Once she had finished her own milkshake she placed it into the nearby bin before coming back to him and standing close to him, "only one afternoon? what if I want you for the evening as well." the way his eyes changed around her was enough to finish her and she slipped her arms around his neck and pressed a single kiss to his lips but she didn't let her arms fall straight away.

Connor would have ran away with Gabbie in a heartbeat, abandoned his tribe and everything else just to be with this woman. A small smirk formed on his lips as she ran her tongue along his thumb but he nodded his head, "good it's for both of our sakes," he laughed. as she got herself comfortable he wrapped an arm around her waist loosely to hold her close to him. This was what happiness was always meant to be and he let his eyes close so that his other senses could take her all in and that's when he heard it, twigs breaking and gentle rustling. They weren't alone. Swiftly and silently he turned them over so that Gabbie was lying under him and he pressed a finger to his lips before speaking into her mind, someone is below.

Gabbie was enjoying the blissful moment as they lay there together, and without their lips touching now she was just about managing to cool herself down and being under the blanket, it just made her feel cosy and safe and she could even feel herself nodding off. That was until he turned them over and a very small gasp fell from her lips, his large frame hanging over her and she had to admit it was a little scary at first, like he’d had a second decision made but then he spoke into her mind and she put her own finger to her lips, her eyes widening. Who the hell was around here? This was Connor and D’s secret place, no one else was supposed to know about this. She felt fear tingling through her and she spoke back to him. Be careful. She knew he’d go and investigate.

Connor had moved so instinctively that he hadn't even considered that he might have scared Gabbie but her increased heart rate told him he had, even just a little bit. That was something he could apologise for later and as he moved his finger away from his lips he nodded his head. Moving away from Gabbie entirely he edged to the side of the treehouse, pleading his ears to pick up any sound. The footsteps were growing closer, it was definitely only one person. shit he thought to himself, they might have seen the motorbike. He really had been reckless but love will do that to you. Peaking his head around the entrance he looked down and thats when he saw his father below them. Instantly he loosened up and focused his mind to his fathers, what are you doing here?

Karl had just been out on his daily walk, something he did often now. He had a lot of spare time on his hands now that both of his sons had left the nest and the fact that his tribe had basically been destroyed. His life wasn’t panning out how he thought it would and he was disappointed. He’d spotted the motorbike and straight away he had recognised it. That damn death trap, he hated how Connor relied on it so much and even worse, taking that poor Angel girl on the back of it too. He had tried to tread carefully but the damn branches were not on his side and he got closer to the treehouse, looking up to see Connor looming over and he smiled, just a little bit, before frowning. I could ask you the same, this isn’t your territory any more.

Connor shifted so that he could see his father properly and a whole range of emotions went through his body. The last time he had seen his dad in human form had been almost half a year ago now but the last time in wolf form was just before he was attacked. "you aren't calling for back up though are you father?" he said with a cheeky grin as he swiftly jumped down from the treehouse, landing in front of his father. "I'm glad you listened to my warning during the battle, neither of us wanted you to get hurt but Dymitrius couldn't exactly say that considering his new position." he laughed lightly before pulling his dad in for a hug.

Karl felt actually really emotional, to see his youngest son. He stepped back and grinned at him, shaking his head. “Who is there to call?” He asked. Connors tribe had destroyed almost everyone and there wasn’t anyone that Karl could really depend on now, which was a shame. But maybe it was best, it would mean he could live a quiet and tame life now. He hugged his son tightly, holding him in his arms longer than necessary but family was so important. “I have to tell you.. I regret ever letting you become exhaled.. neither you nor Dymitrius deserved it. I wish there was a way to accept you back.” He smiled. “You’ll have to congratulate him for me. I always knew he could do it, that boy of mine.”

Connor felt sorry for this father, his tribe had really taken a beating and with Emmanuel and Michael dead they had no leadership at all. Right now they were more like lost lambs than werewolves. "We knew you would grow to miss us eventually," he said with a laugh, but it meant a lot to hear his dad admit that he regretted standing by and doing nothing. "Maybe you could congratulate him yourself.. he's actually got some other big news that I'll let him tell you himself." Pausing a smile formed back on his face, "Actually, I have some pretty big news as well. Gabbie and I are engaged, and I was really hoping that you'd want to come to the wedding..."

I know I left it on bad terms with him, and I’m an enemy after all. I don’t think an alpha would want a traitor on his territory.” He let out a little laugh, but his whole face lit up when Connor told him the brilliant news and he hugged him again. “My boy! I would be honoured to be there..” he looked up through the gap to see Gabbie peaking over and he chuckled. “Hello Gabriella. Long time no see.” He told her.

