tbh im not sure if that would be fair either; only for raffles
depends if the goal with the competition is to participate with a valid entry or to actually dress subjectively the best to a theme or with an item
i hate this lol.

if i want to play a raffle i'll play a raffle. dressup comps should be about skill dressing up.
skill more like if you have an available warderobe with good items

if its really about skill for dressing up

what if we limited the wb accessibility?

like u could only use this ONE team member's wb to create the outfit? that would LITERALLY level the playing ground so much...!!

They've done that before. I liked it, but it was honestly just like all the other comps

The only way I can see how we could diversify the winners would be to have an item limit sometimes. That way the minimalistic outfits would have a chance.

i'd never tell anyone 'no' if they asked to use my wardrobe.

yea the style thing is still an issue!!

thats why the second part of my original post talked about diversifying the ways of winning.

That could be something to consider for ET's comps.
As for SMT, we've done some WWIB comps by having users style one fem or one male team member.

how did it work out? bc like i mentioned above i feel like the aesthetic thing would be an issue.
curious as to whether or not it was more accessible for others to win!

A lot of people don't want to use another person's wd, and chose not to participate or show their dismay. And a lot of people liked it too! I mean, you can never please everyone

hm i can see how that would happen
i definitely would want to see the most amount of ppl pleased, which is why i had hoped this post would begin a conversation about how teams judge outfits/ran competitions

perhaps you could try to implement a mix of all these ideas just to try em out and see what kind of feedback you would get idk

I definitely appreciate how you went about this! You raised the question in a very polite way and keep a nice conversation going, so thank you for that! I'm as interested in you in getting some better guidelines for the voting process so I'd be happy to discuss it within the team and come up with either some voting guidelines or more diverse WWIB themes that fit the more simple aesthetic too

no, thank you for being so respectful of my opinion! was a bit worried about how some team members would react to this, but i'm glad i was able to raise awareness on this issue, and that you will continue it within your team! can't wait to see some steps towards the right direction!!~

I 2nd what Moss said.
Even if we don't agree with it (which I don't think is really the case here) we appreciate people presenting their criticisms or ideas in a polite way.

i agree with all of this

tbh most of the time i think what they rly base it on is how much they like you as a person, no matter how good ur outfit was or not
like i feel there's an unfairness going on

but also one idea could maybe be that everyone would send in their outfits, i'm thinking like a separate website, and it all is done anonymous so they can't see what user sent in what
THEN they (the team) do their own voting thing and vote according to the theme etc etc
for some reason i think that would make the winners for each comp more varied? if that makes sense
since they would have no ability of knowing which users it's from unless they're an expert at telling which outfit was made by which user
Idk about anyone else obviously, but I couldn't care less who the people are that I'm voting for. Not that I really dislike anyone anyway lmao, but even if there were a person I HATED I would still vote for them if I think their outfit was one of the best imo!

What I base my voting on is things like color combo (how well it's coordinated), details, the overall look, how well it fits the theme, how unique it is etc {option}
