Daisy was curled up in a tiny ball on the ground of Brent's bedroom cold and hungry from lack of food yesterday. Her arm in agony. 

Adam had a peaceful sleep, without having to hear too much of the traffic noise. He felt sun rays pour in through the bottom of the curtains. He opened his eyes to find Lexi right against his body and he couldn't help but smile to himself. She had admitted she felt the same - how was he not gonna feel happy.
