Auden went into the bathroom and closed the door behind her. She opened the box carefully and read the box, raising an eyebrow as she observed how the time to read the test was in bold letters. Sitting on the seat, she did her business and stood before grabbing a paper towel and placing the stick on it. She washed her hands, hoping to kill some time. As she stood there, she chewed on her lower lip as she stared down at the test. Never had five minutes gone by so slowly. When the time had finished, she compared the two lines that she saw next to the key that said that she was pregnant. "Holy shit."

Alex's eyes followed her as she set the two cups on the table. He leant forward and grabbed one, staring into it before taking a swig of the coffee. "She's pregnant." He said calmly, hoping that maybe if he faked it he would actually feel calm and his mood would rub off on her. Taking another sip, he tried to bring himself to look at her but he just couldn't. "She said that it's mine and that she's sure of it. She's scheduling an appointment."

Cole rocked back and forth slowly as he waiting, drumming his hands nervously against his knees. Who knew they took this long? Hadn't technology progressed at all?! He exhaled and ran his hands through his hair again before standing up. He went over to the bathroom and rapped on the door lightly.
"What the fucks taking so long?" He lay his forehead against the door, listening in for her. She couldn't be pregnant, could she?

Katia's eyes closed and her head dropped, as if the information was too much for her to handle. She raised her hands to her eyes, balled up into tight fists. She thought they'd moved on from all that, it was all in the past. But now this?! She exhaled dropped her curled hands onto his leg and looked up at him. Some how, while she was trying to grasp it, she thought of how Alex was feeling. He was the one with all the guilt, hoping to get it all behind him too. Now he was having a kid, the mistake he made was now on his shoulders for the rest of his life. She shook head and moved against him, wrapping her arms around his waist and laying her head on his shoulder. She still wasn't sure what to say but this was pretty much her saying it was going to be alright.

Auden felt a hard lump forming in her throat and tears starting to build in her eyes. She jumped a little when she'd heard Cole's knocking on the door as she'd forgotten where she was. She wiped her eyes with her shirt, not wanting to show that she was about to cry. She was stronger than that. "Just a second." She answered, her voice slightly shaking. Reaching beneath the sink, she grabbed a plastic bag and slipped the test inside before tying it and placing it in the garbage bin. She ran her fingers through her hair before opening the door and looking up at him. "It was positive." She pushed past him and went into her bedroom, not knowing what else there was to say.

Alex continued to stare down into his coffee, feeling as she moved about on the sofa. He felt sorry for putting her through this. They'd been working so hard to better all of the things he'd fucked up and now there was another rift between them. When she'd rested her head on his shoulder, he adjusted his body so that they fit better together. His arm wrapped around her as his hand fell softly into her lap. "I'm sorry Katia. Left and right all I do is mess up. I'm not even sure of whether or not I'd be a good father. What the hell could I give the kid? A lesson on why you shouldn't cheat because somewhere down the road you'll end up having a child with your fiancee's best friend?"

Cole stepped back from the door as she told him to wait, his eyebrows raised slightly in expectation. When she finally came to the door and told him, he felt his stomach drop. He frowned as she pushed past him and went to the bedroom, a million thoughts running through his head. So, that was that. Auden was pregnant. He exhaled and followed her to the bedroom, only not bothering to knock this time.
"Auden, it's gonna be alright, ok? You don't have to keep the baby, there's loads of options!" He was struggling and he really hoped she couldn't tell. Only it was Auden and nothing gets past her.

Katia frowned a little and straightened up, looking him directly in the face.
"No, Alex. You'll be a great dad. The situation isn't good but the baby..." She paused, looking down. "Well, all children are blessings." She couldn't believe this was happening. Alex was her fiancé, shouldn't his first child be hers as well? Or at least not her best friends. She couldn't understand why all this bad luck was falling on her and Alex. She shuffled away from him to pick up her cup and have a drink. "Did you say you'd help her and that?" She looked over at him, her lips pursed slightly.

