Her mother trusted me to look after her all day most days for what coming close to a year? I think if they could say what happened to her now then they would agree to this. I just don't know how to tell her. We can't tell her what happened exactly, at least not until she's older, much older.'' she said as she rested her head on his shoulder. ''I love you so much.'' she whispered.

Michael face turned even colder as he looked at his daughter ''Getting over these things by crying like a baby isn't going to do you any good! He wasn't your mate, your a bloody human Cassie! HUMAN so I don't accept your relationship with him. You will find someone else, he was just your first love. Now come, we have work to do,'' he said as he grabbed her arm. ''You will not go near that pack Cassie!'' he yelled and locked the doors. He wasn't losing her to them just like he lost his wife. He also couldn't leave because he knew the plan would be ruined if the mut had spoken to his dad.

Michael glared at her ''HOW DARE YOU TELL ME TO LET YOUR MOTHERS DEATH GO! DO YOU NOT CARE! THEY KILLED HER! THEY KILLED MY WIFE AND YOU DON'T WANT THEM TO PAY? Your mother would be disappointed in you.'' he spat and let go of her ''If you walk out of that door then you don't step back in.'' he said angrily. He was just going to let her little mate wither away but now he was angry he was going to torture him now he didn't have Cassie to deal with. He took one last look at her and then walked away.

"Hey sweetie...do you mind if we have a little talk for a minute? It's very important." He sat down and gently lifted her onto his lap, keeping the blanket wrapped around her so she didn't get cold

Alex was sat behind his desk in the pack house, tugging at his hair as he tried to work out where that son of a bitch was keeping his son. He was so angry at Michael for what he was doing to his son and his mate. Mat told him about how he couldn't speak to Cassie and he knew he was somehow messing with their bond. It was awful to know that his son and his mate would be in so much pain because of not even being to speak to each other. He was working on plans to rescue his son. He knew if he didn't act soon his son would be dead.

Alex looked up when he heard the door open and he smiled a little when he noticed that it was Cassie. ''Cassie, what a surprise. I was expecting to see you. How are you?'' he asked, frowning when he heard he sniffling ''Are you ok?'' he asked as he looked back down at his plans and made the last few adjustments. His men would be out searching for Mat in a few hours and this would all be solved. They just hoped that he would still be alive by the time they get to him.

Cassie looked up at him in complete shock, her tears slowly stopping as she wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly. "He's really alive? I'm not going crazy?" She shut her eyes and held onto him. In the few days she had known Alex he had acted like more of a father to her than her own dad. "What's your plan? When are we going to get him. I have to see him, I have to be with him. What if he's badly hurt? Was he okay when you talked to him?" She was more than worried about Mat now due To her fathers new rage against her and her leaving. Maybe she had just made things a lot worse for him.

FrEddie sighed as he sat in his study with his Beta whilst they discussed their new plans. Due to the recent attacks they had to enforce a lot more rules. No ones was aloud out of the pack once it got dark, no one ever entered the woods and everyone had to travel in groups. He had got as many men as he could to guard the outskirts of their land to be sure of any intruders but everyday one less man came home. He didn't know what to do anymore, he needed to protect his pack and his beautiful mate and violet. He glanced over to the side at a little picture of the three of them and sighed. He missed spending time with them both, lately he rarely saw either of them. "Look, send out a message to the local packs and inform them of our situation, find out if any of them have been receiving attacks and we can work from there. If there's more of us working together then we can beat them. Now I'm going to go see Elin and Violet." He patted his best friend on the shoulder before leaving his study and walking off to find Elin

Elin sighed in frustration as she chucked her last pair of jeans on the floor. None of her jeans fitted her anymore because of her being pregnant, she was putting on weight pretty quickly. She grabbed one of Freddie's tshirts and decided to wear that with some work out shorts, it was comfy and easy. And it hid her small bump. She didn't know what to do. The pack was really on high alert because of the attack on Violets parents almost a year ago and the other attacks that had taken place. Freddie came home stressed every night and she didn't want to make things harder for him. She knew that he would be worrying like mad and wouldn't leave her side. She walked into Violet's room and woke her up from her nap. She gave her a smile and then scooped her up and went down stairs to just relax. They were officially her adoptive parents now.
