Jillian had just gotten off of the plane and was headed to claim her suitcase on the conveyor belt. She hadn't had much luck with the belt before; she had flown to a relative's wedding the year before and the airline completely lost her bags, meaning that she went to the wedding in a shirt from the gift shop at the hotel. She anxiously chewed at her lip while she waited, not wanting to miss her bag. She made sure to tie some colored ribbon to the zipper pulls so that it would be easier to identify. She eventually spotted it and went to squeeze through the massive group of people crowding around the belt when she stopped dead in her tracks. A soft fingertip gently pressed against her exposed shoulder, almost wedged under her tank top. At first, she figured someone had just bumped into her, but when someone with the most slight of Australian accents called her name, her breath hitched in her throat. She swore she knew that voice from somewhere. She grabbed her bag quickly and spun around, hoping to identify the stranger that was looking for her. Her brow furrowed when she came face to face with a man she didn't quite recall. He stood confidently, his edgy haircut accentuating his features and his strong hands wrapped around his guitar case. "I'm sorry, how did you know my name?" she asked him, not sure why he had such a beautiful smile on his face.

Owen drummed his fingers against the cafe table while he waited for his flight to begin boarding. He was a bit nervous to start his music career in Melbourne, but he knew that it would be for the best. He slid off his beanie and stuffed it into his pocket, exposing his naturally curly hair. It struck him at that moment how he would need to get a haircut as soon as he possibly could. He looked like a ten year old boy that rain for the hills whenever his mom brought out the scissors to cut his hair. He glanced up from his seat and noticed a strangely familiar body walking down the corridor. He knew that girl anywhere - it had to be Candice! He rose from his chair instantly, aware that he didn't have much time to waste anymore, but that didn't matter. His heart ached because he had never realized how much he had actually missed her up until this point. He tried to discreetly follow her to see where she was going but she was too fast. Eventually, she stopped to claim her luggage and he approached her. "Candice?" He asked, hoping she would turn around. Her hair was a different color than when he had last seen it a few years prior, but he wondered if it still smelled like strawberries like he had loved. Was she still frequently found with her nose in a book and a glass of iced tea? Oh, how he hoped so. He wanted so badly for someone to accompany him to his audition and maybe he had just struck gold.

Candice's scratched her head, wondering if this dye job was doing her any favors. She figured she might as well change up her hair color if she was going to Australia. Perhaps she'd fit in more with those famous Australian babes. Her hair had been blonde before, but not this beachy. She seriously had to stop thinking about her hair, thought, because it was going to take her forever to find her luggage in the throng of people. "Shit.." she mumbled, realizing she forgot to place a colorful ribbon on her bags. Standing near the conveyer belt, she waited and eavesdropped on people's conversations as she did so. Their accents were painfully cute, she hoped she would come back with some sort of drawl. You could adapt an accent, right? Hopefully. It seemed as if the girl beside her was visiting her boyfriend, for after grabbing her bags from the belt with ease (she remembered to place a ribbon) she went flying into the arms of a handsome, 6'3 brunette man with impressive arms. That must be romantic, having a long distance boyfriend. Her longest distance relationship was what? Five miles? She chuckled at the thought of Chuck, the longest boyfriend she had. They lasted a whole year, until she found out he was cheating on her. That no good little..she was lost in thought and almost didn't notice someone calling her name. Who the fuck was calling her name in the middle of the Australian airport? Spinning around quickly, her blue eyes widened at the site. More blue eyes, but not nearly as aqua as hers. They looked bleached, as if someone had attempted to wash the color off them vigorously. She felt like she recognized him somehow, but couldn't quite put her finger on it. "Yes?" She asked, almost missing her bags. She leaned over suddenly and grabbed them; perhaps with too much force. This handsome male in his cute little beanie probably had no more interest in pursuing conversation with her.

