I've tried. I've tried to read about the things. I've tried to understand radical leftists. I've tried my very, very best, but in the end... very few of the things some of social justice seeking people say make sense.

Like, 'yes, freedom of speech is good, BUT censor all the bad words off of the media and stop being mean'. What?

I get that those people are trying their best to make this world better, but... in my eyes they're taking the wrong way. There's no point in pampering sensitive people and hushing other people's bad thoughts -- it didn't work a couple of decades ago and it won't work now either.
We should let people speak out their minds and then give them another point of view -- without yelling or calling them names.

That, or we should all just ignore all the hatred and live on without giving too much of a thought to it.
"sensitive people"??

okay i think you should talking to me, because right now you're tone policing me because i'm speaking up about problematic behaviour and i think you should check your privilege. u need to do that. otherwise you wouldn't be offended about me pointing out problematic behaviour in media.
Could you please point out the place where I "tone policied" you as well as tell me what you mean by that? Because tbh I tried to be as polite as possible while delivering my message, yet you decided to read it in an offensive way.

I just checked 'em. I have cis privilege, and that's about it. Oh, yeah, I guess I'm able bodied despite my asthma and bad joints. There. Happy?

calling oppressed people   sensitive
and in all dismissing my point in whole
yes i took offense to your comment, since in whole talked over the fact that i was only highlighting problematic behaviour and then decided to give oppressed people who speak up about their problems the fault because you became uncomfortable with being set on spot.

matt healy is bigot - i still listen to the 1975 ?? sooo

like if people ask for sources, yess i'll give them some, but i don't always have the time or energy and people should google things them damn selves. it isn't that hard ....

and when it comes to being non-binary, it's mostly because the gender spectrum just doesn't exist for me
it's easier for me to deal with being nb than being  cis, since i experienced a lot of dysphoria ( and still do ) with gender so yeah.
really? any songs in particular?
If I hear horrible song lyrics I tend to go off of the singer & song straightaway. Especially with songs being such a powerful way to communicate with, bad messages are not something that should be spread through them.

I get that, particularly as I am a VERY lazy person. I'd probably end up saving a word document and copying and pasting the thing. True, I personally would like to know what to google but that it just a personal point of view. Sometimes I just talk to my sister though, she knows a lot as she has many friends who are, unfortunately, on the oppressed side so she helps me to understand it a lot.

So more associating as simply human and not having a need for a gender? or have I completely missed the mark?
it's mostly matt who says shit in interviews and on twitter so
i cut people off just like that nothing - i did that with halsey, with miley, with fob and many more

nonbinary is more like for me not having a specific gender ishhh???
Ah I meant to mention - I don't know who Matt Healy is... (is he from The 1975?)
I do it with a lot though I can give chances at times. I can be willing to listen again sometimes too (however not Justin Bieber/Miley -.-). I've heard things about Halsey floating around but nothing concrete (like as in, I understand what's happened completely). I've only ever heard one of her songs though, 'Colours' (or if you're American 'Colors -.-).

Hmm, this is where I still get lost. I swear I'm not trying to be complicated or anything, I just loses me a little. I sorta sit on the fence of understanding then I waver a little like 'oh but'. It's like seriously close to my grasp but I can't seem to reach it (If I have explained that badly, again I'm sorry - for some reason it's only 9:30 and I think I need sleep xP)

Yeah I can understand that. A lot need it to slap them in the face (usually literally) before they see their error.
As I mentioned before, I think some don't know what to google/where to start? But idk (btw I'm not trying to defend them I'm just trying to understand both sides - curse my history & english language balanced arguments essays :/)

Yeah I think it would be good.

how did you check your privilege?

I have bad joints too - I have Joint Hypermobility. Of all the things I pick out a common ground I pick this xD
By doing various google searches about privileges. Feel free to send me a fancy list of all possible privileges so that I can cross over the ones I don't have tho.

Omg, same! My mum also has that, so I guess it runs in our family or something? Good common ground -- bad joints xd

I never said that oppressed people are sensitive. I never said a word about oppressed people -- because they are a whole different story.
I most likely didn't get your point then.
There are usually two sides to a story, which is what I tried to say when you were highlighting this 'problematic' behavior.
Also at what point did I give the fault to anyone or get uncomfortable? :0
You, my lady/nonbinary/sir/madam/whichever you prefer, are confusing me.
Please, the next time you decide to answer to me, talk to me like I would have the vocabulary of an average ten year old.

Hmm I may need to look through some soon (maybe not tonight as I am not in my best head xD It would probably wash over me as I'm so tired). Hmm the main ones I can think of are; Age, Gender, Sexuality, Race, Ability/Disability, Class.

Really? I wasn't expecting that xD Yeah we believe my grandma had it & then it may run in other parts of her side of the family. Yeah my joints are because of my DNA. I'm the only one in my household with it but my mum & dad have characteristics of it (my mum has flat feet but my dad has flexible joints and gets bad back & neck pain).
Ikr not the best thing to have in common. However I'm actually really happy to find out I'm not the only one with it. People either think I'm sort of making it up (as it doesn't leave me bed ridden) or try and tell me they think they have it (which at times, can be - but I think others tell it me as it strangely happens when I tell them about my joints because they ask why I can freeze my exam time & etc.)

a wa wa? That exists >.< - that's like when Donald Trump talked about his own daughter.

I'm glad. I'm trying to understand & I talk openly with others that I don't always understand it so hopefully soon it can start making more sense :3 It's nice to have heard another description/definition :)

I think you should educate yourself a bit more.
This conversation is over. You made me really uncomfortable and yes you didn't get my point at all. But read up on some things abt privilege, tone policing, oppression and micoagressions.
That would be a start :)

Oh definitely, however again - it's when bigots start to get involved sad
People still moan about children marching in Gay Pride & say that it is 'brainwashing' - they struggle when it's pointed out that religion can be seen the exact same way.

Wait, how is age a privilege? :0 Are younger more privileged since they get off easier or?

I don't know anyone else in my family to have it besides my mom and me. The worst part is that to my friends it sounds fun since I can easily sit in some weird positions -- or at least I could when I was younger -- to me it sucks due to all the pain it causes. Like right now I have to wear a support thingy on my knee. Idek how it does it, but it keeps the pain at minimum as well as helps me walk without a bad limp.

Boom that.

The one (in the case of LGBT rights) that sticks out for me is always Molestation in the Church. There are frequent times when 'choir boys' are pointed out & yet it still goes on. They make out it doesn't but it does. I'm not sure which 'level' of church do it, but the fact that these men advocate themselves to chastity & then dehumanise LGBT people - to find out the same man is except rather than be open and accepting of this, pushes themselves on young boys. How is that any better? How does God see that as any less of a sin over being an open homosexual?

The fact that any of those go on is horrible though. The Politician one is another I can largely rant about. The others I can but it's harder as I don't live in societies where it is as rampant (other than Child Poverty).
