Indie nodded at his replies, staying quiet because she didn't know what to say. She hated that she had made their relationship be like this. She missed the days where they would just talk for hours, telling stories and laughing together. She missed the days where they would cuddle and kiss all day while they just spoke about hopes and dreams, telling stories they had already heard before. It use to be perfect. He made her smile all the time and the way he would look at her made her get butterflies. She missed it so much and she didn't know how to get it back. She knew she would never get it back now, she had already ruined it. ''Oh sorry for keeping you,'' she said as she stood up, grabbing her bag. ''Erm I think I'll pass. I would love to come and see them, I miss them a lot, but I don't think they would want to see me after everything.'' she said as she glanced down at her feet. ''Tell them I say hi though and that I miss them. And that I'm sorry.'' she said as she pushed some hair out of her face. ''I'm in town for the next few days so just sign the papers and give me back by Friday. In fact I was talking to jessa before I came here and she said that you and our friends from school were going to the carnival. You could give them to me there if you want? it's the night before I leave for New york.'' she said as she walked towards the door. ''Thank you for letting me in and for being so nice. It's really, really nice to see you again. I've missed you a lot.'' she said softly ''Please know that I'm really sorry for everything, you know I only say sorry when I really really mean it and I do. I am so so sorry for everything.'' she said as she took one last look at him before she quickly exited the house and got in her car. She just wanted to leave so she could cry. (want to skip to the carnival maybe and they actually talk and enjoy being together?:3)

Mat and Clementine's family huddled in the corner of the room, waiting excitedly for the doctors to finish untangling all the wires from her and taking out the tube in her throat. He was so excited to see her, and to talk to her. He watched, wondering if they were almost done. He grinned when he heard her voice but frowned at what she said. She was asking who these people were. She was asking who he was. Mat walked over to her, tears in his eyes. He took his hand in hers ''Clementine.. it's me.. Mat. Please say you remember,'' he asked, his voice cracking at the end. His heart broke when she said she didn't know him. A tear fell down his cheek as he stepped back. ''why can't she remember?'' he cried, looking at the doctor ''Why can't my girlfriend remember who I am?'' he cried, putting his head in his hands.

The carnival was the one of the biggest events of the year and people from all over the state usually came to see the various attractions and eat greasy food. "You always were easy to scare" he said, looking her up and down and noticing how much more dressed down she was, wearing just a pair of jeans and a cute top. "You look nice" he said, always the one unable to hold back what he was thinking. "Sorry, I probably shouldn't say stuff like that" he quickly added.

Clementine watched, confused, as Mat began to scream at the doctors, asking why she couldn't remember who anyone was. She sat up in her bed, quickly picking up on the fact that Mat was probably her boyfriend and the rest of the people in the room were important to her too, probably family. She looked over at the doctors, listening as they explained that she probably lost most of her memories from the accident but there was still a chance that as the swelling in her brain went down and healed more, that she would regain those precious memories. "I'm sorry, but could everyone just give me a moment?" she quietly asked, desperately craving some time alone so that she could take in everything that was happening to her. An older woman, who she guessed was her mother came up to her, crying and demanding that she come home with her tonight as they were upset with the treatment plan that the hospital had planned out for her. Clementine felt like she didn't have much of a choice so she simply nodded her head, looking over at Mat and giving him a blank stare as he brought up things that they did together in hopes of sparking her memory. "I'm...sorry" she whispered to him, shaking her head. "I don't remember any of that" she finished.

She looked him over and smirked ''Well don't you look handsome tonight, cowboy?'' she asked as her name was called for the food. She grabbed it all, struggling a little. ''Erm I may have gotten too much food, the last few years slipped my mind for a minute and I got our order. Do you want some? I've got your favourite.'' she said with a smile as she attempted to hold it all.

As to why she back in town, asking for him to sign the divorce papers after he had been ignoring them for so long. “I mean… it’s none of my business, I was just curious” he mumbled, looking down at his hands.

She hated herself so why wouldn't he hate her? ''You know I wanted to come back as soon as I left.'' she said quietly ''But I was too scared to come back.'' she said as she looked over at him ''I'm sorry I just left, Devon. I just didn't know what to do after we lost the baby. It hurt me more than I ever expected and I know it hurt you and I wanted to help you feel better and as much as I tried to help you it made me feel worse and I didn't want to put all my feelings on top of your own and the only thing I could think to do was leave.'' she said as she covered her mouth with her hand, taking a moment to compose herself ''I also felt like it was my fault and I couldn't even give you a baby. I couldn't do one thing I was suppose to.'' she said as she shook her head and looked down. She needed to get all of that off of her chest. To explain why she left so he knew. ''I miss home more than ever even though I'm home.'' she said as a tear slid down her cheek.

Yeah that sounds good! and I guess I'm going to make it to where she basically is able to remember most of her memory like her family and stuff just not the fact that she was dating Mat, etc.

Seb sighed as he ran a hand through his hair, looking around at the apartment. He had spent the last few days re arranging things so that Clementine could have her own room. It would be weird for her to share a bed with a guy she can't remember. His room was now the living room, the sofa bed being his bed. He had made sure that everything was perfect. He glanced at the time, they would be here soon. He felt like he was going to throw up. How was he suppose to act around his girlfriend who couldn't even remember him? He didn't know what to do. He felt even more sick when there was a knock at the door. They were early. He stood and answered the door. He grinned "Hey." He said as he let them all in. "Hey, clem." He said as he smiled at her, hoping she might have remembered something.

