okay, i'll just start 
Rose was huddled by the fire with a few other people she'd discovered. Somehow they'd all managed to survive despite the lack of food and the fact there was danger everywhere. The land was empty, cold and forgotten and the traces of human life lay around them everywhere. It was awful. She shivered a little with the cold wind and moved closer to the fire, desperately trying to get some warmth in her body. She didn't know about everybody else but she'd imagined herself dead a few times .. being dead would be alot better than living like this.
Lyle was creeping through a desert-type terrain. There seemed to be a fire of some sort up ahead and he was on the look-out. Hopefully it would be other surviors. If it was coyotes or cannibals or something like that then he'd walked right into a trap. He held a sharp looking object in his right hand as he crept slowly across the wall of a building. The buildings were still there, everything was still standing but it was like a ghost town. There were no humans left.
