Cascada stood up and she came from under the car, rubbing the sweat on her forehead away with her handkerchief. She grinned, proud at how well she fixed the car. Her uncle owned a garage and she had been working there since she was 10. She could practically fix a car with her eyes closed and was happy with the amount she was getting paid. As she headed back inside her house, she quickly took a shower and put on a fresh t-shirt and shorts, sandals and her hair in a ponytail. Nobody was at home at the moment so she walked to school, wondering what today would bring.

River was playing dolls with his little sister: she woke him up early because she had a "nightmare". He knew she was lying and only wanted to play but he had to hand it to her, the 6 year old can act. He and his sister, Tessa, were making a perfect family in her little pink doll's house. The family had a father, a mother, a son and a daughter. Tessa joked that that was them and River could only smile, kissing her head. He knew it would never be them.
"I need to go to school now, princess." River said, hugging her. She looked upset but knew she was used to it by now. He waved goodbye and got into his car, feeling a whole lot of pressure on his shoulder.
There was never a moment where he could relax. Ever.

Bailey sighed a little bit as she walked. Sometimes she wished that her parents had time for her, they were always working and she had to grow up too quickly. She was forced to grow up too quickly, her parents started working almost non stop by the time she was thirteen, they barely ever even remembered her birthday, they used to visit her for it, but they stopped when she was fifteen. She eventually got near the school and sighed a bit, walking towards it.

Chase turned the radio on, the cheesy breakfast show was still on, he frowned a bit, changing it to a certain that he had put in his car a while ago. He opened a window and continued driving at a slow speed because there was some person in front of him driving like a snail, his frown soon returned, hoping that they would sense his annoyance and drive faster. Eventually he got too overtake them.

Cascada held her bag tightly and kicked stones as she walked to school, looking up at the sky and watched the clouds formung different shapes. She remembered she used to do this as a kid, with her older sister. The two of them were so close and she was  really the only person she could confide in. Nobody else understood what it was like to feel pain everyday, from the moment the day began and exactly when the day ended. She felt like she was different, the odd one out: she felt like she wasn't pretty or skinny enough. But now her sister was gone and she wasn't sure if she'd ever come back.
As she came near to the school gate, she saw a girl that looked familiar to her. She was probably in one of her classes but she couldn't rememeber which. She ran up to her and smiled. "Hi."

River drove to school in his car and wondered how everyone was doing. Tessa was 6 and she would have school today but she felt "too scared" after her nightmare, but he gave in, knowing she'd cry if he made her go to school. He had an older brother, and sister, who were both in college and would come home for Christmas and a younger brother, older than Tessa, named Noah.  He was in school too and he stayed over at a friend's the night before. He had quite a big family and being the middle child he made sure everyone was okay. Someone had to do it and he loved helping people out so he didn't mind. He remembered to visit a friend later that day in the old people's home. He worked there for a week as a school project and made some friends there. Everyone was sweet to him and there was ine special person he visited every week for. He smiled as he thought of her.
Parking his car in the school's parking lot, he jumped out and grabbed his bag, sitting on top of his car as he watched people pass by. Nobody really took in River. 
They just thought he was another nobody.

As he passed a few people, the usual cliques forming their huddles as they walked in, he saw two girls talking and some guy smoking. He watched as the one of the girls, the one with londe-blue hair, told the guy to slow down and looked at the boy for a reaction. He decided to talk to them as he had nothing better to do.
"Hey." He said casually and leaned against the wall. He ran his hand through his hair and looked at the three of them, taking in all their features. They all sure did look out of place together.
