"Did you want to walk around a bit?" A nurse from before stopped outside the door and pointed towards the corridor. Monty gave him a wide smile.

Living in a sorority was fun at times, horrible mostly. At least she wasn't lonely, that would've been worse. Hearing people talk outside the door was comforting. 

Dean soon realized he would need something else than a nasty piece of cloth over his eye. He stepped of the bus and awkwardly entered the supermarket. It felt as if the people at the supermarket could tell that he had been in a hospital. The eye-patch did kinda give it away, but still. He was so used to barely being noticed. The only thing he could, and wanted, to use to cover his cloth up could be found in the children's section. 
"Perfect", He mumbled as he happily paid the five dollars he had to pay for a super-tacky pirate eye patch. He proudly walked out of the store, knowing he looked like someone who missed Halloween by like, half a year.

In the end his conscience got the better of him and he decided against it. It wouldn't be cool to the other students.
His grandpa had lent him his old camera, which while not optimal did work, so he was heading out to take some photos.

Dean was quiet on his way home, it dawned on him that he had lost his phone in the accident, and buying a new one would be completely out of question. He was stupid for not getting insured, but he hadn't exactly planned on being a victim of an explosion. He muttered loudly as he opened the dorm-room, where his roommate seemed oddly eager to see him. As if he had come home from an amazing party, and his roommate wanted all the gossip. 
"What happened to your eye?"
"It's, uh, I'm blind, I guess?" Dean responded.
"Neat", Was his roommate's response. Neat. Yeah, not the way Dean would describe it personally. 
"I read about it. Some guy named Samuel lost his leg, you know." He said. Well,  that sounded much more horrible in Dean's opinion. 
"But aren't you kinda stoked though?", His roommate said as Dean sat down on his bed. 
"Why would I be stoked? I'm a fucking pirate." Dean said. 
"Well, aren't you gonna sue the shit out of the school? And the lab?" His roommate asked. Dean hadn't even thought about that. 
"Rowan from economics was in the accident. Her parent's are suing, I mean, they are already a rich family but she'll be set for life. She can drop out of college right now, that money's gonna last a lifetime. And you'll get money too, everyone affected by the accident is included", His roommate recited, whilst reading off his phone. Dean's jaw dropped. Money. From this? Was it completely inappropriate to feel kinda happy?

(That’s a great idea! I mean, I was thinking Rowan’s parents get Rowan to gather the people affected by the accident to prepare for court, maybe then the school gets money from the government to settle (make a deal that is NOT in any way good/profitable for them, as well as much higher than they wanted, which is suspicious) and on top of that offer them a trip? 

Idk how eager the kids would be to go on a trip after what happened thought but hey, logic isn’t always needed)

(We can do whatever but I think we just need a timeskip where they're together)
