Dymitrius let Luna cling into him, this would be hard for her too considering she was his family as well now and she would have been caring for this little girl too. And she had done her best to try and save her, he knew that. He’d put so much blame on her and he needed to apologise for it, but he was a real stubborn bastard sometimes. He cleared his throat, tipping his head to the sky as his inner wolf released itself, his almighty howl winding out and leading the ashes up to the skies, showing his daughter the way she needed to follow. She would be safe now, Gabbie had spoken about what a magical place heaven was and he knew their little girl would be protected, wherever she ended up.  “Thank you for being here.. I don’t know what I’d do without you,” he whispered to Luna. Rubbing his eyes dry he lifted his head to the tribe. “You are all more than welcome back to my house. There will be drinks and such..” he told them before stepping aside, away from the group.

Gabbie had shivers running down her spine from how powerful was. This was such a sad moment and yet it felt so good too, to see how the tribe cared for one another, to know that someone would always have their backs it was good. If a funeral could go well, this was it. This was how it would go. Pulling back as he let out his howl, she gave his hand an extra tight squeeze before wiping her eyes clear of any tears, watching as Sasha fell to the ground it felt like Gabbies heart was joining her. “I’m just going to go check on her.” She whispered to him, kissing his cheek before shuffling over to her friend, Colton was holding her tight but she rested her hand on Sasha’s arm, rubbing it gently.

Luna had grown up near a werewolf tribe but she had steered clear of pretty much everything there was to do with them. Once upon a time she was determined to live a life werewolf free and now here she was in love with an Alpha of all people.. yet she had possible fucked up her entire relationship. Listening to Dymitrius howl made her entire body tingle, it was like she could feel it flowing through her own body and it was such a powerful moment. "I'll always be here for you," she whispered back, squeezing his hand again as she listened to him address the group at large before following him back towards their home which was about to become the home to a lot of werewolves while everyone paid their respects and drank until they felt numb which took a lot for werewolves. "I've never heard so many werewolves howling at once," she said as they moved away from the group, "it's so powerful.."

Connor nodded his head when Gabbie spoke, "I'm just going to catch up with my brother, I'll see you back at his house okay?" he jogged after Dymitrius and Luna as they made their way away from the large group. Patting his hand on his brothers shoulder to stop him he then gave him a proper hug, "sorry for your loss brother but she is in safe hands now." his eyes flickered to Luna momentarily, there was so much he wanted to say but now perhaps wasn't the best time.

Sasha felt like her entire world was crumbling around her all over again and without even lifting her head she could smell Gabbie approach her. The smell of pregnancy overpowering but she forced herself to push those feelings all the way down because right now she wanted her best friend and she just had to deal with the fact that Gabbie was living the life she should be. Lifting her head up to see her friend she tried to smile but it was only for a fleeting second. Taking her hand she got up to her feet and wrapped her arms around her, "it was beautiful.. wasn't it? there is something so powerful about a werewolf send off. I've been to so many human funerals and it just doesn't compare to this in the slightest."

Dymitrius began to head back to the house slowly. This was going to be his time to dwell on it and try and remember how excited he had been for her life, and try not to concentrate on the horrid and tragic end. “It truly is a magical feeling.” He had to admit it. He had only ever been to three funerals but each time he was amazed at the power of a tribe. Pausing when he felt a hand he paused, being pulled into his brothers arms he hugged him as tight as he could, nodding slowly. “She is in a good place, that I am sure. I just wish it could have been on earth with us. Still, I know she will be reunited with her mother one day.” He nodded. He knew for a fact he would be descending to hell when he died but Sasha, she would be up with the angels. He unlocked the front door but left it open so that anyone could come and go as they please.

Gabbie hated that she was probably the last person that Sasha wanted to see, the hurt in her eyes was obvious and if there was a way she could have masked her pregnancy or just.. well, not had it then, maybe delayed it or something, she would have. But that wasn’t how it worked and she cherished the fact her body had been blessed. “It was lovely. She is in a good place now, I just know it.” She assured her, letting her go so that Colton could cuddle her instead, which would be a much more soothing hug. “This is my first time.. it was so.. surreal. It was hard to watch but I think.. I think it was the most beautiful thing your little girl could have ever had.” she promised her best friend.

