Not sure, my music taste is all over the place.. the only kpop song i have found so far that i likes was dejavu from sonamoo (I haven't heard a lot tho) ..so just some of the best songs with a great beat, i dunno

and I know hardly any boy groups, but here's some:

I showed my prof one mv and he said the only difference was that dancing in kpop seems to be more intense and focused on, but other than that every other aspect is similar. *sigh*

Yes, it does have to be exo, because that's the group I chose at the beginning of the project. I can only use one group so...
I fricken know. I ruled out Call Me Baby immediately. I showed him Growl, which he seemed to be fine with.
He meant the type of music video and how the song was put together and their voices.

maybe make it 20 seconds for the mv instead and add in a short clip of one of the members singing? i haven't been updated on exo for quite a bit but as far as i know, there's still killer vocals like chen and d.o

well ofc the music's gonna sound similar, kpop's inspired/ripped off from western music (and sm is a very good example of that)
music video wise... i feel like more effort and money is put into them in kpop than... yeah. there are a lot of american mvs i find that are flashy as well but meh.
voices though??? i don't get that part, you're not gonna find another person who sounds like sehun in the american music industry (or maybe lol)

yeah, it is very sucky
and the fact that it has to be 30 seconds and no longer, too. I would show so much more if I could to show off their voices and dancing abilities. Because yeah, I live for kpop vocals, especially Chen's <3

Exactly! the music pm has the same aspects as western pop. Wolf is a bit different and has a clear theme with a bit of acting, but I really don't wanna show that one out of all the mvs. Mama could work as far as theme and acting, as well, but only half of the group is shown in either mv. True, I haven't heard a voice like Sehun's.

I guess I want a clip that shows their dancing skills, killer vocals, and rapping. Which, tbh, can not be shown in 30 sec.

Idols tend sign their life away (I believe idols like Onew and GD are in life lock contracts pretty much) to contracts where they're perpetually in debt because of the companies investing money in them and deciding when and how much to take from them as their repayment for the investment since idols are not treated as people but as a business. So many groups don't even get paychecks like Boyfriend and at one point Block B because their companies always took everything. On ASC Eli from UKiss even said that they really don't get paid that much. Of course it's more than we would but in comparison to western idols, it's probably not even half. And western idols complain they don't make enough money on Spotify or iTunes. Smh

And let's not forget the fact that they are almost always put through extreme dieting poor work conditions, exhausting schedules that fill the entire day without breaks, and are encouraged to get surgery to look a certain way. A lot of the time they don't get choice in their style or music, but they do all of this because they wanted to pursue a passion.

And because of all that bs idols end suing their companies, or leaving all together like Kris.
