He slung his arm around her shoulders as they headed back and in no time at all they were back at their front door. Swinging the door open, he lifted her up into his arms, pressing his lips to her cheek as he headed inside with her, kicking his boots off and taking her upstairs. “I think you deserve a bath after all the work your legs have done today.” He smiled, cupping her face in his hand and kissing her gently. He reached for the faucet and let the water run, adding in some bubbles and a bath bomb for her too. “Do you want me to cook dinner?” He asked her. It was quite late but he was starving. They mean they’d had while they were out hadn’t quite hit the spot.

Gabbie laughed at how excited he got over the food but even she had to admit she was beginning to feel starving, that double helping of bacon really hadn’t touched the sides this morning. Everyone turned when he yelled for lunch but that just made her giggle more and she punched her hand in the air. “LUNCH!” She shouted along with him, walking back to the car she jumped in, bringing her hand up to touch the end of her nose, gasping. “Well at least it’s back on my face now, whoever stole it earlier obviously reconsidered.” She teased, crossing one leg over the other and settling in her seat as he began to drive back. Pulling out her map, her tongue running along her bottom lip. “Yeah if you carry on up this big road there’s a little bistro we can head to.” She told him.

The pair of them were laughing away at how ridiculous their excitement was but Connir always loved meal times. It was the highlight of his day at times. "They were far too generous, I would have kept it hidden from you for much longer than that." he teased. As he drove out of the car park he slowly made his way back the way they had come until she found somewhere to go and he folliwed the directions there. "Shit I've just remembered I never checked in with D, he was meant to be with sasha to find out about whether or not they are having a boy or girl! Don't let me forget yo call him."

Gabbie gasped at him. “That’s is mean of you, I can’t believe you’d hide my cute little nose from me for so long.” He tutted, following the map and directing him, but it was literally only ten minutes down a straight road so he could manage without her for a little while. Instead she stared out the window, taking in the barren fields that past them. It intrigued her, what kind of supernatural beings lived here, how they survived during the cold months. If fascinated her. She turned her head back and gasped. “Oh my god I can’t believe she didn’t even message me and tell me! I need to know whether I’m having a niece or nephew.” She grinned.

Connor was enjoying driving this car, though it had nothing on his beloved motorbike but at some point he would have to consider investigating in a reliable car for when they started their family. But that wasn't going to be for another few years he guessed, though seeing his brothers kid made him a little broody. "Maybe she wants to give you a grand reveal or something?" He said with a chuckle as he pulled up into his third carpark of the day and they both hoped out and hurried inside.

Gabbie felt much safer in the car, as much as she loved the adrenaline on the back of his bike, she felt much safer here and plus this was a jeep, so they were a bit higher up too and she felt like a little bit of a giant. “Ooooh maybe she’s doing a gender reveal party! That would be so exciting. Now I definitely need to know, I have so many cute outfits planned for this baby and it’s not even born yet.” She laughed. Babies were the cutest things ever in Gabbies eyes, and if it were scientifically and financially possible, she’d have a million babies to look after. She hurried inside after him and looked around, it was like a traditional pub in the way it was set and they were shown to a table immediately. She shrugged her coat off, picking up the menu.

I don't really know where thry stand with each other but I'm glad D is trying this time rather than running away" he didn't want to comment too much on his brothers passed interactions. Once they were sat down and his jacket was over the chair he was digging straight into the menu and had decided on a mixture of meals to keep him going. Tugging his phone out of his trouser pocket he read his brothers message, well ill have you know i stood on two different continets today so might as well call me alpha now. Meant to ask ..... am I getting to know the big deets about your baby or you keeping hushed.

Gabbie thought about it for a while but then shook her head. “You’re right, I know they’re being civil now but I don’t think they’re quite on friendly terms are they.” She let out a little laugh, her eyes scrolling the menu and everything sounded so good but what really caught her attention was the ribs. A whole rack of ribs with some fries on the side. It had her mouth watering. “I think I’ve really worked up an appetite today, you’ll have some competition if I keep this up.” He joked, ordering them a jug of water to share and then she ordered her ribs and fries.. with an extra side of onion rings too. Connor ordered his and then the waitress whisked away. “Okay so we’ve got the ice cave, and then we can head back and then see the church. I do have a surprise for tomorrow though.” She told him.