Luna's eyes met with Connor's and she could read his emotions like an open book, he definitely wasn't impressed with her right now but what could she even say? There was far too much to explain and now certainly wasn't the time. Hearing Dymitrius speak about Sasha going to heaven but not himself made her heart ache, if anyone deserved the kingdom of heaven it was D. He had been her rock for the last year and she had never met a man filled with so much love. Once they arrived home she headed straight to the backdoor and opened it up, using her magic to manifest a lot more tables and chairs to accommodate the large gathering that was following. Thankfully their back garden also stretched off towards the forest so they had plenty of land to use. Closing her eyes again she focused her hand towards one of the tables and food and drink appeared. She had found that having her eyes closed stopped her from the temptation of using the darker magic which was one way of dealing with her issue. "you two want a drink?" she asked and both brothers nodded so she poured them both some whiskey on the rocks and then a vodka and coke for herself.

Connor wanted to hold his brother in his arms for as long as possible, it took him back to when they were kids and Connor had broken his leg. His brother never left his side and though Dymitrius had teased him to know end when it was just the two of them D stuck up for him whenever anyone tried to bully him for the injury. "You might get up there in the end D, you've got a lot of time to repent all of those sins." Heading into the house he took off his suit jacket and tossed it over the arm of the sofa but stopped his brother before he went out back with Luna, "is everything alright with you two?" he asked in a low voice, nodding when she popped her head round to ask them about a drink.

It was relieving hearing an angel say that she believed Sasha's baby girl was in a good place. There was something that made her feel content knowing that indeed she would be up in heaven, not that there was any reason for her not to be. "She deserved everything and more," she admitted and the three of them began walking, Colton hanging back a bit but being very protective. In a lower voice she spoke to Gabbie, "Colton has been a life saver through this.. he's been staying in my living room, on guard duty so that I can get to sleep at night but it doesn't stop the nightmares." she admitted.

Dymitrius has never been so glad to have a brother like Connor.. sometimes they didn’t see eye to eye and that was okay, because they would always have each other’s backs when they needed it. “Thing is brother, I don’t think I want to repent for my sins cos that would make me really fucking boring.” He had to laugh, it didn’t seem like the right day to be laughing but what he said was just a little bit funny. He let Luna lead into the house and he watched as she so effortlessly made everything appear and it warmed his heart, knowing that she wasn’t using the darkness, and he knew it because he couldn’t feel it either. A lot of the wolves congregated outside and lingered around the tables, grabbing food and drinks and general chit chat happening. He turned to Connor and shrugged. “She.. has been going through a tough time recently.. mentally.. emotionally.. I think this as just as tough for her as it was for me.” He admitted.

Gabbie turned her head over shoulder, even now, Colton was in guard and was looking around them, watching out for any danger or enemies. “It’s so sweet that he cares so much about you, Sasha. You deserve a man like him in your life. I’m glad you have him. He is a good man, I know it.” She squeezed her friends hand, leading her into the house. “You just tell me if you get uncomfortable and we will leave, Connor will understand. You are my priority today.” She told her, cupping her face in her hands and kissing her cheek, before letting her go and heading out into the garden where all the drinks were lined up. A vodka and coke would have gone down a treat, but that was off the menu for the next few months.

Connor laughed with his brother, there was something refreshing about the laughter after how somber the mood was. That was the power of funerals, it allowed to people to let out their grief and begin to mend with the people they care about surrounding them. "You'd be an old man by the time you've covered for about half your sins brother." he shook his head as he picked up his drink and watched as members of the tribe gathered and he noted that Gabbie and Sasha had made it safe. He was so protective of her now and letting her out of his sights for a few minutes was difficult. "Thats fair.. but you also didn't answer my question," he noted as he raised his eyebrow at him slightly but wasn't going to push, "thanks for trusting me to step in as Alpha but it's made me realise that this position isn't for me."

Luna was stood chatting to Roman and another few werewolves that were part of the inner circle, they had spent a fair amount of time around each other so she felt comfortable around them. Though her attention kept getting drawn back over to Dymitrius, it was like she was seeing him for the first time all over again and she was shamefully admiring his unbelievable face structure and the size of his arms. The way he ran his fingers through his hair.. pull yourself together she said to herself. Roman pipped up about Thomas and she looked at him, "he abandoned the tribe?" she asked, acting dumb as if she hadn't practically sent him packing. A small laugh left her lips when Romano asked if she was taking over as Elder, "D hasn't mentioned it but he knows I care deeply about this tribe."

Sasha couldn't express how grateful she was for Colton though she couldn't help but compare him to Dymitrius every damn chance she got and it was mentally exhausting. "He is undoubtedly loyal which is exactly what I need after all I've gone through," she stated. As they walked through the house her eyes lingered on the photo of D and Luna from Gabbie's wedding and quickly looked away. D had pushed for the gathering to be at his house because it was safer than at hers but it also meant she felt uncomfortable. "No.. no I'm sorry if I'm giving you that impression Gabs, it's just .. fuck I don't know how to explain it to you but a wolfs senses are far too strong." she poured herself a large double gin and lemonade and found a seat for the two of them. "how are things with you and that angel that was giving you hassle?"

