I don't know what else the title could be, but let me go into detail with what I mean: just like there's a 'receive tag notification' when you go into profile settings, shouldn't there be one with friend requests as well? As in, you can turn your friend request notifications off if you don't want to receive friend requests from people and you can turn it on if you do want to receive them from people. You can also suggest alternatives or ways to improve this idea, but mostly brought it up because I usually receive friend requests from people I've never seen before. Also, if I were to befriend someone I'd send them a mail before I'd send them one and not just a friend request with no further explanation.
