Season 2 it was revealed there was a transitioning woman (man -> woman) on the show and Rupaul fully supported her. I don't think he means it hurtfully but I think it's meant to be that drag is originally & associated with men. However if you mean women who have transitioned to men then I can see your point. But would transgender men want to do drag if they transitioned? (from articles I've read of transgender people many hate how their bodies were and what they had to wear/act etc.)

The main issue I heard surrounding the show was "She-Mail" and a challenge episode - "She-Mail" was changed when the show realised how many people were offended & the challenge episode was deleted immediately.
