Alexander followed Melanie with his eyes as he walked over with a plate of food to the new boy. Who in turned just stared about it before mumbling something about not wanting to die. The look of concern momentarily returned to Alexander's face as he looked at the newcomer. They all had been hurt by the scientist, both mentally and physically, but this boy seemed to have been dameged more then the rest of them, or the others where just better at hiding it. A small frown replaced the look of fake confidence that he had tried to hold up as he now placed the apple on the table in front of him, removed his legs from the table and instead rested his elbows against the flat surface. He threw a quick glance towards the one way mirror, he was sure that the people siting behind it was watching his every move, analyzing him, expecting him to do something. Alexander could feel some kind of warm resting up inside him, he had no idea if it was anger or maybe frustration over everything that had happend to him, but it disappeared just as fast as it had arrived.
Alexander caught a little glimpse of himself in the mirror, the bruises that cover his face, some dried blood that stained it and of course his hair that was a real mess. He also couldn't help but to notice how scrawny he looked, because of the lack of food and real nutrition, atleast he thought that it was the reason, he couldn't remember ever looking that thin. His eyes lingered just for a moment before he turned his eyes away from the almost scary image of himself and his gaze once again landed on the boy standing in front of him, right by the door. It was no wonder that he was scared of them, they all looked like shit and pretty scary for that matter since all the scars, bruises and blood didn't help them much. Adding to that was the fact that non of them had been able to trust anyone, ever. Not here anyway. Alexander couldn't blame any of them, especially not this boy that now had turned his eyes away from them, as if he belived that they all would leave them alone if he did. Another feeling rises insede of Alexander, one he was sure that he hadn't felt in a long time, a need to protect and make sure that this boy was alright, that everyone in this room was alright, even if he knew that non of them was, not even himself and that he really didn't belive that he could win the trust of these people, especially since he didn't even trust himself.
"Look" he said after a long moment of silence, in hope of getting the attention of the new boy, of everyone in the room. "We do not want to hurt you, and we do not want to kill you. We are not like the other people out there" be said, hoping to sound confident in what he was saying but also sounding soft and almost a bit caring in hope that he would understand the he was serious, as he mentioned the people outside he made a gesture towards the door and the one way mirror. "The food isn't poisoned, we all have eaten of it and we are all fine, as fine as we can be concidering the circumstances" he added after a short while, as he belive that this might be a thought that the boy had, hell he was sure that it was a thought that they all had had at some point.
As Alexander was done talking to the boy, atleast for the moment, he turned his ate ruin towards the other teens in the room, atleast he guessed that they all where teens since they all looked to be in his age and he himself was a teen, or atleast he thought so. His face had returned to his normal state of showing little to no emotions and he straightens up from the table a bit as he talked. "Well, I don't know about you guys. I can't say that I really trust any of you, but heck you are the only descent people I meet in a long time" he said, a small grin slowly appearing in his face as he spoke, "But we won't get anywhere with just staring the same thing over and over. The people here are shit and deserves to go to hell, that is something I think most of us can agree on. They put us in this room for a reason and I really don't feel for giving them the pleasure of achieving, whatever the hope this will lead to, so what about just taking the bull by the horns and try to figure out what the fuck it is that actually is going on" he finally said. He was sick and tired of playing someone else's game, the scientist clearly hoped to achieve something out of this, but if they played their cards right they could maybe use this mating for their own benefit somehow. They just needed to work together to figure out, as best as they cold, what was going on and what was happening to them before the scientist decided to pull then all apart again.
