There are studies that show that users actually spend less time on text heavy websites with dark themes, not sure how this applies to dress up sites though.

yeah because it's a bit more difficult for the brain to read when it's inverted
though to be fair, with how little people in general like to read on sites like this, I doubt it seriously matters
I also suspect it to be something you can get used to (reading inverted light levels or even just less bright colours), considering e-readers as still going strong and how their screens aren't as bright as those of computers

True, I feel like I can't see when I use dark mode on anything but discord lol. But on vp I just don't want the option because ppl will make fits that look horrible on light mode and vice versa cus of the background color change behind the avis and im not for that, already an issue on es for me
