Adam smiled when he saw her, wrapping his arms loosely around her waist. "you are going to be amazing today. so do not be nervous" he said before placing a kiss on her forehead and letting go of her. Moving over to the coffee she got him. Sipping it, "mm you are a star. That's delicious." he smiled, watching as people began to come in so he couldnt hold her any longer. "Stuart that t shirt isn't appropriate. Go and get changed"

evangeline leaned in to him for a little while, taking in his warmth, and the scent of his aftershave, it smelt expensive and luxury, and she enjoyed it a hell of a lot. she looked up at him and shrugged. "I just really don't like crowds, and james is gonna be here too, hopefully." she bit her lip, very quickly moving away from him when others came in. she giggled, seeing the boy in a 'comme des fuckdown' shirt.

He checked his watch, "time to head backstage everyone. People will be arriving soon"

evangeline giggled a little more, putting a hand over her mouth. how silly could people be. she stood up and smiled at him, heading backstage where they were all to sit until it was their turn to come on. nerves were kicking in now and she wasn't sure whether she wanted to burst into tears or vomit. she closed her eyes, putting her head in her hands. was it too late to back out now?

Adam was getting everyone organised, fixing someone's violin and telling others to calm down. He made sure the curtain was down as people started to file in. He looked at everyone sitting waiting and made sure everyone know what they were doing. And that they were dressed correctly As they were representing the school. Once everything was in check he took the final chair beside Evangeline since they were last. "Don't be nervous" he whispered.

I can't.. not ready.. no.." she ran a hand through her hair and quickly got up from her seat, but then she heard the shushing and the silence, as the first person went into the stage. too late to escape. "shit.." she mumbled, shaking her head. situations like these were the worst. she felt as if she couldn't breathe, an elephant sat on her chest.

Adam slipped his hand into hers and pulled her gently down onto the seat again. He whispered to her, "I'm here okay. Just pretend it is you and me. you don't have to look at the audience. They don't even need to exist." he let go of her hand but made it so his fingers kept brushing against hers to try and comfort her.

Adam nodded his head, repeating the worlds "just me and you" a few more times. Watching as people walked out onto the stage and made their performance. They were now about half way through and he had found his hand wiggling into hers between the seats where no one could see them.

evangeline smiled, just a small smile, when she heard him say it a couple of times. just hearing him, knowing that he was there, it was making things a little easier to cope with. and now they were holding hands, too. and she had no cares n the world for now. she laced their fingers together, crossing her legs at her ankles, she looked around at everyone, before up at him.

"Ready?" He whispered. Rising to his feet with her. He was slightly nervous but kept the nerves down so it didn't make her panic more. He needed her to stay relaxed. "Just you and me remember. "

evangeline gave her a big smile, feeling more positive about this. she was just so glad she didn't have to go on the stage alone, and she just hoped james would be there to woo her on, too. that would be the icing on the cake. she stood up and pulled her dressed down a little, letting go of his hand immediately so no one saw. "just you and me." she nodded once, grabbing a hold of the guitar before walking on with him.

Adam was glad to see the amount of confidence in her, he let her go out first. Following closely behind her as he sat himself down at the piano. Positioned at an angle on the stage. He sorted his sheets of music out before looking over at Evangeline and nodding his head to signal that they were going to begin. He allowed his fingers to glide over the keys. Feeling they voices join in a perfect harmony.

James was sat in the middle row, he had been getting bored of the other performances but decided to stick it out until she came on. He watched her walk out with her music teacher but when they started he realised she wasn't as crap as he had imagined she was.

evangeline sat so that she was facing the piano, but the audience could still see her. it made things a little easier for her but she still looked pretty confident. she cleared her throat and played along with him, her hands shaking slightly as she glanced up, her eyes landing on james for a moment, butterflies travelling through the entirety of her body, before looking back at adam, grinning. their performance was perfect.
