pd to cr
Account deleted

There should be another way to exchange pd to cr through the website not just by user exchange. It would add a better use for the bank. This would also help trading and allow users who can't afford to get cr by spending real money a chance to get cr besides having to trade some valuable items to even get a shot.

this was probably  brought up numerous times before................. I just really hate inflation.

??? pretty sure he profits by allowing the buying power of each credit to drop.
Why else would he raise the sales cap to allow people to sell a single item for over 1,000 credits? He's obviously embracing inflation.

Anyway, all he has to do if his wallet's feeling skinny is call up ratskeleton to design some outfits for him to whore out for those limited time credit purchase bonuses. You guys ate that shit up.

I still feel like 20cr is a lot not to mention 1000.

I really liked this game before, now I feel like its too much about wardrobe and money, sort of in real life. Rich people benefits more. But then again this is suppose to be like being a real pop star, so ehhh, rich is the better way to go. But I'm not rich, so I wouldn't know.

I kind of agree with the whole inflation deal though. Gaia online 3.5 bil gold can barely buy much good items.

Though the thing with the outfits is that they will at some point get to be too many in game to be too special.

Oh, I'm not defending inflation or anything, I agree with you in spirit. I just don't want you to raise your hopes for something that's not going to happen. Gaia runs as a business first and a community second, which is why it is such a terrible place, economically and socially. VP is run the same way. kaj's priorities are pretty clear: profits are more important than user experience.

I could go way further in-depth about what gaia and vp did/does wrong economically, but this seems to be about income inequality as much as combating inflation. Do people complain about popdollar inflation, or just the currency you have to actually pay for?

Well I'd say both as inflation with pd as well as cr often led to not enough to pay for anything, though no one even really want pd when selling everyone just wants cr.

I have legitimately no hope in that factor. Gaia used to be vice versa.. It's really sad. I just like to figure out ways to kill the inflation and still keep people somewhat have hope as new users.

Have popdollars really inflated? I see people complaining about not having pd almost as much as not having credits. People don't want popdollars when selling items because popdollars are only good for site functions and shop items younger than 24 hours. After the first 24 hours, most items are only available for credits because they're harder to earn without spending money. This is not an unforeseen effect of the 24-hour strategy; i guarantee it is intentional. Making items so time-limited forces users to check the site daily and discourages people from waiting to make purchase decisions, knowing that if they decide they want those items tomorrow they'll have to pay much more to buy the same item from someone else, so they better spend today. Of course people are going to crank up the price. people are greedy, and the system is honestly designed for them to profit by inflating prices.

anyway, i don't think popdollars have significantly inflated. The transfer rate between pd and cr really hasn't changed since the site opened and shop items are not much more expensive than they were three years ago, either. There are a lot more items coming out for girls to buy with both pd and cr, but you can't earn pd effortlessly the same way you can effortlessly order credits in bulk. While system functions sink enough pd to control pd inflation, they can't force users to spend credits for site functions because not everyone has credits to spend. It seems like they tried to compensate by making site functions incredibly expensive when using credits, but that seems like a pretty stupid idea to me.

I agree that the cr to pd ratio is about the same 1: 3k, though at some point it did drop down then rise again. Thing is this is just and average ratio, often times it's more. (Though people insist it's not more, people want cr enough to pay more than 3k)

Well considering the amount of pd in game jumped from 34mil to 174mil is sort of.....a big difference. Though there are more players. Besides, you can't really buy much of anything for 3-5k, most things goes for 10k+ (unless you see some stuff from mp around that price and not counting Fashion shop). But yeah it's more or less due to greed just because it's unavailable.
