i also reed children books bc i'm going to be a teacher
yes thats the word i was looking for !!

hope u feel better soon !!
i love rpgs so much, i played mostly mmorpgs growing up (bc i couldnt afford spending money on it)
i used to play revelation online and league of legends a lot. once in a while i play overwatch. i recently downloaded guild wars 2 bc my bf wanna play it with me and atm im really addicted to soul worker. (its in open beta)

aa back when i read books i really loved fantasy too !! what made u want to become a teacher ? i still struggle with finding out what i want, but teacher has definitely been something ive been thinking about

thankss
ooo nice! whaaat? i used to play gw2 soooo much, i kinda forgot about it!!
i haven't heard about soul worker before, is it good?

i love kids. i've worked as a swimming instructor for soon 8 years and i asked myself what i was good at and then the answer was teaching kids stuff and to be a like "safe person". i really struggled a long while to find out what i wnated to be tho
im currently trying the mesmer class !! its so interesting but the whole clone thing is so confusing to me haha

Oh, nice! It's my second term of gender studies now, and I plan on getting a bachelor's degree in the subject. You mentioned that you study to become a teacher, which grades will you be teaching?

Haha, yeah. I'm like "I should study" -> *Reads course literature for 10 minutes* -> "Maybe I should do something fun instead?" -> "But wait, I'm supposed to study, so I can't waste time watching series" -> *Ends up wasting all my time watching random videos, reading articles, being on VP* -> "What a productive day I've had, I didn't watch any series" XD
nice!! do you know what you will work with later?
yes, i'm going to be a elementary school teacher (1-7) and i know now that i will teach norwegian, math and art + something else

HAHAH i'm actually laughing now. some of this is so me. but i usually end up watching a series or movie on my tv at the same time as i'm on vp on my laptop.
No, I really have no idea. I kind of envy those people who know what they are going to work with when they are like 10 years old, and then actually accomplish that. In the mean time, I'm just here like ??? What to do with my life? I'm not worried about it though, eventually I'll probably figure something out. Otherwise I can always just continue studying. I think I'm going to get a master's degree, and if I still want to study after that, I could try getting a PhD.

Oh, that combination of subjects sounds fun. Is being a teacher popular in Norway? In Sweden no one wants to be teachers, it's mostly people who either have bad grades or don't know what else to do who study to become teachers. According to statistics we'll be missing 65000 teachers in 2025, which is crazy.

You have no idea how much I procrastinate. It's almost a wonder that I always manage to hand things in on time. Yesterday I handed in my home exam two minutes before deadline. XD
Yes i did that too. I had a big problem with finding out what i wanted to do. But i found out that i’m good at working with kids and that i’m like a very «safe person» so i just decided to be a theacher.
do you know if you can get work in sweden with a degree in gender studies?
oh yes, sounds like you have some options then.

i hate norwegian tho, but i have to teach it bc it’s just how it is. Rules you know. Umm we had a problem with that as well, but i think it’s better now. Both i and a lot of people in my class had good grades from high school. We habd a problem that most people want to study it in oslo or bergen i think, but not smaller places.  (Idk if what i’m writing makes sense i’m om my phone atm) but it’s like a huge drop out rate bc it’s harder than people think and it’s not like they imagine.

Ahahah damn! same tho. I always write my assignments the same day as the deadline. I wrote a 6000 word assignment in 5-6 hours some weeks ago. And i had SO MUCH TIME to do it the rest of the week, but i just didn’t.

Ahh, i’ve never been a fan of the mesmer class, or not playong it myself. I’ve played as a guardian and ranger i think. Yes it’s kind of hard (and a bit boring at times), i only think it’s fun if you play with other people.

ooo that’s nice, she seems fit to be a teacher. What do you want to do after your gap years? If you know yourself

I don't know, I haven't really looked into that yet. I only decided on getting a degree in gender studies recently, so that's why. I won't be getting my bachelor's degree until sometime next year (I think), so I have plenty of time to check things out before that.

Is it bokmål or nynorsk? What kind do you learn in school? Oh, yeah, there was a report here about high drop out rates, the reason being that the people studying to become teachers mostly have bad grades, which means they aren't really able to follow the education very well.

6000 words in 6 hours, wow! That's what I call being effective. I don't think I'd be able to do that. I wrote my 2800 word essay/home exam during a couple of hours yesterday and Sunday. I give you an A+ for procrastination skills!

Haha yes i hope so. I was out in «praksis» idk the english word for it and it was so much fun, we was like «real teachers» for a month.

both, we learn both. But most norwegians has bokmål as their main language and nynorsk is just a pain in the ass tbh hahah. A lot of people ageee with me there, and some don’t. All my assignments in norwegian is in nynorsk :c yes very true, thats a big problem.! But it’s also some people with good grades as well from my experience

yes idk how i did it tbh, it’s extreme even for me. I did pass it, and it wasn’t the worst either. Hahah i like your way of doing exams hahah, a+ to you too hahaha

Oh, I remember those "teacher candidates" that came to school and held some lessons. I think you can call it internship (practice)?

Isn't bokmål almost like Danish, and nynorsk, in spite of it's name, more like "gammelnorsk"? Like more similar to Icelandic, the way it was before Danish influence? It's something about going back to the roots of the language, that's why you learn both, because bokmål is like "contaminated" by Danish, and nynorsk is more "pure". That's my guess at least.

Haha, thank you! I mean, I've never failed before, so I don't see why I should change my approach.

ooo yes, that's a good word for it, thank you! either way it was very fun and interesting.

yes bokmål is more inspired by danish writing and nynorsk is mostly inspired by dialects all around and a bit gammelnorsk. the languages got "verified" just with one year in between, nynorsk first and than bokmål. i think we learn both bc of history and bc i think it could be a bit problematic to just go over to one. I think nynorsk would die out if that happened

hahaha same here! i probably should fail once so i could make myself to do an effort

Ah, okay. Norwegian is such a weird language, like, if I search for dialect videos on Youtube, I'm like ??? All of them sound so different, how do you even understand each other? Reading (bokmål) is much easier, since I know both Danish and Swedish. Do you call the spoken language nynorsk and bokmål too? Like, would you say that you're speaking bokmål?

I have thought about that, haha. But grades are really important to me (or at least they were, when I was in high school), so failing is not an option. When will you be graduating?

No worries, I haven't watched it, actually I'm not into action movies at all, for me horror, mystery, thrillers, fantasy and drama are my top genres. But I did watch Wonderwoman the other week, it was actually okay.

I'm actually thinking of making a lookbook on here with my outfits, they're inspired by those
yeah i get that. that's nice i'm not that into horror, mystery and thrillers but i get why people like it ahah. i might as well also mention that i like 80's (ish) chick flicks and like movies from the 50's and 60's

oooo YES DO IT. good idea!
Idk, there's something about the dark and mysterious I can't describe. I've never really been into movies from the 50's or 60's, I think it's because I haven't been exposed or shown any, can you recommend me your faves?

I will.. when I put together a cool outfit, most of the time I am too lazy, but other times it's like, BOOM IN YOUR FACE