Dymitrius was trying to avoid the question, simply because he didn’t know the answer right now. We’re him and Luna okay? They hadn’t had time to discuss much at all this morning and this definitely wasn’t the place for them to begin airing the dirty lap dry between them but to him, it looked like her trip to hell had actually worked and that’s all he cared about. His little one was his whole life and he really didn’t know what he’d do without her. “You’re right. So I think I’ll just carry on sinning and hopefully gabbie’s dad won’t torture me too much when I get down there, you’ll put in a good word for me won’t you?” He nudged him with his shoulders watching as they all began chatting and he nodded his head. “Let’s mingle.” He had to keep a strong front on. “And don’t worry, brother, I won’t make you be alpha any time soon. Though I’m sure Gabbie enjoyed it?” He joked, keeping the mood light. The whiskey was going down far too easily and he was finding himself topping up his glass very often.

Gabbie shrugged again. “I know.. I don’t totally get it and I don’t think I ever will.” She sadly admitted. She really wished she unstop wolf culture better than she did but she had spent years of being brainwashed, being told what cruel and evil creatures they were, it was hard for her to suck everything that was good back in. Deciding on just an orange juice she went and sat with her, letting Colton go off to hang with the rest of the tribe, you would have thought it was a party with the drink and the food that was going round but she was just so glad to see that the small life was being celebrated so well. “Oh well, that is a very complicated story. She came back.. again. I dragged her to hell though, scared her a little. And then my brother showed up. He tried to get rid of my baby.” She frowned.

Connor took a sip of his drink as he watched everyone around them, it was an impressive turn out but that wasn't too surprising. The tribe would always come together for their alpha regardless of what the cause was. It was just how werewolves were, they lived and breathed the pack life and Alpha was top of the chain. "Man I can try my best but don't hold your breath on that one. I wouldn't be shocked if I get dragged down there by him and shown a life of misery for defiling his daughter." It was nice hearing his brother laughing again, it had been so long since he had been this laid back and he could visibly see his shoulders loosen slightly. "oh she loved it, I've never seen her so keen to be present at meetings," it was also rare for her to see him in a leadership role at all because he usually opted for the sidelines even when Dymitrius was there. The pair joined some of the other members and were laughing and drinking away.

Luna continued making light conversation but she kept looking back at Dymitrius and she wasn't sure if he was avoiding her on purpose or if this was just how these sorts of events went. Witches rarely had a grand gesture when it came to death, they believed in returning the bodies back to the earth in order to allow their spirits to be freed. Nothing complex and no need for fuss. As D went back to the bar for what felt like the hundredth time she excused herself and went over to him, "maybe you should pace yourself mister." her tone was light and playfully but there was a tone of seriousness underlying.

Sasha was glad the conversation was away from her and her dead child because in all honesty, she was tired of being the sob story because it just made what happened even more real for her. "you took her to hell? what a power move Gabs!" she exclaimed, downing her drink and getting herself another one before they continued on with their conversation. "Do you think you could take me down there sometime? Just to scope out what it's actually like. It's kind of funny because when I was younger I use to be really into religion, my parents poured their hearts and souls into the bible but when I hit my teens I decided it was all a bunch of bullshit." she laughed, "now look at me. my best friends a freaking angel with some sort of devil in her. you couldn't make this shit up if you tried."

Dymitrius felt like the drink was giving him some sort of relief. It loosened him up and it made dealing with this whole scenario a whole lot easier. In fact he was drinking to forget and he wasn’t going to stop until he was at the point where he could barely speak, which would take a lot for a werewolf anyway, but for a man his size? It would take a lot more. But he was getting there. “I’ll get us another..” he slurred as he picked up his brothers glass too and he stumbled over to the makeshift bar area that had been set up, grabbing the bottle of scotch, turning his head when he felt Luna’s hand and he shook his head. “I think a lot of things but I don’t go round telling you what to do, do I? My daughter just got cremated, love, so if you don’t mind, I’d like to remember her and commemorate her,” he shook his head, pushing past her and back to the group.

