The bell for the end of the day rang and i jumped out of my seat with my long platinum blonde hair flowing behind me, as I tried to beat the hallway traffic. I was almost at my locker when the Halls got so jammed up it was almost like rush hour. Kimberly High School was over populated. The classroom held up to 50 people and the halls held 60 people and there were at least 6 classes in each section of the school. I shoved my way roughly through the crowd getting dirty looks from all the kids and remarks like, "whoa can you walk any faster?" and "Ow she pushed me. Can you believe that?" I got to my locker and quickly put in my combination, 24, 06, 30.

I packed up my homework in my bag and put it over my shoulder and grabbed my I-pod and inserted the fake diamond stud ear pieces in my ears and blasted Mr.Know it all by Kelly Clarkson. I locked my locker up and shoved past everybody and out to the buses. there had to be at least 50 buses. I made my way to bus 23 and got on and sat in the very back. The bus ride home was a very awkward one until the fourth stop bus when this geeky kid that was coughing and sniffling the whole bus ride home that sat beside me got up. Two stops later i got off and headed down the street and turned the corner and got to my house to see the door knocked down and the windows all smashed. I slowly approached my house and walked in and called out, "MOM?? You here?" I heard a crash from upstairs and mad my way upstairs to investigate.

"Mom, its my Chloe!" I said as I slowly walked up the stairs. I heard some crashes coming from my mothers room. I reached the top of the stairs and saw the sword on the wall and grabbed one just in case something or somebody was in there. there have been a few disappearances lately. Especially in my neighborhood. the police told us it was a wild animal of some sort attacking people and dragging them off into the woods and eating the people alive. I slowly opened my mother's bedroom door and screamed at the top of lungs. There was blood on the floor, Blood on the ceiling, blood everywhere. It looked like a blood bomb went off in here. 

"Jason, Chloe. You both know about those creatures. Do you not?" I nodded.

"They attacked my mother and father last night so of course I know about them" he said in a deep, s3xy voice and added while looking at me, "And Chloe. Don't worry Alexandra wasn't hurt. She was at dance."

I smiled, "That is good then. So what did you tell her about your parents?"

"That they were abducted. He," he pointed at the mayor, "made me swear not to tell anybody anything and to tell my sister they were abducted."

"Chloe, Jason, you two must swear not to tell anybody anybody about the creatures and what I'm about to tell you two."

"I swear" Jason and I said in sync.

"We don't know how the creatures developed," He began, "But we do know a single bite with morph you into those creatures you both saw. Once you have been infected you have no control over your body ever again but we are trying to collect all the infected creatures and find a cure. I just wanted to know if you would like to be trained to find these creatures and capture them without being bitten."

"Dude, of course I will, I'm always in for some action." Jason said excitedly.

"Great Jason. What about you Chloe?"

"I guess but Will I be able to see my father. I want to make some apologies to him" I said silently.

The mayor spoke in a very professional way, "Of course. Your father is actually waiting for you outside."

"May I go see him now? Please," I asked in a very sweet way .

"In a minute. You both will be staying with Chloe's Father as he can protect you best. The creatures will be coming after both of you since you have seen them. Mr. Winters is trying to come up with a cure and has a lot of security and warriors that will be able to protect you all." He added, "You both may go see him now."

"Thank you Mr. Mayor." I said and got out of my chair and headed over to see my father, whom I haven't seen in years, with Jason

I walked outside into the office and saw my a man with blonde hair with a little bit of grey sprouting out and a pointy nose and a smile that looked like an agels smile. It was my father standing there all alone. I walked up to him and gave him a big bear hug and said, "I'm sorry for thinking you were a looney and refusing to go see you."

"Oh darling. i knew you would eventually think that. After all you didn't know about the creature yet. I didn't want you to know about them because I didn't want you to be scared and paranoid all the time."

"Do you forgive me daddy?" I asked in a very swet voice.

"Yes I do." he smiled.

"you gunna introduce us Chloe?" Jason asked with a snarky attitude.

I gave him a glare and said, " Jason, Henry. Daddy, Jason"

"Nice to meet you young man." My father said.

"Mhmm. Same," Jason spoke while he texted.

"Uh...Shall we go. My car is out front and you two have training together tomorrow," my fathr saiud and led us out of the arge building out to a beautiful red BMW convertable with snowy white seats.

"It's beautiful!" I exclaimed.

"It was a present from the mayor when I started working on a cure for the infection." We all got in and buckled up and were on our way to his house.

JASONS POV

We got in, slipping straight into the car as the seats were leather. I looked at Chloe. Her hair was blowing behind her as we drove and I swore I could've died and gone to heaven at the sight. She was always beautiful. I had liked her just as a fried but now I was thinking things I normally wouldn't about her. I recently had been thinking of how pretty she looked and such. I hadn't seen her in a while but I sure wsa glad. It was kind of intimidating meeting her dad after him being so-called "Loony". Nobody had believed him, not even myself. That was, of course, until my parent were eaten by that....thing.

"Hey..um..Sir."

"Yes?" Answered her Dad in a somewhat stern voice.

"How long will the training take?"

"About a month...maybe more, maybe less.Why?"

"Oh...no reason. It's just......I don't want any other kid loosing their parents. I just want this to all be over."

"Son...We all do but it's going to take time whether they cause harm to other people or not."

I sighed. It would be terrible if anyone else had to go through this. I wouldn't wish that upon anybody. Well...maybe Alex. But Chloe didn't like him anymore so there wasn't a reason anymore.

JASON’S POV

I grinned when I walked in. Her father walked out of the room before retelling us not to do anything inappropriate. I nodded at him then sat on my bed.

