I had french and german in high school and now I am in college for tourism and i'm taking spanish.
How come you choose russian? 

College for toursime srsly sounds like a lot of fun! 
My mom n' grandma speaks russian, so they kind of got me interested in the language

It must be a lot easier learning a new language if your family speaks it, or at least, that's what i think.
