so basically, last night i felt really down about my aunt margaret who passed away a few years ago due to cancer. so, i decided to try and write a poem to express my feelings.
this is what i ended up with.

*sorry but it's quite long, so i will post it 2/3 stanza's a time*

when i look into the sky at night,

i look upon the stars so bright,

and the one that always catches my eye,

i know the reason, exactly why.

i know for fact that star is you,

and everything i long to do,

to make you happy, proud, of me,

for chasing my heart and following my dreams.

one day i hope that i can be,

shining as bright as you do for me.

you were taken before i had a chance,

to make life-long memories, that will last.

of course we made the one or two,

but they will never capture you,

just as well as i knew we could,

that i hoped together, that we once would.
