since they couldn't say something about their relationship, he had a small affair with miss mellon, and he didn't want helen to find out. she did anyways - the note in the maids chamber 

the voice in the common room i believe is mellon talking about helen and mrs leigh

i think that mrs leigh found out about grandfathers relationship from kubrick, he was hoping to destroy grandfathers influence in the business, and mrs leigh found it beneficial for her because she wanted to marry grandfather. 

i think different people killed miss mellon and helen, but i'm not quite sure who did, yet.

The grandfather obviously had some secret that Helen mentions in a little note, about seeing something with her own eyes and finding out about it. Perhaps about the affair with Morgan - she seems like an important person since theres barely anything about her in any files or records.
Perhaps Helen saw them having some naughty fun and later on confronted Morgan about it and she pushed her out of the window?

The candy on the ground in the greenhouse is seemingly an important clue since its where Helen landed when she jumped. The candy relates to the kitchen but there was no hints or clues other than th photo of Helen in a cookbook.
My first immediate thought was that someone wanted to cook Helen ahahah

Helen was the housemaid, yes. She managed to get one picture with your grandfather and that was her most prized possession because she had the same feelings for him as he had for her. However, she would not have thought that he was in love with her even in the wildest of her dreams as she thought she was simply the maid and had no chance with him. Your grandfather however hired her as a maid so he could keep her close to him and protect her and he planned to confess his love for her when he could muster up the courage to do that.
Before he could tell her how he felt about her she saw him with morgan mellon and learned about his affair with her and she was deeply hurt by that and wrote the note at that time. She wondered if she would be "a suitable candidate" because of her job as a maid.
When your grandfather found the note he understood that Helen had seen him with Morgan and he regretted the time he spend with Morgan thus destroying all records he had of her out of anger.

I think Morgan killed Helen because she loved your grandfather and wanted to be with him
