The broken items are a glitch and thus we don’t believe they should be used. If you wouldn’t have any items that wasn’t broken then we would discuss if we would need to make an exception. It’s also to assure us that if the items would work again your entry wouldn’t be affected by that. There is also a chance that the broken items might get fixed before the competition ends, which would create an unfair situation for those who didn’t get to use it.