Auden rolled her eyes at his comment as she took a seat on her bed, fighting the urge to grab a cigarette from her nightstand. "There's loads of options? Let's look at the options. Option number 1: I get rid of the baby and then I have to live with that shit on my conscience. Option number 2: I give it up to someone else and the kid grows up thinking I hated him or that I was some prostitute. Option number 3: I keep it and end up fucking its life up because I'd never be a proper parent." She shook her head as she got up from her bed and went over to her window where a small cushion sat in the window. Taking a seat, she looked over at him and cocked her head towards the door. "But you have the option of leaving, and I think you should."

Alex turned and watched her as she had a drink, her eyes eventually meeting his. "Of course I did. I wouldn't just leave her." He lifted the cup up from his lap and tilted it back before having a drink. His eyes moved away from her and landed on the coffee table. "How are you with all of this?" He asked before leaning his head back onto the sofa. He needed her opinion and of course he wanted to know nothing but the truth. In the event that she didn't feel that she could handle it, he didn't want to trap her into staying with him.

Cole eyebrows shot up as she had the rant, rolling her eyes at him like he was stupid for trying to help. He couldn't help but smile a little as she told him to leave.
"Wait, what? Auden, I'm only trying to help, I don't know..." He shook his head, frowned and then shrugged his shoulders. "Whatever then. Deal with it on your own." He turned and walked out the bedroom, slamming the door behind him as the frustration came out. He didn't think she realized that this was just as much on him as it was hers. Cole was a lot of things but he could never abandon his child. If it was even his, that is. He patted his pocket for his keys and walked out the apartment. He wanted to roast someone alive. That was the moment he spotted TJ heading for the apartment.

TJ had been thinking a lot and the only conclusion he could come to was to speak it out with Auden. It was the only option he had and he felt he needed it in order to properly move on. That, and he did miss her. He seemed to have a permanent look of anger, his eyebrows furrowed constantly as his thoughts were always pretty dark since the holiday. He had his hands buried deep in his jacket, his eyes trained on the floor. It was only when he got closer to Auden's that he looked up and saw Cole on the way out.

Katia nodded slowly and had another drink.
"Good." She let the question hang between them as she thought. She still wasn't sure. She definitely wasn't happy with the news. The idea of Alex having a baby that wasn't hers sort of sickened her, especially since the child was made through him cheating on her with her best friend. On the other hand, they had moved past it all. Her and Alex were stronger than ever and she felt like this was just another consequence of his actions. One that they would just have to deal with. She frowned and then shrugged her shoulders, leaving them high for a couple of seconds before dropping them. "I'm not sure how I'm supposed to be."

Aislin read a text that had been sent to her phone. She'd expected it to be Max, telling her that he was on his way home. But it was a friend inviting her to some party. Aislin raised her eyebrow as she read over the message once more, deciding on whether or not it would be good to go. She'd gotten used to only being around Max for the last couple of weeks and the thought of venturing back out and meeting up with her other friends caused her to feel a little anxious.

Auden blinked once the door had slammed. She turned back to the window, her eyes waiting to watch Cole as he passed down the pavement. When he finally did walk out, she bit her lip before getting up from the window and closing the blind. She felt slightly bad for making him angry, but that was what she did best. She made people angry, she did stupid things, she said the wrong things all the time. It was as if all of those things were patches woven into the cloth that was her personality. She exhaled before walking out of her room and into the living room where she locked the door that had been left unlocked once Cole had left.

Alex shrugged his shoulders as well before taking the last few sips of his coffee that had cooled down as they'd talked. He stood up from the sofa and went into the kitchen where he washed the cup before placing it in the washer to dry. "I don't know either, but I feel that you're entitled to feel some sort of way. I'm perfectly fine with letting you slap me. I mean, if that's what you want then I'm completely fine with it." A small smirk came onto his lips as he attempted to make a little light out of the situation.

