Cora was walking across campus with her boyfriend, Brady, on her way to class. They made the same trip each morning and she used one hand to hold his, the other to hold her beloved iced coffee. Because she was an elementary education major, all of her classes were in the same building. They rarely talked because she was more of the quiet, observant type that didn't want to step on his toes, and he learned that at the end of the day she just didn't care about football as much as he did. As they crossed the sidewalk and walked toward the Education building, she glanced across the quad and saw a familiar figure in the distance. "Aaron?" she thought to herself, a small smile appearing on her face. When Brady looked over at her and asked why she suddenly looked so happy, she blamed her smile on a squirrel running up a nearby tree. Little did Brady know that she and Aaron had class together in just a few minutes.
Jase was driving to school in his pickup truck, enjoying the sound of the new Florida Georgia Line song that blasted from his radio. He drummed along on his steering wheel as he crossed town and eventually pulled into the parking lot. He backed his truck into a spot right next to where Indie would park in just a few short minutes. He rolled his windows down, hopped out of his truck and closed the door behind him. He leaned against the front bumper, wiping his hands on the thighs of his pants and pulling out his cell phone. He checked his messages to find an invitation to go mudding after classes were over. In need of a stress reliever, he answered immediately, glad that this friend was a mutual friend of he and Indie. This was the perfect time to invite her to go along with him. He had always thought she was gorgeous but had a tendency to be too snooty and uptight. Maybe if she had a chance to let go, he would find out about the real Indie.