"OH...So this is your room. Nice." I smiled, knowing I had caught her staring at me in the car. Hopefully she was interested in me like I was in her.I looked at her.

"Yep. This is my room."

"Nice." I repeated again. "So um...what do you normally do around here while we're waiting for your dad to finish up with his um...work." I asked, referring to the fact he was trying to create suit that might help repell the creatures.

She shrugged at me. "I normally just play on the computer or whatever."

I nodded slowly."We should play truth or dare." I said, planning for the perfect moment to ask her how she felt.

"Okay."

CHLOE’S POV

I smiled and said, "I haven't played that game in years. So for sure. I miss that game."

"Okay. you go first" Jason said with a sparkle in his eyes.

"Truth or dare Jason?"

"Dare."

I thought about a dare and finally decided on one, "I dare you too pick your nose and eat it. " I smirked and knew this was going to be hilarious.

"Please how about another one. I'll give you a foot massage. Anything but eating a booger."

"Hmmm. I don't know. How about you dance to a really girly song."

"Which one," Jason asked with a worried look on his face.

"You'll see," I said as I grabbed my black CD player and grabbed a CD with Barbie girl on it. I played Barbie girl half way to full blast and said, "Okay. you can dance now."

Jason groaned, "Fine. Don't ever tell anybody about this," and started dancing. I quickly took out my phone while he wasn't looking and video taped the whole thing while I was laughing my but off. i stopped the recording just as Jason turned around.

"This is going on Facebook Jason." I laughed.

"Please no Chloe. Your not that mean. Now are you?"

"I guess not" I sighed and pretended to delete the video.

"Thank you." Jason smiled.

"Your turn."

"Truth or Dare."

"Erm...Truth." I decided

"Hmm...Who do you like?"

"DARE." She said quickly.

"Okay I dare you to tell me who you like."

"Umm..." I glared at him, "Your mean."

"Not always" He argued.

"Yes always."

"Anyways. Just answer the question Chloe"

I shook my head and thought about it, "I don't have a major crush on anybody but I'm developing feelings for somebody right now."

"Just tell me. Its still considered liking somebody" he said in a snarky tone.

I whispered really low, "I don't know if you can handle the truth."

"Oh. I can handle the truth of anything. Now just tell me"he insisted.

"Can you handle the fact your adopted?" I asked trying to change the subject.

Jason groaned, "I'm not adopted. you are and now your making me act like a grade three."

"Good."

"Oh wait. your just trying to change the subject. smart you are Chloe."

"I know,"I smiled an evil smile.

"Tell me."

I sighed and finally gave in and whispered, "I'm starting to like you a little bit."

Jason's POV

I asked her to tell me. She finally gave in.

"I'm starting to like you a little bit."

With those 8 words, my heart started beating fast.

"You're turn." I told her.

"Truth or Dare?" She asked, sounding slightly annoyed.

"Truth."

"How do you feel about what I just said?"

I blushed."I...I like you too." I told her quietly.

"What?"

I sighed and spoke up louder, repeating what I just said and I was glad to see her face break out into a smile

CHLOE’S POV

I smiled as he said he liked me. I couldn't believe he liked me. I did not want to start dating him yet because my crush on him was just developing and I had to talk to my best friend Alexandra about it. After all Jason was my best friends brother. Just then my dad walked in to check on us.

"You two should get to bed because you have training tomorrow at six in the morning," I father told us.

"Okay." I said and grabbed my Pj's and went in the washroom and changed. I came out an Jason wasn't there. I figured he was in the other washroom.

I went and got on my bed and pulled the cover over top of her. She loved her silky purple blanket with sparkles on it. I put my head on my purple pillow. I had just closed my eyes when Jason had walked in and gotten into bed.

That night I dreamed of Jason for the first time and what it would be like to be together.

NEXT DAY

My dream was interrupted by a screaming bell. I opened my eyes and looked over at an alarm clock my father had set. It was 5:30 in the morning. I sat up and and turned it off. I looked over at Jason who was sound asleep on his bed. So I grabbed a CD and put my CD player by his ear and put on girly music and blasted it. I laughed as he jumped up and glared at me as I turned it off.

"Ooops" I said with a grin.

"Why did you wake me up. "

"We have training silly," I laughed. I went and got a black tank and grey sweat pants and walked into the washroom and changed. I walked out and looked at Jason who was just pulling on his shirt. He was really muscular.

"What are you looking at?" Jason asked as he pulled on a white, tight muscle shirt that showed off his six pack.

"Nothing." I said

"Chloe. Just tell me. Please?" he begged.

"Okay well I never realized you were so muscular." I admitted with some shame. I'd seen him shirtless before. I'd even seen seen hi9m in his boxers at Alexandra's birthday party which was not a pretty sight.

"Oh. Well maybe you started realizing because I'm so hot." he smirked.

"No."

"So I'm not hot?" He said sadly.

"I never said that!" I said maybe a little to quickly.

"So I am hot?"

"I never said that." I tried not to smile

"But do you?" he asked.

"We have to go downstairs."

"Whatever. Change the subject. Your just a little brat." He rolled his eyes at me obviously upset by the fact I never told him he was hot but I also didn't say he wasn't. The truth was that I didn't know. i was just starting to like him and how could I say I thought my best friends brother was hot but how could I not? It was a confusing thing for me.

So we headed downstairs to where some of the warriors or guards what ever you want to call them sat waiting for us.

The one stood up, "Miss Fox. Mr Rivers We will bring you to the training camp located at a top secret location that we may not tell you." Jason and I headed out to the Limo parked out front that had tinted windows and was black.
