Aislin smirked, knowing that she couldn't tell him the real reason she'd gotten into the relationship. So she figured she'd go with why she'd stayed with him. "He's funny and sweet...also I guess there's more than just the physical attraction. We can talk about things every now and again." She shrugged, knowing that she'd given him a few more points than he'd earned. "Why does it matter to you?" She asked, tilting her head to the side as she took another pull. "You aren't jealous are you?"

Auden bit his lip as he got up to leave. She'd gotten used to having him there and having him leave so quickly made her feel slightly sad. Getting up from the sofa, she followed him over to the door and crossed her arms. "If you want you can crash on my sofa...it makes since...then we can leave for the appointment together..." She dropped her eyes to the ground as she waited for him to tell her no.

Cole dragged on the cigarette as she spoke, wrinkling his nose again. He wished he hadn't asked because he really didn't want to hear it. He exhaled the smoke as she scoffed, raising an eyebrow.
"Me? Jealous? No." He rolled his eyes and shook his head, toking on the last bit of the cigarette before throwing it on the floor. "I just think you can do better than him. I don't think you're actually that happy with him." He shrugged his shoulders and raised his eyebrows, tilting his head as he looked at her.

TJ paused at the door as she asked, feeling slightly relieved when she did. He had been hoping to say even though he knew it was wrong and he shouldn't. He turned to look at her, shrugging his shoulders to appear relaxed.
"Yeah, I guess." He pulled off his jacket and draped it across the chair. He'd just sleep in his boxers once she went to bed but he didn't want to change with her stood there. He wouldn't mind but it was just awkward. Especially since right now he just wanted to sleep with her.

Aislin rolled her eyes as she looked down into her cup. His comment struck her since usually he was insensitive and because it was true. He'd picked up on something, she'd known for quite a while. She wasn't happy with Max. She flicked the cigarette onto the ground and watched it for a few seconds. "Wise words from a person who hasn't had a relationship since...when was your last one?" She asked as a half smile formed on her lips.

Auden nodded her head as she stopped herself from smiling. She'd been sure that he would have called her crazy and left with a slam of the door but she was happy that he was staying. "Are you hungry, I could make something for you or..I could order something." She shrugged nonchalantly as she dug her hands into her back pockets.

Cole smirked broadly, almost proudly.
"Let me think... Never. Cole doesn't get tied down, remember that." He gave her a cheeky wink before drinking some more from the glass he held in hand that he'd gotten before they went out. It was pretty strong and did the trick. He looked past her into the garden and saw a pond with a loveseat sort of thing. "Hey, they actually have a decent garden..."

TJ shrugged and walked back toward the sofa, it suddenly feeling a whole lot more familiar as he settled on the sofa and decided between home cooked or takeaway.
"It's up to you, whichever you prefer." He pulled off his shoes as he sat there, pushing them beneath the coffee table and settling back against the sofa. It wasn't exactly like before, it was still new and awkward for them since the holiday, but it was a lot better for him and made him feel pretty miserable when he realized this was basically a mirage. They weren't together.

Aislin grinned widely at his preference for noncommittal relationships. Walking down the steps, she followed his eyes to find the loveseat and pond. "Aw, it's beautiful. Come on let's go sit by the pond."  Aislin stopped on the last step and finished off her drink since she didn't want to carry the glass around. She placed it on the step, figuring someone else would come along and pick it up sooner or later. "One day, I think you are going to want someone to be there with you. One night stand only fill the void for so long."

Auden continued to watch him from the same spot she stood in. She couldn't quite describe all of the things she felt. She was incredibly nervous since she felt that anything she said could very well send him away from the house. She liked having him around but she knew that it couldn't last forever. She grabbed her phone from the hook and called up the nearest pizza place. She wasn't hungry but every time they ordered out it had been from there. She ordered his usual before hanging up and taking a seat on the sofa. "Is the pregnancy all you came to talk about?" She asked as her eyebrows furrowed.

Cole watched as she moved down the steps toward it, to sit down. He drained the rest of the drink in his hand, wincing a little at the taste as he set i down on the ledge of the window behind him. He walked down after, glancing into the pond where a few koi's swam lazily around. He reached his shoe out and nudged a lily pad that was floating on the surface, not really to do anything but just for the hell of it. He heard her speak as his leg was stuck out and he looked over at her, his eyebrows raised slightly.
"Well, yeah. One day." He glanced back down at his foot, bringing it in so he was stood straight, his hands dug into his back pockets. He wondered how she'd react if he said he'd settle right now if she wanted to.

