It's not very known -- I found it two years ago just randomly looking up game interests on Steam. 
But the community is great. For the most part, everyone is willing to give each other a helping hand. 

I've never played DC Universe myself, but from what I've seen, it's basically the same. I think DCU online let's you customize your character more in depth to your liking, right?

MH2K16 gives you the set canon characters to play with. The only thing you can change/alter about them is their costumes (by purchasing in store) and their attributes/powers. I'd recommend giving it a try if you're looking for something new.