Gabbie couldn’t he,o the proud smile she had when she spoke about what she had done, it was probably the first time she’d really stood up for herself and took matters into her own hands instead of letting other people fight her battles for her. “Well I wanted to tell my dad the good news anyway and he seemed to enjoy the presence of a pure angel. And plus.. Christian was acting crazy, I don’t think she will be bothering me and Connor for a long time. Might name the baby after her though,” she joked, patting her stomach. But then she realised how insensitive that was and she bit her bottom lip, reaching out to grab her friends hand. “Sasha I’m sorry.. I’m not even thinking at the minute.” She frowned. “Life really does live throwing a curveball, I think it’s all part of a mighty plan.”

Luna flinched at the tone he had taken with her, this was the first time she had ever seen Dymitrius anywhere near drunk but she hadn't expected him to be rude towards her. "I know she did D.." but before she could even continue he had pushed past her and because he was a lot stronger than she was it caused her to stumble to the side a bit which pissed her off. Quickly closing her eyes she stopped herself from lashing out with the dark magic which she knew could potentially spill out at any given moment. Opening her eyes again she watched as he threw back the bottle of scotch like it was water and it was clear she was going to be in for a tough night. Pouring herself another vodka and coke she moved over to a seat beside Seth and his wife and made pleasant conversation with them but her eyes kept flickering over to her companion.

Connor was trying to keep up with his brothers pace but he was throwing the drinks back like there was no tomorrow which was fine to an extent but even werewolves got drunk after a few bottles. "Alright mate," he said as he watched D head over to the makeshift bar and he watched and heard the awkward interaction between the two of them and simply raised his eyebrow. Roman who was standing with them had picked up on it as well, perks of incredible hearing, "trouble in paradise Alpha? you realise there are plenty of bitches on standby if you need to get some release."

Sasha had been intently listening to the conversation, genuinely interested in hearing about what had been going on down in hell but the moment she mentioned the baby that sick feeling returned. It was like her world suddenly froze around her. "There's no need to be sorry.. you have every right to talk about your .. your.." but she couldn't say the words and instead just stirred her drink as she forced back the tears that threatened to come pouring out. "if the mighty plan is to see how much of a beating I can take well its working." she said quietly before standing up and getting herself another drink as well as a small plate of food before returning to the table. "you'll need to come round and see the new place now that we've settled in. Shaun loves his play room," she was trying to make any conversation she could muster.

Dymitirus wasn’t in the mood to be messed about. All of his thoughts were clouding in his chest and his heart felt tight in all the wrong ways. This was just going to be his way of coping for now, he was going to drink his sorrows away until his brain was fuzzy and he was passed out. Because he didn’t know how else he was going to sleep at night. He took the bottle of whiskey from the table, going and plonking himself back down next to his brother he took another swig before he handed the bottle over, smirking just a touch at what roman said to him. “I think that’s the wrong thing to suggest right now my friend.. I might hate her guys right now but I would never betray her like that.” His words were slurred as he spoke.

Gabbie felt like the worst friend in the world. Here she was, blabbing on about her own baby and stuff while her friend was going through the worst time in the world. “I’m not talking about it any more and that is a fact.” She announced, finishing off her orange juice and relaxing back into the seat, she was softly holding onto sasha’s hand, mainly for the warmth but also as a comfort for her. “Well I think you’re doing fucking marvellous. Life is throwing you some real daggers but my bitch is still standing. But don’t tell Connor I said that.. he hates it when I swear.” She smiled and watched her friend go off, before swiftly returning. “Did he like the painting on the wall?”

Roman let out a low chuckle at his Alphas reaction, "hey it was just a suggestion. Normally you can't keep your damn paws off of her," he noted and it was true. Every tribe meeting that she attended he kept her close in a very dominant way to reinforce to everyone that she was his Luna, which was rather comical given that it was also her name.

Connor took the bottle from his brother and took a big old swig from the bottle himself before passing it back to him. "so you hate her guts right now?" he said with a slight raise of the eyebrow. He had tried not to poke his brother too much but if he was going to offer up answers he was all ears. But the group fell quiet when Luna approached and for the first time since he had known her she looked rather anxious.

Luna had been chatting away to Seth but he got pulled away by some other members and she was alone once more. Deciding to pull herself together and sit with her boyfriend she got up from her seat and headed over to the group of werewolves. For an outsider they were a rather intimidating group of guys considering the size of them all and when you knew what they were it was even worse, "Don't stop talking on my account," she said as she pulled a chair over so she could sit next to Dymitrius, pulling her legs up so she was sitting cross legged. Putting her hand out she went to hold his but he shifted it away to take the bottle and she sighed slightly.