TJ knew she was stood watching him so he wasn't sure what to do with himself. He clasped his hands together and looked away out the window, watching as lights flickered in apartments across the street. He was second guessing his stay a she rang the pizza place, ordering the same thing that they used to. He played with his hands as she came to sit beside him on the sofa. He looked across at her once she asked and he frowned a little. He wasn't sure what she was getting at. Was it just a simple question or was she expecting him to say he'd come for something else. If so, what? Their relationship? He simply nodded his head.
"Yeah, I wanted to clear it up."

Aislin pulled out her wallet and shook out a few coins and tossed them one by one into the pond, watching as the koi fish scattered away from the area when the coins hit the surface. She smirked as a red speckled one stayed while the others swam away. As she watched him linger near the surface, she hoped that he didn't eat a coin. The last thing she wanted was to give a fish some sort of cpr. For a brief second, she'd forgotten that Cole was standing next to her, and bit her lip as silence fell between them. Silence had never proved good as it was often in silence that your mind ran completely wild and that wasn't something she needed to have happening while around him. She exhaled slowly as she turned her wallet around in her hands before looking up at him. "So, I think I'm going to head back in. Don't get too wild tonight." She laughed as she reached up and mussed his hair.

Auden sat back into the sofa after his nod. As time passed, she stared at the television, pretending to be really into whatever was happening. But her mind raced wildly as she thought about all the things she wanted to say to him. She wanted him back and she hated the awkwardness that had fallen over the room. He hadn't said anything else and she hadn't made the attempt of saying anything either. But she'd only stayed silent out of fear of what his reaction would be if she brought up their relationship. Building up enough courage, she started, "TJ, I..." She stopped, interrupted as her bell rang. She sighed before she stood up and went over to the door, stopping along the way to grab her money. She opened the door and handed over the money before getting his food. She watched as the delivery man counted back her change, restarting once he found that he'd given her extra. She huffed as she waited for him to recount.

Cole smirked a little, watching as she tossed the coins in. This was probably considered animal abuse somewhere, although he really did love fish and their simple ways. He cocked his head at the red speckled one, as it remained in the one spot despite the coins landing consistently near it. The corners of Cole's lips turned downward as he appeared impressed, nodding his head slowly. Fair enough, fish, fair enough. He looked across at her as she spoke again, the wallet turning over in her hands as if nervous. He frowned a little as she announced she was going to head back and leave him to it. He reached up and took the hand that was intertwined in his hand.
"Don't. Come back with me, we'll go." He knew it was the drink mainly talking, since he'd never have said it sober, but he meant it. He knew that once she went inside he wouldn't see her again for a while and she'd stay with Max and he just couldn't stand the thought.

TJ didn't really hide the fact that he didn't feel comfortable. His position had moved from being relaxed back on the sofa to being perched on the very edge, his hands clasped between his thighs. He wasn't even looking at the telly, his eyes were focused on the table in front, glazed and glossy as his mind ran over other things. His train of thought was broken by Auden speaking and he quickly looked to her, only for her speech to be cut off by the doorbell. He exhaled heavily, following her with his eyes to the door as she got the pizza. He stood up and walked to the kitchen, grabbing a glass from the cupboard and proceeded to fill it up. He needed a drink as his throat had suddenly gone very dry. He wasn't sure why but he knew what was probably coming from Auden.

Aislin's eyebrow lifted as he took her hand that had been busy in his hair. Although the alcohol hadn't done much to give her face some colour, the blush that she felt creeping up her neck sure would. She pulled her hand slowly away from him before turning to look into the pond. She frowned as she felt the familiar feeling she'd gotten around him, returning in the pit of her stomach. She questioned where it was that he wanted to go. Most likely back to his, and to do what? That was when she remembered their small arrangement and how despite having accepted the rules of friends with benefits, she felt used and stupid at the end of it. It was enough to cause her to push the annoying feeling away as she stood straight and shook her head. "Max is probably looking for me." She said as she turned away from him and walked back into the direction of the party.

Auden thanked the delivery man before shutting the door behind him and locking it. Turning around, she heard the clinking coming from the kitchen and frowned to find TJ had gotten up from the sofa. She walked over to the coffee table and placed the pizza box down carefully. The interruption had knocked her down a few pegs and now she was doubtful of whether or not she should proceed in telling him how she felt. She grabbed the remote control and walked over to the single chair that was positioned near the sofa. As she took a seat, she frowned as she remembered the reason why she rarely sat in the chair. It was highly uncomfortable. With the remote, she pressed the channel button and surveyed each channel for ten seconds before switching again.

