If they pronoun is ghost emoji I think just call them them instead

the difference between calling someone only by a neopronon vs only username is basically none lbr
I just use they instead for everyone if they have smth weird im not gonna even try to understand how to use, but if they have like "DONT USE THEY/THEM" in their profile I just will not interact or talk with or about them cus then everything is fucky impossible

yeah,,, i dont like the push on es that claims they/them is always misgendering n not just misgendering when its actively used to avoid other pronouns. But like the simple solution is always just to not interact with people u dont wanna interact with,, idk why it has to be harder than that lol

I mean they literally put races/groups as "DNI" and then lose their marbles when it doesn't work bc that's like a huge portion of the site.

I don't know if its cus im not a native english speaker, but doesn't ppl use they/them for everyone, like for cis men and women also, if you are unsure abt someones gender if you know nothing abt them for example. I don't see anyone using they/them abt me as misgendering as long as its not like they go out of their way to only use those instead of she/her when they know me

dnis dont really work as a concept anyways, because the bad people in those groups you dont wanna interact with arent gonna care about. Its always just more effective to not interct with those people you dont wanna interact with yourself in most cases...

Exactly. If anything it's going to attract trolls lol. I've seen on reddit that someone had "Asians DNI" and had this whole rant about how it's totally not racist bc of a bad experience like....???

sobbing has never used a pronoun on vp in sobbings life, sobbing simply doesnt thing its convenient, because what if sobbing might come across someone with a ghost in the pronoun bar, sobbing thinks that would be a disaster wow maybe sobbing will get fined for it if sobbing doesnt use it like in germoney
yes sobbing does not want to get fined for using the wrong pronoun so its easier to call someone by name

so sobbings preferred pronoun is sobbing then okay, i wont refer to sobbing by pronouns for now on, in case sobbing gets fined which is very likely to happen. Im sure sobbing will get in so much trouble in the future on vp for not using users neos bc vp users are so known for loving neos. Sobbing is definitely right and the true soluton is to never use pronouns again
why is it very likely to happen

I could honestly see it being counterintuitive to have dni lists, cus if someone is a horrible human white man homophobic racist ableist and whatnot, he would probably WANT to interact with someone who doesn't want to interact w ppl like him, to fuck w them. And bait for trolls looking for ways to mess with a person

Yeah, naturally in your head when you see someone you might think "she/her or he/him" based on how someone presents, but they/them is a good way to avoid risking misgendering so it's even more commonly used for that purpose now. It can be plural or singular.

Its so weird everyone is like "they/them?? Are you multiple people? 🤣🤣" and then they use they/them abt a singular person 3 sentences later

In cases where that works, you would. If I'm referring to someone on here though and I don't know to stay grammatically correct I may use "they" since it's harder to tell on VP.

It's been used both ways for a long time, just depends on context. I get how it can look confusing for some though.

is very weird because ive been thaught this since i began learning english, yeah? but the people i mainly see struggle wth singular they them is native speakers? like i think a lot of them dont reflect on the fact  that its used as an unknown gender pronoun in their day to day life to the point that when they have to refer to someone by it inentionall they brains stop processing grammar or something (like the amount of natie speakers i see going they is instead). But yes in theory that is how its used, and honstly how its used by most people, but theres still like a push in some academia n things to not use it ig? at leat when i ws in uni i was adviced against using they instead of he/she, so i still think its important to use it for the sake of normalizing it as like the go to neutral pronoun.
n yeah the thing is just that for trans people its very common to have people refer to u as they instead of ur preffered pronouns. Which technically is the same thing when people on refuse to use neos and use them instead but i shant speak more on it because i know my opinion on neos differs from most people on vp

anyways im rambling

tldr: yeah

Exactly, its been normal and gramatically correct to use for a single person, and they have even used it that way, but they don't realize they even use it that way themselves its just lol. Ppl like that seem dumb, like not much going on in their head honestly