Clementine nervously stood on the other end of the door, waiting for Mat to answer the door. Over the past few weeks, she was able to regain most of her memory. She knew who her family was, she remembered that she was a school teacher, she even remembered little pointless memories, but she was still unable to remember the fact that she was in a long term relationship with the man that was now standing in front of her. She gave him a weak smile, "Hey" she said quietly before glancing back at her mother who stood beside her. "I'll call you later, okay?" she said, giving her a quick hug goodbye before stepping inside his apartment. Well, apparently it was her apartment too. She took everything in, hoping that something would trigger her memory, but she just stood there clueless. She glanced back at Mat, "Sorry, I still don't remember anything" she said with a frown. She was hoping that by moving back in with him that things would somehow return to how they used to be before her accident. She saw Mat's dedication to her, hell, he was at the hospital every single day. She knew that her being unable to know who he was was killing him. "Um... where can I put my stuff?" she nervously asked him.

She told her parents while he told his. ''Mum I need to find Devon.'' she told her as she turned to head back up the aisle, her eyes widening as she saw the man she wanted to see. She bent down and took off her heels before she ran to him. ''Devon.'' she said as she looked up at him ''We're still married.'' she said as she tired to think of what to do or say. ''I didn't sign the papers.. what would you say if we kept it that way? If I didn't sign them at all?'' she asked.

Mat said goodbye to her parents and then shut the door behind them. He didn't know that she didn't remember him still yet, he was hoping that she might have at least remembered something. He smiled at her, waiting to see if she said something but she just stared at him, blankly. He sighed, she still didn't remember him. ''Oh. S.. sorry I forgot.'' he said quietly as he bit his lip. ''I'll give you a tour.'' he said as he quickly led her around, telling her what was where. When they were done he led her back to the living room and bit his lip ''In the bedroom. I erm I thought you would probably not want to sleep in there with me anymore so I erm I'll sleep out here. I moved all my stuff out as well.'' he said as he grabbed her bags and took them to her room for her. ''Are you hungry? or thirsty?'' he asked. ''I could make your favourite meal?'' he asked, he had got all the ingredients hoping that making it might help them bond a little.

Clementine quietly followed behind Mat as he gave her a quick tour of the apartment. It was on the small side, but she loved the way the decor was set up. Although, she figured she was the one who probably did most of it, before the accident and all. She left her bags in the bedroom, feeling a bit awkward as Mat mentioned that he would be sleeping in the living room. She was glad that he understood that was wasn't exactly ready to jump back into things because well, it was basically like she was living with a stranger now. Clementine looked up at Mat as he suggested that he could make her favorite meal. "That sounds great" she said with a soft smile, taking a step into the kitchen. "And that would be?" she asked him with a slight laugh. In her mind, she thought that shrimp lo mein was her favorite food, although she knew that to Mat it could be something completely different. Clementine was trying to be as open as possible as she could only imagine how hard things had been on Mat. He was definitely a sweet and attractive man and she could see why she would want to date someone like him, but ever since the accident... things just felt odd. He wanted to jump right back into the relationship while Clem just saw it as them starting completely over. This practically felt like their first date.

She gave him a small smile and placed her hand in his before she pulled him towards his truck. She couldn't wait to sort things out. Explain to him properly how she had never, ever stopped loving him.

Indie climbed into the truck happily, happy to be with Devon and that things might finally be looking up. When he pulled up by the little lake they use to go to all the time she felt relaxed and happy for the first time since she left two years ago. She felt even better when his lips touched hers, it was a feeling she had missed and she had been wanting to kiss him since she got back. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back, trying to pour as much love into the kiss as she could. When they pulled away she smiled a little, loving the feeling of being back with him. When he said that he had been holding that back it made her think of everything she wanted to tell him. Her hear a broke at the scared look on his face. She bit her lip and got out of the tuck. She closed her door and then headed over to his side and opened the door, holding her hand out to him. When he took her hand she led him over to their old spot. Once he was sat down she sat in his lap, just like she use to. She wrapped her arms around him tightly and rested her head against his chest. ''Don't be scared, or worried ok? I know it's probably hard for you to trust me after what I did but I'm not going anywhere, I promise you that. I didn't come back because I was scared, Devon. I wanted to because I love you so much and being away from you was killing me inside. It was awful and all I wanted to do was come home. I knew that I couldn't though because I knew it was more than likely that you hated me. And that scared me into not coming back. I didn't want to realise that you really did hate me. That's why I got with someone else, if you did hate me then maybe it wouldn't have hurt as much. That wasn't true though, being with someone else just made me realise how much I love and missed you. I never stopped loving you Devon, ever. I wanted to be here with you this whole time but my fear stopped me from coming back. I don't deserve a second chance but it would make my life if you would give me a chance. I understand if you want me to sign those papers though, you deserve someone so much better than me. Oh and you know when you asked if I wanted a beer that time and I said no? It's because I can't drink anymore.. I went to rehab because I drank so much over the past few years. I've been sober for about ten months now. I drank as a way to try and forget how much I wanted to be home but it just made me want to come home even more.'' she said softly, taking a big breath as she got everything out. ''I hate what I did for you and I hate seeing that fear in your eye as you wonder if I'm going to leave again.'' she said a tear streamed down her cheek.
