Not all gods are born into the divine. Avelina was once an urchin who lived on the streets of the worlds largest capital, constantly struggling to survive. Without a family to support her she was always unsure where she would get her next meal. But even these harsh circumstances did not falter her sense of generosity. Whatever little food or money she managed to scavenge she would eagerly and gladly share with the other urchins. To help one another was the only way they could truly survive in such a harsh world. Avelina's generous nature went unseen by almost everyone...except for one individual– Seraphina, the goddess of light, stars, and justice.

Touched by the untainted and innocent spirit of Avelina, Seraphina bestowed upon Avelina the gift of prophecy. Avelina could now see and hear things before they even happened. While most would abuse this gift, she used it to help better the position of the city, informing nobles and officials of coming wars or even how to prepare for natural disasters. Over time she had become responsible for the most prosperous time the capital had ever seen...but even the kindest of souls are vulnerable to the clutches of death. Avelina developed an unknown sickness, and her health began to rapidly decay. The people of the capital cried out in sadness and prayed to their gods, begging them to take mercy upon the individual who had inspired them all to to become more merciful themselves. It was inevitable that Seraphina would eventually hear some of those prayers.

Angered by the injustice of this claim on Avelina's life that Death had made, Seraphina came down from her celestial kingdom and offered Avelina a second chance– a chance to help not only the people of her precious city, but all the people of the world. Avelina accepted in a heartbeat, and became 
Avelina, Seer of The Stars– the goddess prophecy and redemption.

Sometimes it doesn't matter how prepared you are going into the harsh winter forests. It is not a matter of your clothing being warm enough, or you having enough food...sometimes it is a matter of if your spirit is strong enough. 

Legends tell of ghostly aberrations with enchanting magics living in the dense forests of the snowy mountains. They draw you in with hallucinations, using their alluring magic to lead you deeper into the woods. One might think that these women prey on the men who brave the mountains, but it's quite the opposite actually. They are far more interested in the wives and daughters that these frontiersmen often bring along.

Able to foresee these threats expanding their horizons closer to cities, Avelina created a being who could traverse these snowy mountains without difficulty– Allithea, the Maiden of Frost. Although she is far from being a goddess herself, she is able to shapeshift into a white raven who can easily fly over the forest into the skies and scout the snowy mountains for these ghostly predators. When she spots one, she is able to use her own radiant magic to destroy them. She is a protector of the innocent and a friendly guide to those who seek help in her frigid domain.
