Gabbie was relieved that she was finally being listened to. Finally she was becoming who she was destined to be and the adrenaline was kicking in again, her mother agreeing to everything she said. Was this the power of the necklace? Because it felt fantastic. "That's all I am for. I'm an adult, now, I can make my own decisions. And also, you can stop putting lavender in my food now. Dad told me about that, too." She raised an eyebrow, taking Connors hand and squeezing it. "Connor is the best person I've ever met, Mom. Werewolves aren't scary. You should talk to them. Get to know his tribe." She suggested, feeling a little brave.

Gabbies mum gasped a little at the mention of the lavender, "sweetie it was just a preventative measure I had to do it," she looked over at Connor and then back at her daughter. "If that would make you happy then ok, I will." turning back to Connor she spoke directly to him, "your right, I don't want to lose my daughter and if that means I need to accept your.. kind.. then I will try."

Connor gave Gabbie's hand a gentle squeeze, speaking into her mind you are doing so well. The mention of getting to know his tribe made him smile, it meant a lot hearing her appreciate how important that part of his life was and wanting to encourage her mum to experience that too. "It would be incredible if you could get to know the tribe, of course you met a few of us earlier in the week but there are so many more."

Gabbie shook her head. "You didn't be have to do it, you could have let me be who I am, Mom. I could have been so much more by now but I don't even have any idea of what I'm capable of." She admitted. She knew the necklace would strengthen her but in what sort of way. She didn't know what she was capable of. Laughing at Connor, she shook her head. "Indint think my mother is quite ready to get involved with the whole trib,d hell, I've only met a select few of them. But.mom, you're going to love them. They're all so passionate and loving." She nodded her head. Maybe now she could just enjoy her summer before going back to university.

I was terrified of losing you." she looked down at the ground trying to pull herself together, "I'm sure they are.. all of those things but I think I need to go and lie down." she admitted, standing up. It was clear that the colour had completely left her face.

Connor stayed quiet as the pair spoke amongst themselves, not wanting to interrupt too much but as her mum made her way out of the living room he turned to Gabbie and let go of her hand. Pulling her into a cuddle he planted a kiss on her head, "you did great you know?" he said as he pulled away to look into her eyes properly, "at least now you have a proper home for the remainder of summer so we can try and work out everything you are now capable of in a much safer environment."

"Hmm I bet that smells like heaven. But I'll let you go. I'm still gonna find a way to come and rescue you, though, you make my words." He said his little goodbyes to her before hanging up, landing up on the platform and taking a deep breath.

Gabbie nodded her head. "Okay mom, I love you." She smiled at her and watched her walking off, before falling into Connors arms and holding onto him, tightly. "I'll still never get over you entering into my head like that. Is it just your family that does that or is it all werewolves?" She laughed, resting against his sides she brought her feet up on the sofa. "And she was much more accepting of you than I thought she'd be.. have you been Charming my mother behind my back Connor?" She teased.

"Sorry if it feels odd, just tell me to get out if you hate it." he couldn't help but laugh, "oh yes you see while you were away at the nunnery I snuck round here with flowers and an 'I'm sorry card' for her and since then we have just become the best of pals." he shook his head, looking at his phone as it buzzed. The text was from his dad about a meeting tonight, "there's a tribe meeting soon.. if you want to tag along you are more than welcome"

He took his shirt off and then transformed into his wold self, letting out an almighty howl.

Gabbie laughed quietly. "It's weird its like the start of a headache but a really good headache, I think I'll get used to it eventually. I wish I could do it back though that could make for some interesting conversations." She couldn't get past the fact that Connor was in her house, with her mothers knowledge, and they were able to just chill out. She glanced down at his phone and shrugged. "Would I be allowed to do that? I mean I definitely want to but I don't want you breaking any rules, Connor." She was excited to see more of his life.

But they had no time for that now as Connors had a tribe meeting to attend and she got up from the sofa, taking his hands to pull him up she kissed his nose before rushing out into the hallway and shoving her feet into her converse. "I'll be back later Mom!" She called, before grabbing end little white denim jackets shrugging it on, and heading outside with him.

He followed her back to the hallway, watching as she put her jacket and shoes on meanwhile he had never bothered to take his off. "Off we go," he said slinging an arm over her and heading into the forest. "just stick by me during this thing, and don't feel scared."

Karl had of course attended the meeting, he had a lot of shame due to his eldest sons behaviour but he had to put on a brave face. Shaking Emmanuels hand on the way in, "Good to see you too and I'm sorry again for my eldest sons behaviour, I hope you won't hold it against me."

Gabbie kept herself close to him underneath his arm, her arm around his back as they hurried into the forest and into the cabin. It was a lot scarier than she thought it would be but she kept her head held high as she walked into the cabin with him, sliding in the seat next to him and holding his hand. All eyes were on her, she was fresh meat and they could all probably smell what she actually was. She didn't even know who she was, some weird half breed angel. Everyone in the room looked fierce but she moved her eyes to the man at the front of the room.

Her eyes lingered over Gabbie as she entered, what a fascinating creature she seemed to radiate purity yet somehow darkness lingered over her.

Connor said hello to a few of the other members as they entered, sitting down at the lower end of the table and he lifted his head as his dad came over to them. "Hey dad." he said with a small smile on his lips, they had a lot of family matters to discuss but now wasn't the place. "I thought it was only fair to welcome Gabbie to the tribe since she is interested in this part of my life."

"I welcome you all here this evening. Tonight is a very big night for us, as it is the evening that I announce my retirement date, and announce the new beginning for my son, and our new elder, Luna. It is with great sadness that these are the circumstances but we mustn't grumble, we shall conquer and succeed in everything we do." He pressed his palms together in front of him. "You all may also be aware that the other gentleman, who was competition to be alpha, is no long with us, and it is with sorrow that I announce Dymitrius diamond is no longer part of this tribe. He betrayed us all when Luna needed him most, and for that he will suffer for a life time."

Of course he was ready to step down now his brother was out of the picture, there was only one other candidate left - Emmanuel. His eyes flashed over to Luna, slightly confused, last time he had checked she was getting cosy with his brother or was she only ever interested in being with whoever would be powerful. But then Michael mentioned his brother and he just couldn't stop himself, he stood up and slammed his fist on the table, "Dymitrius did not betray anyone he made a lapse of judgement, that does not mean we need to go after him. Wasn't exiling him enough for you?"

Gabbie was listening carefully, her ears picking up every word that was said. Wow, they really did seem to hate Connors brother and it was a little horrible with the way they were referring to him. Dymitrius had been an asshole but that didn't mean that he deserved to be ruined by these people. She watched Connor stand up and slam his fist, which made her jump, and she reached her hand up to his and gave it a little squeeze, but there was no calming him down and she could feel her own blood boiling beside him. Her other hand held onto the necklace and twiddled the stone between her thumb and finger.
