Christine ran a comb through her wet hair as she rushed out of the shower. She was late for school, which meant that her family probably already left to work and school. She sighed, trying to put together an outfit for the day. She quickly just grabbed a light wash pair of jeans and a cream colored sweater. She wasn't up for trying today, and honestly she couldn't wait to just get back home that day after school and sleep. Christine didn't bother applying any makeup, she was too busy worrying about how to get to school. She quickly grabbed her stuff and ran downstairs. Sure enough, everyone was gone. Her mom left a note for her, reading that she could just take the school bus that day. Christine rolled her eyes, knowing that she would never step foot on the bus. It was smelly and filled with annoying freshmen. Even though she was a sophomore, she was friends with juniors and seniors, so freshman year seemed ages ago. She sighed again and locked the front door behind her. Suddenly, she remembered that she could just carpool with Tyson who was her long-time friend and neighbor. She smiled a bit and walked over to his house, knocking on the front door.

Lewis sat down at the dining room table with an apple and a piece of toast. He normally didn't have breakfast, but he just randomly decided to actually eat that day. He had his phone next to him, so he started checking his messages and social media sites. He had one message from a guy friend of his, featuring a photo of Aria and some junior guy getting pretty frisky at a party. He frowned a bit and took a deep breath. He continued eating his breakfast while he thought of Aria. All of a sudden, she seemed like such an adult when it felt like last year, she was almost like his little sister. He remembered all of their childhood games, the way they used to think that they were superheroes saving the tome. But now, here she was, basically slutting it up with some son of bitch. She at least deserved better; she deserved someone who actually knew all of the little quirks about her. Like the fact that she took exactly three packets of sugar, no more no less, in her coffee. Or that she has an obsession with animals because her grandmother was part of an animal rescue team. He sighed and deleted the message, not wanting that picture on his phone at all. It was too much for him to see. He didn't want to admit to himself, but he knew deep down that he actually had feelings for Aria now. And more than just a friend, of course.

Aria groaned as she heard her alarm clock go off, as she sat up in her bed pulling onto her lap she saw she had a bunch of facebook notifications. She couldn't help but laugh as she saw pictures of last Friday night had been uploaded. She changed her profile picture to one of her and a few of her girlfriends and commented on a few pictures before deciding to get out of bed. She put her Iphone on the dock and started to play some music. She slipped on some leggings and a big red sweater and started to do her makeup. She started to braid her hair and put it in a bun. It was a monday, she wasn't in the mood to really do her hair, she just wanted to be comfy. She grabbed her phone and her bag and walked into the kitchen, her parents were already gone making it a plus. She grabbed an apple and slipped on some nice flats and walked over to Lewis' house. She knocked on the door a few times before walking. She said hello to his father who was about to leave for work, she walked in the kitchen and hugged him from behind "There's my best friend!" She giggle and politely said no thank you to his mom who offered her some breakfast. She sat beside him, she could tell that something was wrong with him "Are you okay?" She said softly, trying not to alarm his mother in any way. She wondered why he wasn't replying to her, he just sat there in silence. Once his mother left the room she looked at him "Lewis...are you mad at me? Have I done something to make you mad?"

Tyson sat in his bed, he knew he should be getting ready for school, but he couldn't. He was texting one of his friends about how at the last party Christine had thrown herself at a guy, luckily they had only made out. Her friends made sure not to let anything get out of hand. he sighed and ran a hand through his hair as he slipped off his shirt. He was uncomfortably hot in his room. He decided not to go to school that day. Since he was 18, he was legible to call it in and that is what he did. He heard a knock at his door, he noticed the time and knew it was Christine coming over and asking him to drive her to school. He sighed and managed to get out of bed. Leaving his phone in his room, he walked to the front door and managed to force a smile "Hey you" He said when he saw her "I'm really sorry to say, but I'm not going to be at school today. I'm really not feeling well, I'm sure you still have time to catch the bus" He would drive her, but he was jealous. No other guy deserved her, they knew nothing about her. It killed him thinking about her with another guy, it was clear they were meant to be together. He was the only one who knew that her middle name really was, he knew that she loved sky blue and that she wanted to be a singer when she grew up. He knew everything about her and it just sucked that he wasn't the one who got to go out with her and do all of those things with her.

Christine smiled when Tyson opened the front door. He didn't look like his normal self though, and this was confirmed when Tyson told her that he wasn't going to school because he wasn't feeling well. Well that just sucked. Yes, for him because she obviously didn't wish for him to be sick. But also for her, because she really did not want to take the awfully horrible school bus. "Tyyyyy," she whined. She reached up and felt his forehead with the back of her hand. It was a move that she had seen her mother do a countless amount of times to tell if her children had a fever. But unfortunately, she couldn't tell a difference. Either she didn't have the 'motherly touch' or Tyson was bull shitting her. She voted for the second reason only because she hoped that Tyson would change her mind. "But I don't want to take the bus," she told him, pouting. She sighed, seeing his expression. "Fine," she mumbled, crossing her arms. She still noticed that he didn't seem to feel well though, and not just from any sort of illness. "Just tell me what's wrong though," she pleaded. She took his hand gently and looked into his eyes. "Please," she added, waiting. She honestly cared about Tyson, and she found herself thinking about him more and more. She was still sort of unsure about her feelings with him though, so for the most part she was friendly, but sometimes unknowingly flirty. It was just her personality to be extra friendly with certain people.

