Sorry to just jump into your conversation, but what has he said? I enjoy his work but I've got Aspergers myself and my brother is autistic, so yeah :/
he's said like idk it was some old interview so i don't have it all fresh in my minds or anything but he said like it's dangerous to go around saying that oh that character is autistic or wahtever becuase it would give actual autistic people false hope and like i think he went to some school for autistic kids to get inspiration for frankenstein or something and he said like that some 18 year old boy was like a newborn or something like you should probaböy do your own research too because i am writing only from memory and it was along time since i've read about it so yeah

ok well it's a great film it's a biography based on the book alan turing: the enigma or it's called something like that the book is very good too if you're more into reading!

I don't see how assuming different characters is on the spectrum is "dangerous" for us who is. After watching The Accountant, I was like "wow, what a badass. I'm gonna find a way to use my "powers" just like him" - same with The  Imitation Game, and pretty much everything Sherlock I've ever seen.  It's not false hope, it's hoped that we can find a way to make ourselves happy and ugh. I get very passionate on this topic, lol.

I mostly live by "not caring what strangers think, since I don't have to speak to them again" making all those deep convos easy, and "stressing over what to say to make a good impression on people I have to see daily", lol. But I'm trying to break that habit, so I can actually speak with people, lol
