TJ shook his head and rolled his eyes. He didn't think he was that bad, he just preferred to drive fast. Yes, that meant the risk of head on collisions at every turn but at least you got places a lot quicker. He nodded his head as she said she was fine. He knew she wasn't because how could she be? According to the pregnancy test, they had a baby on the way. Something TJ and Auden weren't planning for a good few years. He had no idea what fatherhood was going to be like and it, frankly, scared the shit out of him. Once they were there, he took off his seat belt and got out the car. He brushed himself down and straightened out his jacket before walking to the hospital doors with her. He snaked his fingers into hers loosely, walking toward the receptionist at the entrance. He figured he'd just let her talk, considering it was her appointment.
Cole's eyes widened as Jade began to moan loudly, her head tipping back as it escaped from her mouth. A grin formed quickly as he heard Aislin's awkward throat clearing before she spoke. He began to laugh and turned around so he wasn't facing her anymore, listening as Aislin proposed dinner with them. He raised his eyebrow slowly. "Dinner? Uh... what for, exactly?" He felt it was pretty out of the blue and random. She rejected him yesterday so he'd got the message that there wasn't going to be anything between them, was this just another way to drive that message home? Flaunt her new boyfriend right under his nose, under the illusion that it was just a chance for everyone to be friends? Well. Two could play at that game. He looked back over his shoulder at Jade and grinned wryly. "Oh, it doesn't matter. Jade and I would love to have dinner, sounds cool, I guess."
Max stepped into the shower and washed himself, scrubbing his hair with shampoo and then washing his body with shower gel. He stood for many minutes with his head tipped back against the water, letting it drill into the back of his head. He found it relaxing, one of the only times in the day where he felt he could think about things without worrying about interruptions. Once he felt ready to get out, he switched the water off and stepped out. He rubbed his head with the towel to dry his hair, combing his fingers through it to straighten it out once he finished.
Katia didn't even answer Cara, her eyes focused ahead on the doors as she walked in with them both. She watched as Cara walked ahead to the desk to get the paperwork, feeling Alex's hand move into her own as they walked to the chairs to sit down. She looked at the women in there, some alone and some with partners. She smiled a little as the same small came toddling over, a block inside his clenched hand. He was beautiful, with a mop of floppy brown hair. He was looking at Alex, his body facing him, but Alex just waved him off. Katia raised her eyebrows a little, since the appearance of the boy didn't seem to spark anything in him. She looked away to watch someone else as the boy wandered off again. It was probably just a woman's thing to be infatuated with small children that aren't even your own. Men didn't seem to bother much with children, especially young men like Alex. She had thought that might have changed with the news.
