He listens to Ellie and is quick to catch her as she passes out. He sits down on the floor with her, placing her over his lap, holding her head up with one arm, while he calls for a medic. He leans down and listens to her breathing and checks her pulse. "Miss Carter," He says and tries to stir her awake. "Wake up, miss Carter. You're OK." He mumbles and keeps talking to her, trying to get her back to conciousness.

She smiles, "I bet you won't, i'd kick your butt." Putting her hand on her stomach she nods and walks further up the line. "Well, you get used to it you know.. " She takes a tray and moves closer to the food. "Yeah, let's hope that won't happen," she laughs and shakes her head.

It was she was sleeping which was nice but then suddenly she could hear someone talking to her. ''Miss Carter'', ''Wake up, Miss Carter'' it took a while but slowly she started to open her eyes and saw Axel's face. ''Ugh...what happened?'', asked her with a weak voice. This was kind of embarrassing and she just wanted to hide and forget this but her body felt so heavy that she couldn't get up quick enough to run away from him.

He let out a low sigh of relief and tokk Ellie's wrist in his hand, gently pressing a finger against her pulsepoint. "You fainted," Axel said matter of factly. She nods sympathetically. "Yeah, know." The cantine cook put some food on her tray and she takes it over to one of the free tables. "But where i grew up the food was not that good anyways, so i guess it's easier for me that way." She pops a piece of.. potato, maybe? She's not really sure, into her mouth.

He cant help but crunch up his face a bit, and a deep sigh escapes him. "Listen," he says quietly and runs a hand through his long hair, "You need to realize that it doesn't work that way. You can kill as many zombies as you wan't, but that wont take the pain away. Trust me, i know." He stares at a space between them for a couple of seconds before he continues. "My sister was called in duty, the first year after the first attacks. And for a long time i was so angry. I acted out, and pushed myself too hard. But in the chaos of all of that i realized that i had pushed myself from those who i loved, who are still alive. Trust me, you can't have revenge on something that keeps on coming like this."

She shakes her hand and stuffs her face with more food, "No, it's not like that, i didn't mean it like that." She chews loudly and rests her elbow on the table. "I was always fed, and i was mostly always clean. We were just many children so we just got real easy food and stuff you know.. kind of like the food we eat here sometimes."

He eats some food while listening to her before nodding. ''Well, if you and I are still alive when this is over I promise that I will cook you a five stars meal'', said he and smiled at her. Believe it or nor but Gabe was actually a great chef in the kitchen and loved to cook food. ''Prepare yourself for a food adventure you will never forget'', said he and laughed a little.

She raises an eyebrow, "Oh really? I'll hold you up to that promise." She smiles, big and bright. This feels good, she thinks. Casual. Comfortable. "I would like that." A laugh escapes her and then she looks down at her food, and keeps eating.

Slowly he shakes his head and sits next to Ellie, carefully leaning his head against the wall, turning his face to her. He usually does not share this kind of information with people, he is usually quiet. But no one has really asked, either. He always seems broody and distant, so they don't bother asking. Clarisse is the only one who really knows anything about him.

She finishes her food as well and stands up, putting her plate on a tray next to the table. "Sure, i need a nap and a shower first though.. How about we do it tonight, let's say 8?" She was so tired, but she knew she had to go train a couple of the newest members anyway, so meeting Gabe after should be fine.

(should we flash forward with these two. or just wait and do axel and ellie first and then continue after that?)
