centuries ago...

the audience was anticipating what would be known as the greatest act in history. it was valentines day and several couples sat huddled on the bleachers, children were stuffing their mouths with popcorn between their parents. it was the first time the act had travelled to america, using their annual valentine act in this new land. it was not long after the audience had settled that the lights dimmed and the simmering sounds quickly died down. a drum-roll broke the silence and the speakers started to croak.

"welcome, welcome! we hope you all excited for our first act in america... so please, give a round of applause to our own... valentine clowns!" and from the red curtains hanging in the back, two girls ran out hand in hand. they bowed to the audience as they applauded.

"hello", one of the clowns said and waved her gloved hand at the audience. "we are the valentine clowns and we want to thank you for welcoming us. we hope to bring you on a journey of laughter, but mostly... of love!", she exclaimed. the latter in a strong voice as she pulled a plastic rose from what seemed like thin air. the audience gasped and gave out a huff of laughter, as the clown gave the flower to her partner who accepted it with warmth. without any paus, they started their routine – more acrobatic than most clowns, but with their cheeky humour shined through their whole performance. small expressions of love was seen through out, even minimal kissing that turned the audience double with laughter as they hopped around making faces. as soon as it started, it was over and the girls left to a standing ovation.

behind the scenes, the clowns clasped their hands together – cheering from another successful performance. both of the clowns looked into each others eyes, feeling the love of valentines and once again shared a kiss with meaning. there was a soft honking sound from their red noses bumping together that brought them to laughter, something they would certainly incorporate in their next act... for the next year, at valentines day.

Black and white. Two polar opposites, bond together by the color of love. They are opposites of each other, one is selfish with a tainted heart and one is loving with a pure soul. Two people that normally would never get along has somehow found each other. Love, red, binds the black and white together and creates a bridge between something that otherwise never would have happened. 

Without the other one, they would be incomplete. Together, they complete each other.
