The next day, Penny woke up by the sound of the door slamming. This wasn't good, she knew, as she was always the first one to leave - which meant that she was now late for school. She checked the clock on her bedstand and it read 9 am. Fuck, she thought. Luckily her parents never bothered to wake her for school, as they always assumed she either already had left, or that she had to meet later, so, technically, if she wanted to, it was really easy for her to just skip school.
Which she decided to. As she moved, her entire body ached, as if she'd run a full on marathon, and she groaned at the thought of having to change into new clothes. She then checked her phone, to which she noticed a message from an unknown number. Meeting at 3 pm it read. Oh, right.
No point in getting out of bed before 2:30 pm then, she thought. She did some stretches in an effort to relieve some pain, but to no avail. She changed into some fresh clothes, crawled back into bed and turned on the TV, to which she then proceeded to watch mind-numbing soap operas until 2:30 pm. As it was time, she turned off the TV and headed for the civic center, making it there quarter past three. Her body really wasn't on her side today. She made her way into the agreed upon room and discovered most of the people already there.
(just catching up to speed with you guys hah)
