Let me throw you my favorite songs to start it off!

BIRDY - P O R T R A I T S
So there were quite a bit of songs on this one that I didn't really like. It's very different from her previous music, and I love sad ballads. That being said, there were also some more catchy songs on here that I did enjoy - rain catchers, paradise falling,  heartbreaker - but they all had to grow on me. Songs like "your arms," "i wish i was a shooting star" and "tears don't fall" was instant favorites. I also enjoyed Ruins I.  Automatic, battlefiled, ruins 2 was not it. They were quite boring. 




Hozier - Unreal Unearth
i am coming back to this one after my movie night. i quite enjoyed I, carrion. wbu? but it srusly need to read greek classics and get a language degree in some irish dialect to dissect these songs. but like EAT YOUR YOUNG a lot.

@Aske  agreed! I think my favorite single of him so far is swan upon leda but there are also a lot of other good ones. I don't think I've hear his entire discography yet.

it was released when the US overturned roe vs. wade, b\c it's about abortion rights and many examples on paths people have been forced to go down to access it... and it still says " The gateway to the world

i love over-explainations!! understanding the what the song is about lets you appreciate it on a deeper level, but i rarely pick up on the meaning of lyrics and poetry in general by myself
yeah.. but sometimes i definitively find myself having heard a song wrong and it being better in my mind before i learn the right lyrics :/ not for this song, but for others that will not be mentioned
