No, she was locked into a contract with a man named Dr Luke who she alleges raped her. : ( She had to fight in court for a right to produce music without Dr. Luke. So she WAS allowed to make music, she just had to do with with the man she said really hurt her.

I know. She got shot down in court, but I still believe her. She made a lot of money with Dr Luke so I don't think she made this up. : (