Cole rolled his eyes and muttered underneath his breath, "Oh great." He carried on the way he was originally going to go, the way TJ had come from. He wasn't scared because... well, he was Cole. He headed straight toward him, to walk past, speaking as he went.
"I wouldn't go in there, now's not a good time." He glanced over his shoulder at him before he walked off, his eyebrows raised to show he was serious. As he went, he wondered if the kid was TJ's or not. Whether Auden was gonna tell him. He stopped and whether it was annoyance toward Auden that drove him to say, or whether it was just him being a prick, he turned and looked back toward him. "Auden's pregnant." It was out before he could think. He frowned and then walked off.

TJ narrowed his eyes as he came toward him. What was he doing coming out of there? Well... he didn't really need to think about it. He wasn't with Auden anymore so they wouldn't even have to bother with sneaking around. He decided there and then it was a mistake to go and see her. He didn't need that. He wasn't expecting Cole to say anything so when he spoke to warn him, he frowned before rolling his eyes. Who did he think he was? He went to continue walking, not looking at him as he spoke the news. He stopped dead in his tracks and turned to look at him, but Cole was already gone. He glanced up at Auden's apartment, his face ashen, as he turned and walked quickly off.

Katia rolled her eyes.
"No... I don't want to slap you." She allowed herself to smirk a little too, shaking her head at him slightly. She followed him into the kitchen and hugged him tightly to her. "I just know that I'm engaged to you and I chose to forgive you for what you did. This shouldn't change anything." She let go of him and exhaled, reaching up to run her hands through her hair. "It'll take some getting used to though... I mean, a baby?" She shook her head slowly.

Aislin uncomfortably sat between two people who insisted on talking across her. It seemed as if they'd both jumped at the opportunity to fill the open seats next to her. Max had gone off to use the bathroom and she'd been left on the sofa, catching bits and pieces of tweedledee and tweedledum's conversation. She looked down at her half empty cup before taking a drink and relaxing back into the couch as she tried to distance herself in some way from the two girls. She smiled just in time as one of them looked at her. Only was it when she looked back away did Aislin roll her eyes and take another drink.

Auden lay curled up on the couch, watching some romantic comedy. It was the worst film she'd ever seen but she felt too lazy to change the channel up until when the couple kissed for the fiftieth time in the movie. She stretched over towards the coffee table and turned to MTV before settling back onto her sofa and pulling her small quilt over her. She smirked as the theme to Geordie Shore started to play. While she hated Geordie Shore, it was way better than any romantic film. She sighed as she thought about how she could be out partying right now. But she knew that both Cole and TJ were bound to be there, and she wasn't exactly ready to see either one of them.

Alex walked along with Katia, her hand in his. He'd waited nearly half an hour for Katia to get ready and they'd decided on walking since the party was a few blocks away. At first he'd been hesitant about going to a party so soon after the news, but he later changed his mind as the party seemed like a small distraction. Something that could take his mind away from the fact that soon he'd be having to prepare for having a kid. As they walked, he let go of Katia's hands and slung his arm around her shoulder. "You look beautiful."

Cole was stood, directly opposite Aislin, trying desperately to not even look her way as he drank and spoke to a pretty little blonde. Only he couldn't help himself from stealing a few glances over the top of his glass as he took a big gulp of the beer in his hand. She was sat between two girls, not interested in them in even the slightest, hardly making an attempt to appear otherwise, which amused him for a while. That was until Max came back and handed her a drink, leaning down to kiss her. He rolled his eyes and forced his eyes to the blonde girl. Max had once been his best friend outside their group, someone he could go to to get away from them all. He'd known about Aislin and as soon as they came back and she was over him, in bounced Max. He wasn't her type in the slightest though and he wondered what she even saw in him.

