Knox smiled at her. ''It's nice to see so happy.'' He said, and he meant every word that he said; he knew that for a while, after their break up, he'd see Ashleighn look really upset, in a daze, though she had Jaxon around. He would always sigh, wanting to go up to her and wrap his arms around her but he knew he couldn't. Because exes didn't do that. But they were friends, always. He held her chin and looked into her eyes for a few seconds, then leaned back. He could see all her emotions pulsing through her when he did that. Knox could read people like a book. He was an observer. He nodded his head at her slowly trying to look as happy as he could be. But it was hard to be happy when the person you loved the most liked someone else. At least I can see her everyday and actually talk to her for a few seconds, he thought, remembering past events, how Jaxon was always around the corner. But now the guy seemed to be so busy for some reason. He thought back to Jax and the new girl.
Could he?
No...
Possibly.
Knox was mixed up in his thoughts again but then felt himself come back to reality, grinning sheepishly at their hands. ''It's a date.'' He said laughing, sighing mentally in his head, knowing it wouldn't actually be one. He could at least pretend.
Jaxon bit his gum and stood their awkwardly; he didn't deal with sob stories. He was bad with feelings. He had everything so easy that feelings were one thing he didn't have to deal with usually, unless they were happy feelings. He sighed, not knowing what to do, but smiled at her, moving her hair away from her face and spoke gently to her. ''It's okay...I'm sorry...I know what it's like to lose someone, though. My uncle...'' He pretended to look upset and then shook his head, smiling ruefully. ''He passed away last Summer. We were really close...'' He sighed but secretly it was all lies; Jaxon didn't have an uncle who passed away last Summer. In fact, most of his family was still alive and in good shape, except for his grandfather, who had passed away before Jax was born. However, when one of his targets showed any sad type of emotion, he lied so he could relate to them, show them that he understood, even though her really didn't. Rubbing her back soothingly, he laughed as she laughed, thinking it was cute. ''Cool, I'll pick you up. Where do you live?'' He asked curuiously. Jaxon lived in the more wealthier places of the city, with massive white mansions and everything modern and clean. The otherside was not as rich but was pretty decent. He wondered where Darcy fell but she looked like she fell in the middle. But really, she looked like a million dollars. ''What happens if the handsome guy is already looking at the gorgeous girl?'' He said, holding her chin, feeling their skin brush against each other. He actually felt something go through him, which was weird, as he only felt something when he was kissing a girl or in bed with them. This was completely new to him. ''Come.'' He said with a wink, taking hold of her hand and walking into his homeroom. Ashleighn was in his homeroom but she seemed to be somewhere else. Probably with Knox, he thought to himself, and remembered to keep an eye on him; the two of them seemed to get closer nowadays and it was getitng out of hand. If he wanted her so badly, then he should've put up a fight. Luckily, Clea wasn't in his homeroom, so he sat down next to Darcy, winking at some of his friends, signalling them that was his new target. Grabbing out his phone, he texted all of them about her, tilting his phone so Darcy wouldn't see.
''Darcy, English, The new girl. New target.'' As he looked up, he saw his friends reading the text and nodding at her in approval.
Clea blushed at Rolan; he was such a geuine guy and he always liked to flirt or say things that would make you so happy inside. She chewed the end of her pencil and giggled. ''The student's only as good as her tutor.'' She said teasingly, hitting his arm playfully with a wink. She let her curls fall in front of her face, focusing on the next question. Surprisingly, she found it easy, but with Rolan's help things actually seemed to make sense. Sometimes she joked to him that he should be a teacher when he grewup but he only laughed at it. But he was really clever, which surprised her a lot. As she looked up, she noticed his smile dip a little: his smile always reached his eyes and she knew now for sure that something was wrong. She noticed his nod too and knew he didn't want her to push her, so she gave him a sympathetic smile and patted his back. Of course, she thought to herself, I'm just not the person to discuss your problems with... Sighing, Clea carried on with the next equation and hid behind her hair, thinking so little of herself. It was one of the risks you had to take when you became popular; feeling insecure all the time. Which was ironic, since people should flirt with you or say how much they wanted to be you. But with Clea, it was a different story completely. As she heard Rolan again, who sounded a lot more happier, she giggled and shook her head slightly. ''You seriously need to get a girlfriend.'' She said with a smirk. But it honestly wouldn't be hard for Rolan; he was funny, good-looking and amazing. He just needed to stop acting like a creep sometimes. When he leaned back, she stuck out her tongue. ''Better be! Me and the girls worked so hard on the routine! Need someone to appreciate it.'' She said with a smile, but she knew that the girls didn't care at all for her hard work on making up the whole routine. Clea tried to forget about it and kept smiling.
