they were in a tumultuous relationship years ago. It was full of lust and desire, but the young lovers had a tendency for hot-tempered, vicious arguments. They broke up mutually and moved on, realizing that the situation was never going to give way to something healthy, but neither truly got over the other. Even though they are both in loving, stable relationships in the present time, it lacks the fervor of the connection they had with each other, and thoughts constantly wander to their old flame, wishing their new relationship had that same passion. Late one night, (boy) picks up the phone and dials (girl), simply wanting to hear their voice. (girl) is shocked and hesitant to speak with (boy) considering their significant other is sleeping in bed in the next room, but is unable to hang up, emotions running high. The calls continue nightly in secret. After several conversations, both agree they need closure to move on, and decide to meet in person.

naomi finished straightening the rest of her hair, setting down the hot iron and looking in the mirror. she was already nervous, her heart was thumping out of her chest. she shouldn't be doing this, it's not right. but every night when she laid in bed all she could think of was him. not only was her boyfriend in the next room, he had no idea where she was going. naomi had said she was going out to dinner with a couple of the girls, because she knew even if it was a guy 'friend' he would have nothing to do with it, not like she was going to stick up for herself. she finished off her face with some red lipstick and held a hand over her chest, trying to calm down. she slid on her heels and grabbed her keys, trying to slide out of the bathroom undetected. kurt, her boyfriend, was being obnoxiously loud talking to his friends on xbox, practically screaming. he didn't even hear her leave. clicking down the sidewalk, she waved her hand quickly to try and flag down a taxi, she was already late. once pulled up, she opened the door and when asked where she was going she said it in such a quiet voice she had to repeat it, "grande dimaggio." it was the most expensive restaurant in town, and he had invited her there.

jake ran some fingers through his hair, grunting, trying to open his car. his hands were shaking too much to get the key in the lock, "damn it." he mumbled to himself, finally opening the door and sitting down in the leather seat. he adjusted it quickly and pulled down the mirror/visor to see what he currently looked like. he smoothed his hands over his face and sighed, putting it back up. he couldn't believe he was going to see Chrystal again. it'd been so long, at least a couple years by now. the thought of seeing her face made his heart skip a beat. thinking back to their relationship, most of it was a blur but he could remember that it was the happiest he'd ever been. finally, he started the car and headed off to the restaurant, checking his watch and making sure he wasn't late.

xanthe was waiting outside the restaurant. typical naomi, he thought. he checked his watched now and again and sighed, so nervous. he was petrified about this, about whether or not she was going to turn up, and what she would want to say. he'd missed the days they were together, it was fun. they might have had some VERY vicious arguments, but it always ended in the best way, and he couldn't have asked for someone who made him happier. he scraped his fingers through his hair, crossing his arms loosely, he looked around, waiting. this was so wrong, he knew that. he was in a new relationship now, with a lovely girl who was.. nice. she did the right things, had a nice job, she was normal. she just wasn't naomi.

chrystal was still getting ready. she liked things to go her way and if she didn't get them, she'd often kicked off. which was how she got her boyfriend to allow her to g out that evening. sh'd told him she was just going out with a few of her friends for some drinks, nothing big, and he really had no choice but to let her go. she was very stubborn, and bitchy, when she wanted to be. she let her long slick blonde hair hang down her spine, to the curve of her bum. she was wearing a black chiffon dress with a wrap front, along with high heels. she applied her bright pink lipstick, spritzed her perfume, and then went stairs, climbing into the taxi she'd called. it drove her to the restaurant that jake had suggested, le rouge. she sighed, her mind wandering off to thoughts of jake again.

jake pulled up his car to valet and smiled at the young man working, he handed him a twenty and nodded, "keep it." getting out of the car, he checked his phone to see if she had texted or left any voicemails, but none appeared on his lockscreen. his eyes slid across the front of the place before going in and greeting the host. "i have a reservation for stone, for 2 tonight", he smiled as the host led him to the delicately dressed table, equipped with lit candles and wine. he took a seat, tapping his fingers on the tablecloth. he poured himself a glass of cabernet and sipped, anxiously awaiting her arrival.

chrystal got out once there, paying the gentleman, giving him a sly wink, before climbing out in the most ladylike way possible, in an attempt to not flash anyone. that really wouldn't have been a good start to the evening. her eyes looked up and down in an attempt to spot him, but he was not there. she frowned a little, checking her phone. jake was never late, she knew that. he must've been inside. she strutted in, her hips swaying with each step, her eyes observed the room until they landed on him. he looked the same as he always did, if not even better than before. muscular physique which was sculpted by the shirt he was wearing, bright blue eyes, dangerous smile. it always made her question why she ever left him. she went over and smiled, sitting herself opposite him, resting her clutch bag on her lap. "hey, jake."

jake smirked and stood up, grabbing her coat and kissing her hand softly, "i'll take this to the coat rack for you, my lady." he folded up the long black coat over his arms as he walked towards the front of the place, handing the lady in uniform the coat and proceeded to thank her. heading back to the table, he scanned each one for his last name, finally finding it and seeing chrystal's back. he grinned and took a seat. "wine?", he asked, grabbing the other glass at the table and pouring her some, setting it over on her side. "i can't believe it's been so long since we've seen each other."

"why thank you." she rubbed her lips together, swiftly checking her lipstick before he came back. she sat herself down and crossed her legs over, pulling her dress down over her thighs, she waited for him. smiling when he came back, chrystal nodded her head and bit her bottom lip, picking up the wine once he poured it and swiftly sipping it down. it was something which could calm the nerves. she glanced around before finally looking at him again, the same old sly smirk on her lips, she nodded her head. "you've got that right. almost two years now, jake." she raised her eyebrows and shrugged her shoulders, pushing her hair from her face. "it's nice to see you again."

jake nodded, looking around and handing her a menu. "i can't believe it's already been that long. you look absolutely.. amazing by the way." he trailed off, looking at her for a while as his eyes flickered back to the menu. "this place has the most delectable food, i love it here but i haven't had a reason to come since we broke up." he adjusted himself in his seat and crossed one leg over his left and leaned back a bit as he saw the waiter arrive. "for me, i'll take the steamed lobster with a side of carmelized pears, sir. thank you", he said, handing the man the menu and looking at chrystal, still taking in her beauty.

chrystal nodded as she listened to him, smiling. "thank you, you look handsome, as always. I always did like it when you dressed up like that." she gently nudged his leg under the table with her foot, biting on her bottom lip innocently though there was a cheeky glint in her eyes. "yeah, the food in here is wonderful, but let's face facts, we're not here for the food are we, jake?" she glanced at the menu, tucking some of her luscious blonde hair behind her ear. "i'll have the spiced chicken salad with the vinaigrette dressing, please, thank you." she closed the menu and headed it to the waiter, tucking her chair in a little more, resting her hands on the table as she looked into his eyes. "so, what have you been up to today?"