TJ was stood outside smoking, deep in thought. He'd only come in hopes that he'd see Cole or Auden, in order to straighten up the facts that Cole had dished. It couldn't be true, it was Cole after all. He was hardly one to be trusted. Yet, there was something in his face that made him believe him. He turned to look over his shoulder, into the house party. So far, he'd seen neither Cole nor Auden and he was beginning to get tired. They might not even be here but Auden would never usually skip a party, without good reason. He gulped and threw the cigarette away, stepping back inside the house where the music was jumping.

Katia smirked a little at him, reaching up to kiss him lightly on the cheek.
"Thankyou, you look alright too, I guess." She moved her arm around his waist, squeezing it softly. She'd been a bit worried about coming out so soon but she didn't feel like they should punish themselves any more for what had happened. You couldn't change it so there was no point moping around the house. May as well just have fun in the mean time. She was still struggling to grasp that a baby would be around in only 9 months. Alex and Cara's baby. She grimaced a little, only briefly, at the thought before pushing it away.

Aislin smiled when Max had returned from the bathroom, holding a drink in his hand. She quickly finished off her first before taking the second. This time when she lifted the cup up to her lips did she notice Cole in the background talking to some blonde girl. She watched him for a while until her eyes moved over towards the girl. She took note of just how easily the girl seemed to be flirting. Shaking her head, she swallowed back another mouthful before moving her attention elsewhere. She wondered if he was with the girl or if he'd met her at the party. She wasn't jealous just...curious. When the girls finally stood to leave, Max reclaimed his seat. Aislin couldn't help but to feel slightly guilty that he had to stay by her side. It was a party and he deserved to be out there dancing. Instead he had to keep next to his girlfriend. "Go on, I'll catch up with you later." She told him, giving him a smile before getting up from the couch and weaving through the crowd.

After some time had passed and the show had started to make her feel nauseous, she stood from the sofa and walked back into the kitchen. Opening the fridge, she looked around for something to eat. She frowned at the idea of cooking especially since she was the only one home. She'd just have to have cereal again. Reaching for the milk, she placed it on the counter before grabbing a bowl from the cupboard and a box of cereal from the top of the fridge. She'd thought the show would take her mind away from her possible pregnancy yet the idea loomed around annoyingly in her mind.

Alex groaned as he looked down at her. "You guess? I'm pretty sure I look more than just alright. You're just jealous." He said as he saw them approaching the house. It was easy to see as people stood outside smoking or practically falling over themselves. As they made their way up the steps, he pulled Katia in front of him since nearest the door was usually the worst place in a party. As they got in, he surveyed the room, smiling a little at some of his older friends from outside of the group.

Cole made a few jokes toward the blonde girl, raising his eyebrows as she laughed with full enthusiasm. Well, I know what you're after. The old Cole would have happily escorted the girl upstairs to a bedroom at that very moment, but he didn't. Instead, he noticed Aislin weaving through the crowd, and it was even better that she was without Max for once. He drained his glass in one go and held it up to her.
"I'm just getting a refill, I'll be back in 5 minutes!" He gave her a quick smile before turning to walk off. However, she tapped him on the shoulder and pointed behind her, where the kitchen was lit brightly. He paused a moment and then smiled again. "Uh. Just gonna check on a friend first! I won't be long." He  moved through the crowd after Aislin, rolling his eyes at the girl and the fact she couldn't have just been a stereotypical dumb blonde.

TJ manouvered through the crowd and upon not finding either of them again, he decided to just leave and call Auden. If she was home, he'd go to see her. He'd tried to push what Cole said away but he couldn't. He could possibly be having a baby, this wasn't something you just forget. He stepped outside and got out his phone, dialling her number and holding it to his ear as he began to walk from the house. When she answered, he cleared his throat, running his hand across his closely shaven head.
"Hi, Aud. It's TJ... erm, could I come to yours for a bit? Sorry it's late, I just..." He closed his eyes briefly and exhaled. "I need to talk to you."

