olive took another sip of the sweet coffee and nodded, slowly removing the hand from her forehead. "i'm alright, morning to you too", her eyes slowly met his as she blindly smiled. she motioned him to come towards her face and she patted his hair down, "you looked like alfalfa. with all that hair sticking up." she laughed a bit under her breath, standing up and going to the fridge to get some yogurt. she peeled back the lid and picked up a spoon from one of the drawers, "so, why was i sleeping in your bed and not the couch?" she questioned him, sitting back down upon the bar stool and staring at him with discontent. see, the truth was, she knew if she let david in he could be someone she could potentially love, but with tony in the back of her mind, and the remembrance of him it couldn't happen. tony was her ex-boyfriend, now i guess, he'd died in a car accident about 4 years back. she faded off, thinking about him, and then snapped back, looking back at david.
oli felt a vibration from his back pocket and set down the orange juice, grinning like a fool, hoping it was who he wanted it to be. unlocking the phone, he replied, 'of course, whenever you want! xo', hoping the xo wasn't too much. he put the carton back into the fridge and sighed, slumping down on the couch and turning on the television to the morning news. what else was there to watch? he sipped the juice in intervals, realizing how absolutely lonely he had become. lacura came by and hopped up, snuggling on oli's lap.