Lewis continued eating his food until he heard a knock at the door. He heaved a sigh, knowing exactly who it was. Speak of the devil. He wasn't really in the mood for being around her. Well, that was somewhat of a lie. He normally enjoyed Aria's presence, and he actually enjoyed it more and more lately. However, after seeing that photo, he was still a bit uncomfortable. He mouthed to his mom to not let her inside, but his father had already opened the door and let her in. He glanced at Aria as she walked into the room. He half-heartedly smiled at her, but he knew that she would be able to see right through his charade. She asked him if he was okay, but he didn't really feel like talking to her, so he sat there in silence. He turned and faced her once his mother had left the room. "Last night," he simply stated. "You shouldn't have done what you did," he continued. "You shouldn't have-" He stopped and recomposed himself. "Look, just be careful, okay? There are some real...jerks out there. You just deserve better, okay?" He finished. He sighed and took the last bite of his apple. He stood up and cleaned up his dishes in the kitchen without waiting for an answer from her.

Tyson just wasn't in the mood to fight with her at all, he shook his head "Look, I'm fine really" He smiled, knowing he was telling one of the biggest lies he could have ever told. He looked at the time and then back at her "I'll drive you to school okay, but not until like a half hour from now, Okay?" He invited her in, she had a ton of time before they had to leave. He knew she would push at what was wrong with him, and to be honest, he didn't feel like telling her at all. He looked back at her "Are you going to come in? Or do you plan on standing there all morning" He chuckled and went into the kitchen and made them both a coffee since he knew how she liked he. He looked back at her "Fine, do you really wanna know why I'm not okay? You went to that party, after I told you not to! I told you it was only going to be trouble, you promised me that you wouldn't go. And you did, and then you made out with some guy and you would have slept with him if someone didn't stop you. I know you haven't slept with anyone yet, I just want you to be with someone who cares about you okay? And not just some guy who is trying to get into your pants okay? I don't want to talk about it anymore, I'm just looking out for you okay?" He handed her the coffee mug when it was ready.

Aria looked over at him "I swear Lewis, all I did was kiss that guy...You know me. I wouldn't do anything else with someone, you know I want my first time to be with someone who I know cares about me and who I care about" She smiled and took his hand "Lewis, I know you're just looking out for me...thank you" She let go of his hand, wondering why he insisted on her having better. She knew deep down, she had been crushing on him for awhile now, but he never showed any real interest in her, so she just gave up and she had basically moved on from trying to be the girl that he wanted, to the girl that she wanted to be. She saw no point in trying to please him. She stood up and grabbed an apple and started eating it "Do you think I could get a ride into school with you today? If not it's totally fine I will start walking" She laughed again knowing that he could never say no to her "Sooo, my parents are out of town, wanna come over tonight? I wanna cook for my best friend. "Yeah, I can make us a nice pasta dish, with salad and garlic bread?" She finished her apple "And, you know...you can spend the night" Her mother had never allowed him to sleepover, but they broke rules when her parents were out of town just because.

Christine nodded, agreeing to let him drive her to school in the next half hour. She supposed that she would be able to spare that time, especially if it were for Tyson. She stepped inside after he invited her in and closed the front door behind her. His parents seemed to be gone, so it was just the two of them. She followed him into the kitchen and leaned against one of the counter tops as she watched him prepare the coffee. Suddenly, he erupted at her and she flinched in response. She stared down at her feet as he scolded her. It wasn't like he was her parent or anything, so what gave him the right to treat her like he was? She sighed though, knowing that he just wanted the best for her. But sometimes the best wasn't what she wanted. She took the coffee mug from her and set it down on the counter top beside her. "I wouldn't have slept with him," she told him quietly. "I just wanted to have some fun, you know? The high school experience. But I see that you can't even trust me to make the right decisions," she said, angrier now. She didn't want to be angry with him, but it was her first reaction to all this. She took a deep breath to calm down a bit. "I know you're just looking out for me, but I think you're taking this a little too far," she told him.

Lewis looked at her as she explained herself. He knew that she wasn't that type of person to go hooking up with some random guy, but he was afraid that she may end up that way. After all, he remembered what seemed like a short time ago when she thought that boys had cooties. And now look at her. As she took his hand, he squeezed it a bit and stoked it gently with his thumb. He tried to calm himself down. Lewis normally didn't freak out about most things, but Aria was different. Aria was slowly becoming all that he thought about. But he knew that she wouldn't ever feel the same way, so he tried to not show his feelings instead. He sighed and nodded his head. "Of course I'll drive you," he said. He thought about what she said next, about staying over that night. It would be selfish of him to accept, because he knew that he would probably be going there for the wrong reasons. But he couldn't resist the opportunity. He grinned and said, "Yeah, I'll be there around seven, is that okay?" He asked while looking around for his car keys. They would need to hurry if they were going to get to school on time. He didn't care anymore, it was his senior year after all and he had serious senioritis. But he knew that Aria would probably want to leave soon.