Sasha was glad that her friend was going to try not to talk about the child growing in her belly.. they should have been going through this together. They could have had a joint baby shower and their kids would have grown up together. Those thoughts made her a few tears tumble down her cheeks but she quickly wiped them away with her free hand. "wait really?! the werewolf hates the swearing.. well I would have expected it to be the other way around," she laughed, forcing a smile back onto her lips as she looked over at where Connor was sitting. "He loved it!" she announced before nodding her head over towards the boys, "looks like Connor is going to be on brother duties if D doesn't slow down. Least this is his house so just needs a kick up the arse to get him inside and jobs done."

Dymitrius didn’t realised he’d opened his mouth but it was too late and now his brother was asking him kore about it. “She .. she lost co took of her PowerSchool a load of dark magic got stuck in her and she had to fucking go down to hell. She tells me to trust her but I know she fucking loves him still..” his voice falling to a mutter when she came and sat down and his eyes just drank her in for a moment. Was she pissed off at him? What reason did she have for being annoyed? It’s not like he’d abandoned her to go off for his ex girlfriend. “No it’s fine we weren’t talking about anything important.” He took his hand away from her and grabbed the whiskey instead, standing up from the chair he emptied the contents, stumbling away as he went to find another bottle.

Gabbie giggled softly. “He swears like a sailor but apparently coming from my innocent angel mouth isn’t good, he has told me off for it god knows how many times.” She shook her head, following her eyeline she watched the boys and audibly gulped. Uh oh, that didn’t look to good. And if wasn’t tension between the brothers this time, it was the alpha and his companion. That wasn’t going to look good to the tribe. “Hopefully whatever he’s got going on.. he keeps it to himself until everyone has gone home. This isn’t the place to start shit.” She sighed as she watched him get up and stumble off. “I’ve never seen him like this.. was he ever like this when he was with you?” She asked.

Connor didn't have a chance to ask who exactly Luna still loved or why Hell would help with her magic when she came over and he gave her an awkward smile before busying himself with his drink. Watching the tense interaction between the two had him shifting in his seat and it was evident to the others that something was definitely going on. Looking at his brother as he made his way to the booze he sighed, "maybe you should talk to him Luna.." he suggested.

Luna wanted the ground to open up and pull her deep into its depths so that she wasn't experiencing how uncomfortable this was. Dymitrius had gotten up not even minutes after she had tried to join him and it was clear he had drank enough for it to finally affect his system. Closing her eyes momentarily she forced herself to remain calm and not get upset because that would most certainly trigger a loss in control. Opening them again she looked at Connor and nodded, "if you'll all excuse me." she said before getting up and going after D as he entered their kitchen trying to find more alcohol. "Dymitrius are you avoiding me?" she asked as she stood at the doorway of their kitchen, her eyes following him as he stood upright and his eyes were very dark. Did werewolves get violent when drunk? She hoped not because the last thing they needed was a domestic with an audience.

Sasha snorted, "what a hypocrite! you should get him a swear jar to hold him accountable for his filthy mouth." the laughs between them faded as they watched where Connor and D were. Any female in the tribe watching this definitely picked up on the tension and were sure to pounce at the chance to get with an Alpha, even if he had imprinted. Her ears perked up, picking up everything that was coming from the group, perks of werewolf hearing, "sounds like she's still got feelings for someone or something." she shrugged her shoulders and pulled her gaze away as Dymitrius started to stumble off, not wanting to stare too much at him because it made her heart ache a bit more. "Only once, near the start. I knew he was still in love with her and he had been drinking to forget her but I just left him to it. I'm not crazy enough to get near a drunk werewolf."

Dymitrius grasped into the kitchen counter for a moment, his whole head was spinning and he was seeing double of everything. Maybe just a couple more bottles and he would pass out drunk so he wouldn’t have to think or feel anything for a little while. That’s all he really wanted. The night tremors, the fear, the shaking and the sweats, days upon days of restless nights were catching up with him and not having his companion had made it twice as hard. His head darted round, his eyes catching onto her and he frowned. “What, just like you’ve fucking avoided me for weeks? Ever since lucifer walked back into your life.. something has changed in you, Luna.” He shook his head, searching the cupboard for another bottle of scotch.

Gabbie hated that all these wolves had an advantage on her, they could all hear was going on and they could sense the tension and she was really starting to feel left out. Which was selfish, but she just wished she could feel what they felt. They always said how magical it was being an angel but right now, she felt pretty pathetic. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen Connor drunk. We’ve drank.. and I’ve been drunk. But that isn’t a shock, it doesn’t take a lot for me to get to that state. And now seeing D like this.. I’m glad he hasn’t been like that.” She shook her head, running her fingers through her pony tail. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea having everyone around. “Do you reckon we should start clearing the place? I think Luna and D need their space.”