If he was able to have Luna join our tribe after being so closely connected with Emmanuel he has no reason not to let you join us!" When his fathers arms wrapped around him again he felt another wave of emotions and he gave his father a squeeze hug, trying to contain all the emotions he was feeling. "That would mean the world to me dad," he said before looking up at the treehouse and grinning up at Gabbie before climbing up to the top to then take her down to the ground with him. "I was just telling my father our food news." he said with a bright smile, it was nice to see his father being so civil towards her.

I bet there’s so much that’s been happening.” He chuckled, watching as he boroughs Gabbie back down, he didn’t know why they were up there and honestly, he didn’t want to think about it. And he had to be civil, Connor was obviously serious about her, if he was marrying her. He’d assumed it had just been a silly fling or something at first, seeing an angel as a challenge.

Gabbie felt her cheeks go a little bit pink when Karl spotted her and she waved, shuffling away when Connor came up and brought her back down, landing steadily on her feet. She didn’t really know where she stood with him. Would he just be passing information back to her mother or something? She didn’t know how much she could trust him. But Connor seemed more than happy to talk to him which meant Gabbie had to be okay with it too. “Yeah.. we would have told you sooner but we really didn’t know whether you’d want to be invited or not. But my father will be there.. too.. “ she didn’t actually know how many people were aware of who her father was but by the look on Karl’s face, he certainly did.

"I'll have a word with him tonight about it and see what we can do.. but you might need to leave this territory, at least until the war is done." He turned to look at Gabbie as she spoke, giving her his full attention as she spoke and he nodded his head a little at what she was saying. Turning back to his father he could tell by the look on his face that he was shocked and he couldn't help but laugh, "Her dad isn't as scary as you think, I've actually been down there, to Hell, and spoken to him." he ran a hand through his hair, "and he also saved my life. I got pretty badly beaten up during the battle but he managed to put me back together."

Karl gulped, rubbing the back of his neck. The rumour of gabbies dad being lucifer had travelled far and fast around the neighbourhood and it had made a lot of people fear her mother too. But then Connor began to speak and he couldn’t believe what his son had just said. “I did see you get injured, I wanted to help you, but I would have gotten myself killed and that would have just been awful for you too. You’ve lost your mother, I can’t have you losing me, I’ve still got a lot of life left.” He grinned. “Okay well you speak to Mighty for me, you still have my number right?” He looked around, for any suspicious eyes watching. “I should get going, and so should you. Look after yourself.” And with that, he jogged off.

Gabbie nodded her head at everything Connor said. Her dad wasn’t scary at all, in fact she trusted him a hell of a lot more than she trusted her mother. “He’s just a normal man. He just gets control of people’s worst nightmares too, that’s all.” She laughed, looking up at Connor. “That’s right, you need to ring him anyway so maybe we should just pop round and talk to him?” She suggested, this was the most talkative she’d been with Connor for a long time. She waved Karl off and then turned to Connor, taking his hands and giving him a little smile. “Well at last it wasn’t a complete enemy.”

Luna let her fingers trail along his chest and her mind began to wonder back to just moments ago until his hand touched her skin and she came back to reality. Hearing Dymitrius speak like this made her smile without even realising it and as he sat up she moved her hand up to his cheek and let out a soft laugh, "if only your tribe could hear you right now, Alpha Diamond all sweet and soppy for his companion." she pressed a kiss against his lips before pulling back and just gazing into his eyes for a moment or two before the sound of knocking filled their home and she pouted just a little bit, "we never can just have an evening of peace can we." She just presumed it was some sort of tribe nonsense but never the less she slid off the bed and pulled her skirt and crop top back on, ruffling her hair up so that the curls had volume but didn't look quite as messy as before.

Gabbie held into him firmly as he rode along, she felt much safer and calmer around him and it was nice, that she didn’t feel like flinching whenever he moved a little fast or that he wasn’t about to break out into a growl and snap her neck. She jumped off the bike and then took his hand, walking up to the door with him, she gave him a reassuring smile. “I don’t know why you’re so worried for.. you’re brothers, you’re allowed to fight.” But she’d never had that with her brother, he was always superior to her, it was just the way it was Gabbie knew her place in her family home and that was at the bottom of the pile. She lifted her head when D opened the door, giving him one of her best angelic smiles. “Connor just has a few things he wants to say..”

She wanted to check in with her because she was concerned about the way Connor had been acting plus she didn't want to be around Connor right now.

Connor shrugged his shoulders when Gabbie said she didn't understand why he was worried, "D knows how to hold a grudge and I'm pretty sure I managed to hit every button earlier on." As the door opened he turned his head to meet his brothers gaze and, as expected, he was already being growled at. "That's no way to great your brother," he said with a small chuckle, shoving his hands into his pockets as Gabbie spoke, "yeah I owe you an explanation or whatever so I was hoping we could talk." And as he spoke Luna appeared beside his brother and there was a smell lingering over her body which drew him in so he forced his gaze back onto his brother. The last thing he needed was his hellish side to come out before he had even gotten a chance to apologise for anything.
