouble that Gabbie was in herself. "Father you haven't even spoken to her! She is incredible."

Gabbie and flipped a switch in her mother Snead that she really didn't want to mess with but it was too late, everything she and said was the truth, her and Connor were just meant to be and no one else could take that away from them. "Momma I mean it, I asked him to do it, and he didn't want to, but me no him need to stay connected if you're sending me away at the end of the week." She crossed her arms over her chest she coukdnfeel the tears forming in her eyes. "And I felt that good around him, I even made my wings appear."

Karl grabbed no Connor by the scruff of his shirt. "connor you are talking complete nonsense now, there is just no say that you can be complete soul mates with another species, you may lust after her but this isn't right. You've ruined her now, you've ruined yourself, too. You can never get higher in the tribe you understand that?" He let go of him, shaking his head. "I don't want to speaks to her, or her stuck up mother. She will never have any powers now when shd isn't around you, she won't be able to do anything. They'll deem her as useless."

Connor hadn't expected his father to grab him like this, backing up slightly, "No dad I know exactly what I'm talking about, just because you settled for an arrange marriage with mum and no nothing of the feeling of soulmates." he shoved his father off him, the muscles in his arms twitching slightly as he did so. "God forbid I can't rival my brother to be an alpha, oh how will I cope. I couldn't care less father, and if you knew anything about me you would respect that." his anger fell, his voice going silent as his father kept speaking, "what do you mean no powers? "

Karl snarled. "Don't ever bring your mother into this, this has nothing to do with me and her, thisnis anout nature, and what you are supposed to do. And this is exactly what you're not supposed to do. Connor. You've fucked up, son." He raised his eyebrows, string an angry laugh leave his mouth. "I thought you said you knew everything about soul mates? You've ripped her powers from her, Connor. Without you by her side she is basically a human now, she can't do anything unless you're there."
