That would be a loveless marriage in more ways than one.

Colton walked out onto the dance floor to have the ceremonial first dance as husband and wife. He had to admit, Mikayla was a beautiful woman, but if it weren't forced, he wasn't so sure he would have married someone like her. Sure, she was the picture perfect princess, always obeying her parents and never doing anything wrong. Maybe that's what he didn't like about her, she hadn't seen any adventure. Or maybe it was because he had grown up, being groomed to hate the country by everyone but his parents. They had always said good things about the country, maybe it was because he would go into this marriage with an open mind, but no such luck.

He still wasn't sure if Eleanor even liked him, or if she was just doing it because she was forced to. He hoped she liked him, since he thought she was the prettiest girl he'd ever seen, plus he thought she was nice, so far. He wondered whether this whole thing would work out.