Katia laughed and rolled her eyes at him.
"Oh yeah, I'm jealous." She watched the people outside the house, smirking as a girl tripped and displayed her dirty thong to a group of handsome boys. She couldn't talk about handling drink but she'd definitely never gotten into that state. She laughed again as Alex moved her in front as they went inside, shaking her head at him. It was packed and not even with people she knew. Most were strangers, the others barely even acquaintances. She noticed Alex's old friends and she glanced up at him to see him smile. She nudged him gently, indicating her head toward them.
"Go get 'em, tiger!"

Aislin felt slightly accomplished as she made it through the throng of girls who stood grinding up against one another. Maybe it was the fact that she was completely sober around drunk girls that caused her to be slightly annoyed by them. She excused herself as she broke through the middle of two guys dancing near the doorway to the kitchen, smirking when she scored dirty looks from the both of them. the drink Max had gotten for her had grown nearly warm and the taste of warm alcohol made her nearly gag. She sniffed deeply, the smell of weed weighed heavy in the air. As she made herself a drink, she looked over at the kitchen table to find two girls and a boy smoking. Just from the way they rolled and gagged, she could tell that they were new to it. She smiled for the fourth time that night, finding some interest in the younger ones at the party.

Auden had finished halfway through her bowl of cereal when her phone had started to ring. Her eyebrows lifted as she heard TJ on the other end. She hadn't seen much of him and it made her stomach lurch just the smallest when she heard his voice. She paused and took another spoonful of cereal before placing her ear back to the phone. "Ring the bell when you get here.", was what she said before ending the call and leaning back in her chair. She wondered what it was that he wanted and that was when her nervousness intensified. She hadn't made up her mind about telling him. She'd only taken an at home test and what if it turned out that she wasn't pregnant? She bit her lip before standing and placing her bowl into the sink and walking back over to the sofa.

Alex leant down and gave Katia a peck on the lips before digging his hands into his pocket. "Try not to miss me too much. If you do, you can just text me." He chuckled before turning and walking off into the direction of where his friends were. He was amazed to find that half of them had gotten drunk a little before the party had even started. He smirked as he nodded his head, pretending to understand their mixed slurring.

Cole went off to find her, being unsuccessful until he reached the kitchen. He sighed, obviously she had to be in the room nearest to him, it couldn't have been any more simpler. He weaved through and once he was behind her he squeezed her on her right shoulder, before leaning to the left against the counter so she'd look and see no one only to turn around and see him there. When she looked at him, he grinned a little and nudged his head toward the glass.
"Make me one, yeah?"

TJ pushed his phone into his pocket, putting his head down against the wind as he walked. She hadn't questioned him which meant she knew what he was gonna ask about. He frowned a little, a million thoughts running through his head before he got there. Thoughts about the baby, being a father, not being the father, killing Cole. Once he reached hers, he stood at the door and rang the bell twice, stuffing his hands deep into his pockets.

Aislin looked up at him, her eyes taking in every inch of his face and how the cuts and bruises had healed. A small smirk formed on her face at the memory of how he'd looked last month compared to right now. Turning away from him, she made his drink as she thought on how a month ago she would've been worried about every little cut or scrape he'd gotten. But she was past that now. While she did think of him from time to time, she'd never let herself get completely wrapped as she had been. She handed him his glass before lifting hers to her lip and taking a sip. "Well, I see you've healed nicely." She teased, her smile still fixed on her face as she moved back to face the group.

Auden breathed deeply before running her fingers through her hair and tying it back into a ponytail using the elastic on her wrist. She got up from the sofa and went over to the door, she looked through the peephole despite knowing who it already was and unlocked the door. She opened the door wide enough for him to slip through as she busied her mind with other thoughts. After she'd closed the door, she walked back to the sofa. A million things that she wanted to say to him floated around in her head, yet she sat there a little unsure of how to start with him.