Aaron wiped the lenses on his thick, black framed glasses, wondering if he was reading the boarding times correctly. Holy fucking shit, his flight was delayed! This was great, he could aimlessly wonder around the airport for a few more hours and be lured into buying overpriced merchandise from the gift shops. Just like he had planned! Groaning in frustration, he stood from his uncomfortable seat in the waiting area and decided to stretch out his legs. He might as well, he was going to be here for a while. He made his way across the airport, skipping on mooching off of the luggage walkway. He had a lot of time to waste. Approaching the end of the walkway he found the conveyer belt that was delivering luggage. Might as well wait around here and see what's happening. At least he looked like he had something or someone to wait for. He leaned against a wall in the corner and crossed his arms over his chest, scanning the crowd of people waiting for their bags. And that was when it happened. That ginger hair, and familiar tall, slim frame. She was wearing acid wash jeans on a flight, as opposed to the other girls who were calling it a day in their Victoria Secret sweatpants and North Face jackets. "Jilian! Jilian Hendricks!" He called, flaming his arms around like a mad men. He ran to her, placing his hand on her shoulder. He hoped to God she recognized him other wise he surely looked like a stalker. When it turned out that she didn't, he couldn't help but feel even slightly heart broken. "Crikey, Jilian, it's me, Aaron."

Jillian stood still as his whole hand, this time, came in contact with her shoulder. She bit her lip again as she tried to understand what exactly was going on. Too much time had passed since she'd last seen Aaron, and here he was, jumping and gallivanting around like they were back in elementary school together. "Aaron?" she managed to choke out, setting down her bag on the ground after they had shuffled a bit to get out of the way. "I didn't expect to run into you here," she told him, even though somewhere in the back of her head it was always a possibility. Whether or not she wanted to admit that to herself was another idea. Her brows drew together again as she looked him up and down. If it really was him, he had definitely changed. He seemed a good bit taller now and his decision to keep a bit of facial hair was, without a doubt, in his favor. The hair on the top of his head was more styled than she had ever seen it, and his eyes had some sort of sparkle to them that had her absolutely intrigued. What effect did she have on him? She held her arms out and motioned for him to come over to her, eager to welcome him into an embrace. Thankfully, he obeyed and she didn't feel as uncomfortable anymore.  "Where are you headed?" she asked him as they pulled back from each other. As much as she wanted to just stand there and smell the tantalizing scent of his cologne, she didn't want to give him the wrong impression. Then it struck her. Oh, God, was he here with another girl? Was she all but throwing herself at him for some woman to come out of the shadows and knock her out? She dropped her hands instantly and tried not to make it too obvious that she was taking a step back to distance herself from him.

Owen took another step towards Candice as she went to grab her bags from the conveyor belt. When she picked them up too quickly, she threw herself off balance a little. Not wanting to watch her embarrass herself in front of all of these people, he stuck a hand out in an attempt to steady her from behind. As she slid a little bit, his palm landed on the small of her back as he caught her. "Sorry," he said quickly, removing his hand from her back and taking a step to the side. Thankfully, he heard her speak and she turned around to face him again. "Candice, do you remember me? I'm Owen, we were good friends when we were younger ... ?" He pursed his lips as he waited for some sort of light bulb to go off in her head. He knew she was sharp as a tack and had the memory to boot. She would figure it out, that much was for sure, but he didn't know if she would be so quick to welcome him back into her life. When they were younger, not long before he moved, he could sense that there was more to them than just a really close friendship. He didn't know how involved she had become with anyone while he was gone. It's not like he told her to keep to herself until they met again, but he sort of hoped that she would be willing to admit that he wasn't the only one with such feelings. He had been with a few ladies since arriving in Australia, but none of them ever compared to Candice. They were always too something - too clingy, too ignorant, too much of a smartass, too nasty, too stuck up ... the list went on and on. "How have you been? I guess you're in college now too, right?" He had taken a year off from university to focus on preparing for the trip to Melbourne.
