• Question about RP (Please Answer)

I haven't, really, roleplayed ever. I had no chance, haha, so I just learned something about it, and I think that I know the all informations needed but, indeed, there's something that I don't understand.
When we start writing story, should it be continuing, example:

I write something:

Example:  "Anna was in her room when the murder happened. She wanted to stay as calm as she could, unfortunately, she heard the steps. She tried not to scream but it was impossible." Amelie said. "That's the only thing I actually remember about that night".

Now, is the other person going to continue that I started or what? That's the thing that I really don't understand. Please, answer! ♥

I dint quite get what you mean..

but basically, say you and me were roleplaying, I'd have one or so characters and you'd have one or two characters. So I'd type out what I wanted for my characters like

andrea walked into the bathroom and washed her face, getting rid of last nights make up. It had been a rush to get into bed after the wild party she had been to, she needed all the sleep she could get.

benjamin unlocked the front door and slipped through quietly, kicking his trainers off and hooking his jacket up on the door. He threw his keys into the bowl in the sideboard and headed into the kitchen, grabbing himself a smoothie.

and then in your post you'd put what your characters are doing and if wanted interact with my characters, but you never try and take control of another persons characters. If you read through a few roleplays on here it will make more sense.

basically you and another person/multiple people write a story together. so in your example, I could perhaps continue it like;;

The detective scribbled down the exact words of the young girl, when she stopped talking he looked up at her with a raised brow "That's all?"

In conclusion: you take turns in writing and eventually make up a whole plot and stuff ^^" if you try to control other characters people get pissed though, so interact but don't take over!