Cole knew he was a goner as she puled her hand away from and frowned. His stomach turned hot and he wanted to just run away. Only he felt completely rooted to her and didn't once look away from her face. He could literally see the cogs in her head turning as she thought about it, finally getting an answer as she shook her head. He frowned and looked down as she turned away from him and headed back toward the house. He reached his hand up and ran it through his hair. He felt stupid and embarrassed and angry. Nothing at all was going his way now. He'd lost Aislin to Max, he couldn't talk to Auden now because of earlier and he daresn't intrude on Katia and Alex's little happy engagement bubble. Was there any point in even mentioning TJ? He felt completely alone as he walked to the love seat and sat down, resting his head back and closed his eyes.

TJ drank the whole glass in one go as he stood there, wiping his mouth before filling it up again. He moved his head from shoulder to shoulder, cracking and stretching his neck as it had suddenly gone tense. He took another sip as he walked back out to the living room, where Auden was now sat on the single chair. He held up the glass and placed it on the table.
"Sorry, I was thirsty." He sat back down on the sofa and picked up a slice. She didn't speak but just watched the telly, not continuing what she had started earlier which only made TJ's stomach squirm even more. He finished the first slice before deciding to just continue it himself. "So, what were you gonna say before the pizza arrived?" He turned to face her, giving her his full attention.

Walking through the rooms, Aislin chewed on her lip as she looked around for Max. Everything about the party had started to take a toll on her and she felt completely annoyed by the scene. When she didn't find him, she shook her head and decided against searching for him. Her next obstacle was breaking through the people who surrounded the front door. Once out of the door, she dug her hands into her pocket before stepping down the stairs and walking down the pavement. She sighed deeply, knowing it would be a long walk home.

Auden tried to fix herself on the chair so that she felt comfy however every effort landed in her feeling more squished. That was until her body faced the television and her legs slumped over the armrest. She smiled a little as she felt accomplished. Her smile soon dropped when TJ asked her to continue with what it was that she wanted to say. For a minute she wondered if it was worth it and if their relationship didn't need renewal. With their constant arguing and physical fights, was it even worth it? Then she thought about how it felt when she wasn't with him. How she couldn't think straight and how she felt lonely. But as she sat there, her words weren't forming properly and she doubted that she had the ability of giving him some sort of moving speech.
"I want to be with you again."

~just gonna leave la la cole now~

TJ frowned a little and then bowed his head slowly, nodding. He wasn't sure what to say yet. Or what to do. He wanted to be with her, yes. A huge part of him wanted to. But there was also that other part, that should have been insignificant compared to the other, that held him back. He still carried that huge weight around, that sadness from when she cheated. How hurt and betrayed he had felt, he'd never really gotten over it. She was here though, finally. Despite his reluctance, he knew he wanted her back as well, that she'd never hurt him again. He looked up to meet her eyes, exhaling with a small smile as he nudged his head to gesture for her to come over to him.

Auden watched as he smiled, her stomach jumping a bit. She felt confused almost. When he gestured for her to come over to him, she was hesitant. What if he was only giving her false hope before telling her to fuck off. She let out a pinned up breath before nodded. She moved her legs from around the arm of the chair and went over to him, sitting down on the table so that she faced him. As she sat there she felt the weight of everything. From the possibility of being pregnant to cheating and losing him, it all seemed to hit her at the same moment. Before she could stop them, tears fell from her eyes and she sat there feeling completely shocked. "I'm sorry, I really am." She bent over and hid her face as she tried to collect herself, feeling dumb for crying when she was the one who had hurt him.

TJ smiled as she began crying and attempted to hide it. He shook his head and rolled her eyes, as if she were just being silly. Although a small part of him was glad to see her upset. It only cemented the idea that she wasn't going to do it again. He reached out to her and moved her face up, wiping the tears that had fallen down her face.
"Stop crying, you idiot." He smirked a little, shaking his head, as he stood up and gathered her quickly into his arms. He held her incredibly tight, as if afraid she were about to just poof into a cloud of smoke and disappear again. He pressed his lips to her head and closed his eyes, burying his face into her hair. "Don't ever fucking hurt me again, okay? I won't be able to forgive you again."

Aislin couldn't answer him vocally being that she was too caught up on how amazing he was for having forgiven her. She smiled into his shirt before nodding her head. Her arms wrapped loosely around his waist, enjoying the familiarity of everything. Once the tears had ceased falling, she buried her face into his chest and sighed quietly.
