🌑The Drekkal’Zuun - The Bloodbath🌑


Cynamity lunges forward, snatching a backpack. Only to realize it is empty as he bolts away from the Kor'Zeluun.

Meowmere, Dazzle and Sadbread form a temporary alliance. Their plan? To gather as many supplies as possible.
Meowmere manages to gather an armful of rations and nutrient bars. Sadbread finds a canteen filled with water and Dazzle finds a shovel.
Sadbread also manages to find a bow and arrows, so when they spot Glade, they can't help but to test the bow. The arrow grazes the edge of Glade's ear, luckily nothing fatal but it did result in Glade stumbling back, then fleeing the Kor'Zeluun.
Moments later Dazzle, Meowmere and Sadbread vanishes into the dunes together.

In the center of it all, Suchomimus and Feminem fights over a bag. Feminem manages to yank it free with brute force and Suchomimus withdraws. Feminem finds that the bag is filled with explosives.
Suchomimus isn't happy with his harvest so he snatches a sword and a cluster of throwing knives. He is ready for war.

Eliah rushes in, grabbing a sword. She looks around to see what else she can find when she meets Dazzle's cold stare. Dazzle makes one step forward, scaring Eliah off.

Bexxi finds a bag, it seems heavy. When she looks inside she dicovers that it is filled with explosives.

☀️Day 1 of the Drekkal’Zuun☀️

Bexxi wanders through the rocky terrain, she's hungry for a kill. She finds Eliah near a sand dune. Bexxi attacks the unaware Eliah, and they clash into a fight. Eliah's sword is near, but there is no chance of reaching for it - It's fists against fists.
Bexxi overpowers Eliah, now would be a great chance to end things. But Bexxi decides not to, and just leaves Eliah lying in the sand.

Feminem scavenges the dry plains, searching for firewood - She wants to stay warm tonight.
Instead she finds something that has much more value, perhaps not for survival, but for winning - A trident.
Later that afternoon, her path cross with Bexxi. Bexxi seems to be running away from something, so Feminem takes aim and throws the trident. However she just exactly misses and Bexxi is soon gone behind the dunes.

Cynamity spends his day near a shallow crater lake, attempting to hunt fish with a homemade spear. However the peace doesn't last long as Suchomimus spots him from a ridge and gives chase.
Luckily Cynamity reacts fast, escaping into the rocks.

Suchomimus doesn't want to use all his energy just yet so he continues his journey.
Later he stumbles across Glade. The two of them agree in silence, to work together for the day.

Meanwhile, the trio consisting of Dazzle, Meowmere and Sadbread still stands. They hunt for other tributes. During one of their breaks, Meowmere crafts a spear from Martian driftwood, Sadbread explores a shattered ravine, discovering a Kirr plant - could be useful for later.
Dazzle on the other hand isn't so lucky. While running during a hunt, her foot slips and she crashes down onto a rocky slope, scraping her arm badly.

🌘Night 1 of the Drekkal’Zuun🌘
The cold Martian night falls swiftly. The sky above is black and breathless, and the dust glows faintly under the moons' pale light.

Around a flickering fire, Dazzle makes a meal of the rations they gathered during the Drekkal'Zuun. The trio, Sadbread, Dazzle and Meowmere sit close together.
To lift their spirits they tell each other ghost stories. Later as they curl up beside the fire, Meowmere and Sadbread both cry quietly to themselves.

Elsewhere, Eliah huddles behind a cracked rock wall. A drone descends silently, dropping a small pouch. Inside is a little flask with clean water. She drinks slowly, the water recharging her energy and her will to win.

Far away, Bexxi receives two gifts. One with fresh food and one with a hatchet. Content with her gifts she sits down, enjoying the food and sharpening the hatchet.

Meanwhile, Suchomimus starts a fire beneath a curved stone overhang. Glade sits close by, arms around her knees.
When Cynamity stumble into their camp, not realizing who sits there. Suchomimus nods without question welcoming him to camp for the night.
The three sit closely around the fire, speaking of the Kor'Zeluun, about the games and what is to come. The conversation only brings Cynamity to think of how it would feel winning.

When it is time to rest, Cynamity curls near the fire. His body shakes, as he tears roll down his cheeks. Suchomimus notices and starts humming until Cynamity manages to fall asleep.

Feminem is awoken by nightmares.
