Mia stood in the entry for a bit her mother had promised to pick her up and for once she really believed her mother would come and get her. A half hour passed and she slipped on her coat and her hood and started walking. Luckily, she had rain boots on. And the walk wasn't that far. She walked as the rain poured down onto her body, she was getting soaked and cursed her mother's name under her breath as she walked the streets.

Scotty had just finished grading some papers that the students handed in a week ago. They were getting on his case about getting them back and he promised that he would give them back the next day. He slipped all the papers into his bag and grabbed everything that he would need to bring home. He looked outside his window and groaned, he hated driving in the rain. He slipped on his coat and walked out and to his car, rushing to get in so he wasn't wet.
