In making magazines I could do my creativity on the site itself, overlap photos, write, choose fonts. If I were to to that in a blog article it would be so same over and over again. color the background, nice font i copied and pasted on the top, some photos, some text inbetween. If I wanted it so be more creative I would use photoshop, and like no problem to do so. But not everyone has photoshop, or nows how to. I remember on gsm that it was so easy to use, and I just want as many people as possible to be able to express themselves expressive. And you could also be a group of people making a magazine together and that teaches you a lot about teamwork. I just want people to get closer to each other and make wonderful things.
I dont think its fair of you to say that you want people to be closer and make wonderful things, as if its not already like that here. Have you read some of the amazings blogs on here? It's already like that, if you actually take the time to read blogs. And you can work together on it here too. Maybe try to look at the BT and what they post, and open your mind to what people are making here.

Also, Canva is a site you can use instead of photoshop.
Free site, similar to magazines, save it and put it on your blog. Knock yourself out.

My intention was not for it to come off as me meaning that people here aren't close and doesn't makes wonderful things. not at all. they do. but making magazines was such a great way to do so. And yes there are amazing blogs on here. I do not know what the BT is but that sounds great, could you send me a link to get there? i would love to check it out.

and thank you for the example of using canva, I will try it out, if not I'll just go back to photoshop. 

But I'ts not like i'm saying "get rid of the blogs", i just want to add another feature. the more the merrier i think. like why not let the ones who want it get it? its not like its put in a corner: blogs or magazines.

I don't see the problem with them being a tad bit gimmicky, but okay. I like the thought of pagefunction in blogs. If not magazines, at least pages. And yes we maybe arent that many, but the function might attract more people and also everything is worth a shot, if it fail it fails, but we cannot know before we try.

yeah no i don't mind the gimmicky part, the fact that no one will use them is honestly my main concern. I don't think a function that no one uses will attract much more of a userbase anyways, I'd rather have the focus on updating already existing parts of the site to make the quality overall higher than to start to create a feature that would take a lot of work but that very few people would actually use

yeah. And honestly, it's not a bad idea because the magazine function was so much fun? and I'm sure some people would use it, I just don't think it's realistic for vp, sadly

I am happy to hear that you don't think the magazine function is a bad idea. it may not be realistic, but often you experience something to be totally unrealistic, but you would be suprised if giving it a shot. to make a change, it wouldn't work if everyone said it's not realistic and stood back. Changes happens in masses. I take it as you support the idea but can't see it happen, does that mean I can have the pleasure of writing your name up as a supporter?
